  1. I don't have a Switch, but I totally hear you on HZD being awesome. I've nearly (I think) finished the Frozen Wilds.
  2. I don't think you can use China as a yard-stick for anything. World of Warcraft bombed everywhere except China, doesn't mean it is an objectively bad or good film. Just that something in it appealed to Chinese audiences but not to Western ones. From a sheer dollar perspective, TLJ was a roaring success. Disney will definitely continue with the plan for IX in December 2019, they'd take a hammering on Wall Street if they suddenly pulled the last episode of a trilogy that investors were counting on to bring in some guaranteed billions just to give the franchise a rest. The complaints from fans are largely fit into the "I was fine with people changing things up until I learned all the rules, but now nobody else is allowed to change anything any more." camp. We were fine with the force just being good reflexes, telekinesis and a ghost of some sort. Then we were fine with lightning coming out of people's fingers because why not, then we were fine with long distance telepathic communication, then we were fine with lightsabers blocking electricity flying out of people's fingers, and Yoda catching lightning in his hands. In any event, I liked TFA and TLJ, I like that they are changing the paradigm, making the world more grey and nuanced and less black and white.
  3. Nintendo only competes with other platforms when it comes to share of wallet, it almost never competes on a like-for-like basis. Doesn't matter if it is an open world game or an FPS, a popular Ninty game drains the wallets of people who might otherwise have bought something, anything, on another platform. Dean's correct in so far as the venn diagram of people who consciously and specifically chose Zelda over HZD likely has a small overlap. However, TCP and Ethan are correct in that people who can only afford one game a quarter likely chose Zelda as their one game, thus squeezing out HZD (and everything else that released in that quarter).
  4. "They will be the best jobs, huge"... ISWYDT.
  5. Opus Magnum (thanks Ethan) At least I finished the story. Still have the post mission puzzles to do. Really enjoy watching the machines build things. Very cathartic.
  6. I wish more companies would put a screen protector on in the factory. My OnePlus 2 came with a (plastic) screen protector in place. I'd happily pay a bit more for a glass one.
  7. If we're going down a slippery slope then why not go all the way to the bottom? You can't just join the military to get free guns and transportation, they should let people join, but they should pay for their guns and flights. Seriously though, if you can't represent what you are fighting for in the group that are fighting for it, then what is the point?
  8. Do you call anything "sausages" or are all vaguely cylindrical pork products called "wieners"?
  9. I'm also fine with them since the alternative would have been chasing a protected species from its habitat. (Or finding somewhere else to shoot I guess). So yeah. I'm team Porg (also team ).
  10. Do you lot actually call Sausage Dogs (Dachshunds) Wiener Dogs? via Ethan's twitter.
  11. You're welcome Goh! and thanks to Ethan for my gifts.
  12. I agree, while TFA was a good return to the Star Wars we all know and love, TLJ finally took us in a new direction.
  13. I'm finding that contrary to popular theory, as I get older and more well off, I'm actually veering further and further left. Re: The exit poll, that's some troubling reading, wtf is wrong with white people?!?
  14. Gods, it's hideous. What does skyrim do? Let you walk normally? I get why they do it, teleporting does do wonders for motion sickness, but that looks like a hideous experience.
  15. Re: Stuff being locked out for vanilla players. https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/46537
  16. @deanb agreed. Big nope. Not familiar with the source material but the bug eyes thing makes her look like a flippin' Powerpuff Girl. Also, Ready Player One seems to have captured the source material perfectly in so far as it is a list of things that people may or may not be nostalgic for.
  17. Haha, have added everything I can see that I would like. I'm time poor and tend to only play games during lunch breaks.
  18. Couldn't agree more. World War Z was about trying to stop a glacier, not outrun a flood. The point was that running from them is easy until you end up with no place left to run to. It's a completely different type of scary. “World War Z is a name synonymous with heart-pounding fear and action, and we’re excited to finally capture that energy in a fast-paced and gruesome experience crafted specifically for modern consoles and PC,” said Saber Interactive CEO illiterate numbskull Matt Karch in a statement.
  19. Which one? Rampage looks crap, am curious to see if the next coin-op movie will be Bubble Bobble, or Altered Beast.
  20. OMG! CoD Launch day! Time to suckle at the corporate teat y'all!

I was kinda interested in the game tbh... then I saw the loot boxes and my interest flew away to somewhere I can not follow.
