  1. He was part of a team that wrote a comedy drama called Gavin and Stacey which, largely due to featuring i) regional accents and ii) fat people being disgusting, was lauded as comedy genius. He has then gone on to put his talentless, gurning, smug, round face in everything from Doctor Who to a chat show called a league of their own. A lack of talent, plus ubiquity has led to him being universally despised but at the same time impossible to get rid of. He keeps getting cast as "loveable fat bloke" despite only fulfilling two of the requirements.
  2. Did I write that? It seems like something I would write. I fucking hate that talentless oxygen thief. Fuck James Corden.
  3. I really liked that level. It was a neat way to introduce something new to stealth games. As well as the bugle and other distractions using yourself as a distraction and taking advantage of the bots patrol routes was (I thought) kind of neat. It was more subterfuge than stealth, but it fits with the Robin Hood theme. He wasn't always a ghost, he would quite often pop up to thumb his nose at authority.
  4. The characters as well. The local busybody, the farmer, the pastor, the affairs that everyone knows about. It's perfect.
  5. Beat EBGTTR. Really enjoyed it. Reminded me of home.
  6. +1 Volume purchase (PS4). Also got Everybody's Gone To The Rapture.

  8. (Wasn't showing off my qualifications btw, just commenting that despite being in a profession that pays well, it's still not enough)
  9. If it is any consolation, I'm a qualified solicitor and I also have pretty much accepted I'll never be able to buy a house.
  10. Shocking, I am shocked. The face I am wearing now. My shocked face. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/right-to-buy-40-of-homes-sold-under-government-scheme-are-being-let-out-privately-10454796.html 40% of Right to Buy Council Houses are now being privately let, at up to 7 times the social rent rate. "Council House" property owned by the government and rented to those on low/no income, also known as "social housing". "Right to Buy" the government allows residents of Council Houses to purchase the property (often at a discounted rate). Surprisingly, having bought their house at a discounted price, people then sell it on at a higher price, allowing them to move on to somewhere bigger/nicer. The people buying these houses then rent these places out at a high price so that nobody can afford to live anywhere unless they already own a house. Brilliant work. Simply brilliant.
  11. I thought that as soon as I posted it. Meh.
  12. That would require long term planning by a government that's only got a 4 year term.
  13. I'm still annoyed by the bartender joke.
  14. The only solutions I can think of are: 1. Build more houses. Whether that is the government itself building them, or actually forcing house builders to use the land they've bought to build houses on (there's a lot of land that is owned by major house builders, with planning permission granted that is not being built on as a shortage keeps demand, price and profits high). 2. Higher taxes on buy to lets combined with a cap on private rent rates. At the moment there are two main types of house buyers. Those who are buying a place to live, and those how are investing. The ones investing have far more disposable income and have properties already that they are able to use as collateral to get mortgages. They are then able to charge high rents because... there are no houses in the area for sale because they have all been bought to let. The people who are buying a place to live have less capital and no existing property to leverage so they pay high rent, and are unable to save so they have less capital etc... No government will ever do either of these because it would crash the housing market and everyone who had a mortgage would be deep in negative equity. It would pretty much guarantee that they would never get elected again.
  15. It's pretty fucking simple. Compare Gov't built housing line to average house price.
  16. I actually do rate the Tories fiscally over Labour. I think they are nasty enough to make choices that are for the benefit of the country but are wildly unpopular. We've recovered a lot better than others. I think back to Clegg's pre election Wizzard of Oz statement that Lib Dems would give a heart to Tories and a brain to Labour and think he was spot on. I wish we had a coalition again. It worked well last time and all the usual Tory bollocks like fox hunting wouldn't even come up cos they know it would get nixxed by Lib Dems for easy brownie points.
  17. Mass Effect: Andromeda's back looks like a /StunnedFace emoji.
  18. I'm guessing that's Sony's aim. Push everyone on to yearly subs. Makes their revenue look better and more predictable.
  19. Combined Washer-Dryers are a thing. So it's not so much a space issue. Waste pipes for dryers are a bit of a pain as they tend to be huge, if they weren't installed at the time the house was built / kitchen/laundry room was refitted, then they tend to be too much trouble. Also, as others have stated, second to the fridge/freezer washer-driers are the most energy hungry appliances in the home (UK doesn't go in for home AC obviously) it's not sensible to spend that much when hanging stuff up for a day or two will do the job for free.
  20. You could do a quick check on CEX website for a rough idea.
  21. If you watch the video closely, you can see all the branching paths that lead to places other than Elysium. Heading to a building is going to have an optimum route, and once you are in a building corridors are inevitable so a degree of linearity is to be expected in the trailer. I wouldn't take a five minute run to a cutscene as an indication of how open/closed the game will be.
  22. Aren't all windows desktops virtual?
  23. It's mostly about FOMO from what I can tell. This guy feels he needs to have a working knowledge of every piece of pop culture to be relevant. I get it, but I don't really agree with the sentiment. P.S. Sorry to hear you went long distance on the relationship. Will you be heading south of the wall soon?
  24. At least MS are being upfront about Tomb Raider being a timed excl... oh, no... wait. It's still in their list of games coming Exclusively to Xbox (this year). The massive bellends.
