There's rule of law now, it's not the wild west, there's no threat of invasion and if there was it would not be repelled by locals with no military training and small arms and as for fighting off your own government a few handguns aren't going to do fuck all against tanks and drone strikes. Fact is that gun bans have been proven to work in both the UK and Australia, countries that are broadly speaking culturally similar to the US (when compared to China, India, Japan etc). Not banning guns boils down to the fact that Americans like having guns. And Sandy Hook proved that they like having guns more than they like children being alive.

Worth noting with decrypting that the RNG is affected by the light level of your equipped gear. So even if you never wear it in combat you should: 1. Equip your highest level gear. 2. Decode an engram. 3. If the item is higher level, equip it, if not don't. 4. Repeat. I was an idiot when I started playing and would decrypt about 10 engrams all at once probably costing me a huge amount in potential light levels.

Just crack open the case. As a bonus, you can then stick the 500GB drive in the case and get an external drive. I did it for my system (the external drive was cheaper than the internal).

Not from a lore point of view no. I think the films should be as self contained as possible. That's not to say that I don't recognise that back stories from outside the films can be canonical, it's just that it don't care about it. Much like I don't care a great deal about the Silmarillion, Eru and Melkor when I am watching LotR.

This is my jumping off point for Star Wars discussion. If it's not in the films, I really don't care.
