I don't get why DC don't get what made Marvel good. You do a bunch of decent films with origin stories, like Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, feed in some other characters, sidekicks, villains etc. THEN you do the ensemble film and bring it all together with a bang.
You don't throw out your good foundation (Nolan Trilogy) and then immediately do an ensemble film where you either assume everyone knows the back stories, or doesn't care.
Personally, I only really know Joker and Harley. Croc and Deadshot I am peripherally aware of thanks to Arkham games. The others are complete unknowns. So as an ensemble film this does nothing for me, especially after the lacklustre reviews of BvS.
I get that they don't want to spend the next five years or so grafting to get to where Marvel are, but on their current trajectory they're just never going to get there. Shrug.
