  1. I think Goh got it on cdkeys. If I'd done that I wouldn't have bothered either, but the preorder I had was at $44.99, so dropping to $35.99 is pretty great. *Edit - I remember a time, admittedly like back in high school, where for simplicity's sake I just assumed £1 = $2 and it was close enough to work.
  2. I just put "I'd like to cancel my Deus Ex Mankind Divided preorder" or something like that. It was pretty basic. If you select the refund category then it has a bunch of other boxes for the more specific info like order number and stuff.
  3. Now Deus Ex is 40% off on GMG, so I'm gonna cancel my previous 25% off order... *Edit - With the 40% off it comes to $35.99, which is actually slightly cheaper even than cdkeys has it. And my original order was cancelled within about 10 minutes of filing the request.
  4. I think this was my main problem. Thinking on it more, I don't think I actually got all the way to the end of season 3, I think I quit in the middle, and the cliffhanger I was thinking of was just one of the end of episode ones. It was just one of those things where after I finished the episode I realized that I didn't care about what was happening, so there was no incentive to keep watching. In order for a cliffhanger to be effective you have to care about what's going on and care about the outcome, but by that point the series was so boring that I just didn't care anymore. And I was watching downloaded copies of the series, so it's not even like I had to wait a week to watch the next one, it was right there on my hard drive and I just didn't even care to hit play.
  5. I'm not gonna lie, I totally loved Battlestar. But I would definitely not try to defend it as being something that one "should" like.
  6. Because when I watched the series I got to the end of season 3 and didn't care what happened next. You even say later in your post that season 3 is boring.
  7. Seems like the MGS version of Undead Nightmare. I don't get why people are upset.
  8. Does anybody know if I activate the preorder ship do I lose access to the resources and upgrades on my current ship, or will they be transferred?
  9. I agree the moment-to-moment gameplay feels amazing, it's the quasi-mmo structure that's turned me off. I feel like I have to invest so much time in it and I don't feel like I have the time to invest.
  10. Poor Hot Heart, the only person who still cares about Destiny.
  11. Woohoo, it finally works! And now that it's not crashing all the time I can play it wonderfully at highest settings.
  12. I notice they don't mention the fact that the plot gets dumber and dumber as it goes on so by the time season 3 ends on a cliffhanger you realize you don't even care what happens next.
  13. I hope they do a sequel series and that they do it like American Horror Story, where the different seasons are largely unrelated to each other other than minor nods that you wouldn't even notice if you hadn't seen the others.
  14. Yeah, that's why I don't do it.
  15. It's procedurally generated, of course they're going to show off especially cool stuff in the trailers, but that doesn't mean everything's going to be like that.
  16. https://twitter.com/NoMansSky/status/765327116317646849 I know I shouldn't get my hopes up but I'm doing it anyway.
  17. That video will be super handy. I'd intended to replay HR before MD came out, but then I started P3P and 50 hours later I'm still not done yet.
  18. The fact that it took them 3 years to listen to the requests for folders is just...
  19. So I took pictures of the moon a couple nights ago with our camera just to try it out. It's not nearly as impressive as that Nikon, but I don't think it's too shabby. I think much further a zoom would be pretty much useless without a tripod. I made cropped ones too so you can see the difference in detail without having to open them in a new tab or anything. Un-zoomed: Zoomed: Also, does anybody else see the creeper in the moon?
  20. Says the guy who was complaining about No Man's Sky's day one patch and how they shouldn't have sent it for pressing until it was done.
  21. The Persona games do it for sure (I'm playing Persona 3 Portable right now, and Persona 4 Golden did it too). I feel like there are other JRPGs that I've played that also did it, but that would have been like 20 years ago.
  22. The thing (in JRPGs especially) where if the PC dies you lose the game, even if other party members are still up and you have revives available.
  23. There's only 3 races, so only 3 languages to work out.
