  1. Yeah, like I said I bounced off P3 the first time, I think the only reason I was able to get into it the second time was because I'd played P4G so I was more familiar with the structure of the game and everything wasn't so overwhelming. P4G is definitely a better entry point to the series than P3P (or FES).
  2. Lol, well I heard nothing but constant praise for Persona 3 and 4, so I tried P3 FES and bounced off, but then I tried P4G and loved it, so then I went back to P3P and while it wasn't as good as P4G I really liked it too, and it seems like TMS#FE is a logical step from there...
  3. I started Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE last night. I'm not very far into it, I've only just finished the prologue dungeon, but so far I'm liking how it seems similar enough to the Persona games to appeal to me on that basis, but different enough that I'm not going to get myself burnt out on that series right before Persona 5 comes out. This is me easing myself into JRPGs. Until P4G I'd never enjoyed one (other than Pokemon, which I feel doesn't really count) since Tales of Destiny on the PS1.
  4. Most don't realize it's just tap water. Also, people are really, really stupid.
  5. I got my character's faces perfect the first time around, I don't want to have to try to remake them. If the characters carry over then I'll stick with PS4, but if they don't then I'll probably jump ship to PC. Unless the console characters can carry over to PC in which case I'll jump ship no matter what, but I don't see MS and Sony allowing that.
  6. IIRC Sokolov is your inventor-support dude this time around.
  7. So US tap water is to you what Mexican tap water is to us. Joke's on you though, cause most bottled water is just tap water from wherever the bottling plant happens to be, with no extra treatment applied.
  8. Well yeah, there's contamination in some places (hence my comment about Flint), but it's at least intended to be potable.
  9. The data isn't tied to a specific console by necessity, just by manufacturer requirements. That's why you can migrate from PS3 to PS4 but not PS3 to XB1. Bungie said from the get go that you'll carry your same character through the full 10 year Destiny plan, and considering the whole game is about progress and persistence I'll be really irritated if they bail on that. Though it would give me a good opportunity to jump ship to PC. As far as the level thing, with TTK they gave you an item to raise one character straight to 25, and with RoI they gave you one to get to 40, they could just do that again for Destiny 2.
  10. Refrigerator is the full term but fridge is what people say a lot of the time (why is there a d in fridge but not refrigerator?), freezers are just freezers, and we have cold water coming out of our faucets that and it's potable unless you live in Flint, Michigan. Actually, I learned recently that in Britland apparently your hot water is considered kind of not potable? Because of something about the way your old timey water heaters worked. And that as a result you often have completely separate hot and cold taps instead of mixer ones like we have. That all completely blew my mind. Informative video on the subject:
  11. Oh man, if we lose our characters I'm gonna be so pissed. That was the major promise of Destiny from the start, that you'll carry your same character through the entire series.
  12. The [square Enix Franchise] GO games are pretty good.
  13. Went ahead and got TMS#FE. Apparently it doesn't support off-screen play though, which is a bummer since that's basically the WiiU's only redeeming feature.
  14. Persona 3 Portable It's a little rougher around the edges than P4G, even taking into account the limitations of the PSP, and I felt like it ended more abruptly than P4G, but overall it's a good game. Now time to get hype for P5.
  15. To hit on one of FLD's points:
  16. All the Dragon Age: Inquisition DLCs were on sale for $4.94 each on PSN
  17. I like the dude putting his hand out all "wtf is this shit?"
  18. Maybe it's a regional thing, but growing up while I did know a couple of people who would put mayo on their sandwiches it wasn't the norm. My wife's mom's family (from South Dakota) is the first group of people I ever encountered who just assume mayo goes on every sandwich (for instance if making sandwiches for a group they just put mayo on all of them without even thinking about it). It's not even so much putting mayo on the sandwich that I find bizarre, it's when it's treated as the default that it's weird to me. To me it's more like eating french fries with mustard, it's definitely a thing people do but you're not going to assume it's what everyone wants.
  19. We butter bread, just not typically for sandwiches (one exception being grilled cheese sandwiches). Some people do use mayo like butter on sandwiches, but not everyone, and even as an American I find that practice completely bizarre.
