  1. Played through The Beginner's Guide. It was incredibly moving. Thanks Chewie.
  2. Chewie is a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you so much for: Elite: Dangerous Flamebreak Congo The Beginner's Guide You guys and gals are the besterest! :'D
  3. Not from a lore point of view no. I think the films should be as self contained as possible. That's not to say that I don't recognise that back stories from outside the films can be canonical, it's just that it don't care about it. Much like I don't care a great deal about the Silmarillion, Eru and Melkor when I am watching LotR.
  4. This is my jumping off point for Star Wars discussion. If it's not in the films, I really don't care.
  5. It's at 1 or 2 for me. Maybe 1. Ranking is: 1 TFA 1 TESB 3 ANH 4 ROTJ 4 ROTS 6 AOTC 9 TPM
  6. It'd be a pain to make it GeoIP specific. Most folk just apply it across the board I think.
  7. That's rather inconsiderate. I get that you're pumped and want to download to your buddy, but you should still respect that others are on a normal sleeping schedule and try to keep it down a little (or at least apologise for being a little overexcited).
  8. No love for chips and curry sauce?
  9. Pretty much as TCP says. Memorial day could be any time of the year. If I'd been asked to guess I'd have gone for "November-ish" since that's general war memorial season in the UK so I have no idea whether to mentally file as "coming soon" or "coming later". (I wasn't anywhere near annoyed as I appeared by the way. A 5 second trip to Google solved the mystery. It's just dumb Americentric nonsense that annoys me. I was just venting for fun.) Back to the point in hand. I liked the other recent Xmans but I feel a bit burnt out on the franchise. Also, Sansa as Jean Grey does not excite me.
  10. You mean like Easter, which is the first Sunday after the first full moon on or after March 21? We Americans are so ridiculous with our complicated "last Monday of May". I'm not criticising the timing of memorial day, I'm criticising the use of a moveable holiday as a release date. I've never seen a UK movie advertised with a release date of "Coming Easter", largely because it moves about and people would shrug their shoulders and say "No idea when that is coming out then." and would miss the big day. (Unless they are parents in which case they'll have a vague idea due to school holidays.)
  11. YEAH! First, they should be on the DATE-MONTH-YEAR bandwagon. It's really annoying living next to them because it's probably 50/50 when you see a date if it's M-D-Y or D-M-Y, they confuse everything. AND THEN, using Memorial Day?? That can't be a real holiday. AND it moves between around the 25th to 30th May every year as well. At least when you say "Boxing Day" it's the 26th December every year. Not some arbitrary 2 Tuesday of the month except on even numbered years that start on a Monday bollocks.
  12. What the fuck is fucking memorial day? For fucks sake America, use a fucking calendar. Fucking 30th of fucking May 20 fucking 16. There. Was that so fucking difficult? I fucking hate this "Holiday 2016", "Fall 2017" shit. Just use fixed a fucking date on the Gregorian fucking calendar you cocks.
  13. No Will Smith is definitely A+++. They haven't cast his kid as his kid have they? It's the sort of thing I can imagine Hollywood doing. EDIT: They have not. They cast some dude called Jesse Usher.
  14. It's just *really* densely populated in some areas, and very sparsely populated in others. e.g. ~10% of the country's (89,000 sq miles) population lives in the greater London area (600 square miles). Which works out at about 10% of the Population living in 0.6% of the area.
  15. Presumably has crappy signal where he lives.
  16. I thought PC was early next year, PS4 November. Yeah, Q1 2016 for PC, "Holiday" 2016 for PS4. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/07/23/rise-of-the-tomb-raider-gets-ps4-and-pc-release-dates
