I get the point, Uncharted Trilogy is a jewel in the crown of the PS Now service, and for the many people who made the perilous journey from Xbox 360 to PS4 ownership it would be their first (and only) opportunity to play the series, making it a killer app for PS Now. By offering the games on disc, there is a risk of undermining the current value of PS Now, and indeed of the entire concept: If all classics are going to get a remaster, then what is the point of a subscription service that offers you access to unremastered classics?

In Mcwhertor's defence, he claims he didn't have any info that wasn't publicly available, and had only gone through with the domain purchase to see if there was a hold on it from someone else (e.g. Lego or WB Games). He directed the traffic to (admittedly Polygon) pages that were related to the game and as soon as he was contacted he handed the domain over. If anything, Lego and WB Games need to get their shit together. Other companies start registering domain names as soon as a name is decided on. It costs eff all and stops people squatting on the domain and doing all sorts of nefarious stuff. In short, Mcwhertor was perhaps a little bit cheeky in going all the way through with the purchase, but I think it can be attributed to being a bit overzealous in his attempts to "investigate". Lego and WB Games dropped the ball by not registering the domain ages ago. Lego and WB Games should be thanking their lucky stars that a good guy got the domain and not a baddy. Sony need to watch out for this too, their TM registrations have been woefully slack of late.

Treating isn't about buying politicians with big sums of money. It's about incentivising people to vote for you by giving them stuff. It doesn't matter how small the incentive is, the point is that elections should be voted on based on the policies of the party / candidate, not on a free lunch. Of course this will be spun as picking on the little guy and all that jazz, but the rule is you can't buy votes, it doesn't matter what price the vote is bought for. It's a matter of principle, not of scale. Finally, it's being investigated. Because if you break a law (even as a matter of technicality), and it is reported to the police, they technically have to investigate it, then make a decision, along with the CPS based on amount of evidence, likelihood of conviction and public policy whether or not to follow through with it. In all likelihood, there will be no charges because it is de minimis and there was no corrupt intent.

I'm pretty sure the "Treating" element here comes in the form of playing a game or two of pool with Jimmy White (under the entertainment category) rather than a sausage roll or two. "A person is guilty of treating if... they directly or indirectly give or provide any food, drink, entertainment or provision to corruptly influence any voter to vote or refrain from voting."

@Dean: It won't be UKIP. No way. UKIP are a one policy party. "Get out of Europe". Neither Tories, nor Labour really want that. Plus there is the fact that UKIP are racist leaning and generally a bit of a Clarkson outfit. To be honest, I don't think we should even be having a referendum on EU membership. Very few of the voting population will be aware of the actual implications and it will descend into a load of "Brussels telling us what shape our bananas should be." bollocks and a load of complaining about how terrible free movement is. This will inevitably lead to an exit from Europe with everyone thinking how great that is until they realise that as a country that is a net importer with limited natural resources we are suddenly paying a lot more for all that stuff, and the businesses that do export are seeing profits fall as they pay foreign taxes, we'll also be queuing longer in airports, which isn't fun. Basically, the UK's place of prominence in the world is due to its role as a hub. We're a place that has pretty good relationships with most countries, even the ones we borrowed. We are part of Europe, but speak the same language as America, we have our history with Hong Kong as a foot in the door to the Far East, we're basically the Babylon 5 of the world and leaving Europe is only going to damage that status.

Philip has some great stories but awful awful awful titles. "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale". Awful. "Counter-Clock World". Awful. "Dr. Futurity" Awwwwful. Although, "The Man Whose Teeth Were All Exactly Alike" is somewhat amusing.

I'm only a mere level 13 (I think) Professional. Presumably this has little to no effect on endgame, e.g. your end stats can be the same regardless of where you start out.

I've heard you can kite them to a room where they can't follow you... Might exploit the bastards.

Oh, and another thing... Who's bright idea was it to lock up character levelling until you have met a boss?!? What the fuck is insight? Is it consumable? Or is it a level thing? The game doesn't just need a tutorial. It needs a glossary, and a map. Oh well. Now that I'm able to level a bit I'm going to farm some and then we'll see who's a murderous sunnavabitch.

Had a crack at the first boss. Was thoroughly unprepared, got him down to about 2/3 health but I only had a couple of blood vials, no molotovs. As much as I love From's games, I do wish they would do a little more in the way of tutorials. It was only after losing to the boss that I discovered that you can assign items to the quick select menu. Up to then I had been doing the following insanity: 1. Target monster with R3. 2. Press touchpad to bring up item menu. 3. Highlight Molotov. 4. Press x to throw Molotov. By which time I've spent about 10 seconds with a menu floating over half of my screen and the monster in question has moved out of range. Rather than having Molotovs ready on quick select and hitting square.

This game. This beautiful, magnificent bastard of a game. I will never beat it. I already know that. It's a double hard bastard. But I love it just the same.

Finishing Danganronpa 2. Just got Island Mode to complete then she is le plat! Also, acquired Bloodborne today. So, gonna die, quite a bit.

The only counterpoint I have for TFG is that shops want you to take their bag with their goods because it turns you into a walking billboard for the store that sold you stuff. That said, I agree with the system, except that I would prefer that all profit from the bag purchase went straight to the treasury.

I'm sure if that happened to anyone on this forum, everything would turn out fine.
