  1. I actually liked the first Watch Dogs but weirdly have pretty much no interest in this one.
  2. Because that's been the practice. *Edit - I think it's more like continuing to call various groups Christians/Churches after they broke away from the Catholic Church, which used to just be The Church. *Edit 2 - "Jedi" encompasses the larger idea of the force-wielding warrior monk in addition to the Jedi Order itself.
  3. Maybe we need to have two terms, jedi with a lowercase j and Jedi with a capital J...
  4. I think Grey Jedi would be right. Sith apprentices are often called Dark Jedi, so it makes sense that someone in the middle would be a Grey Jedi even if they're enemies with the actual Jedi Order.
  5. Okay, but what I'm asking is they specifically say they can be used anywhere you can swipe or tap (sorry for conflating chip and tapping, both of those rolled out around here at approximately the same time so typically if you can do one you can do the other too). So I'm wondering how they work in a place you can only swipe, since I've never actually tried it. *Edit - Looking into it, apparently it's only Samsung pay that works with swiping, Android pay requires the NFC setup. Also, about the £30 limit, just an interesting side note is we don't have that because we don't have the pins anyway except on debit cards. *Edit 2 - Apparently Samsung phones actually have a magnetic thing inside the phone that projects a field that tricks the reader into thinking you actually swiped a physical card. That's neat. http://www.theverge.com/2015/8/13/9146965/samsung-pay-mobile-payment-credit-card-readers-date
  6. Android Pay and Samsung Pay both say they work anywhere you can swipe your card, not just places with chip readers. Does anyone have any idea how that works? I get that the phone can imitate the signal from a chip for the chip readers, but how does it work for the swiping?
  7. We still don't have pins for our chipped credit cards, and even though I got a new debit card earlier this year it doesn't have a chip.
  8. I've never heard of bound but it's pretty as fuck.
  9. Also rock and roll is corrupting today's youth, as is disco, and hip-hop, and boy bands, and whatever the fuck Justin Beiber is... Also all of those things aren't even music, they're just noise, they're not nearly as complicated and beautiful as real music... GET OFF MY LAWN!
  10. Yeah, no, those people crazy, "whoop" and "whoa" are two entirely different sounds.
  11. I really wanted to like that game, but it was just so damn janky.
  12. Nailed it.
  13. Okay, so I think in the update they changed the in-game vsync setting to adaptive vsync, because forcing vsync on through my graphics card settings fixed the problem.
  14. I read Three-Body Problem a few months ago and thought it was absolutely terrible. I get that it's translated from Chinese, but the translator didn't do a very good job of making the language seem natural. On top of that the basic premise is deeply stupid. It's good for about the first third of the book until you find out what's going on and then you're like "oh, that's really dumb".
  15. Ever since today's patch I've been getting wicked bad screen tearing, no matter what I set vsync to.
  16. The first time I launched it I'm like 80% sure that said "game", not "update". I haven't read it since, but I agree with your interpretation of what that says.
  17. Yes, it's incredibly incredibly stupid. Especially since you have to unlock the highest difficulty, meaning if you think you ever might want to play that you have to keep the game installed forever.
  18. I switched content servers to UK and now it's validating, which is more than it was doing before. It's only gonna take 25 minutes, too! *Edit - Yep, that worked! I take back every bad thing I ever said about the UK. Except iced tea is still the best.
  19. Steam says there's an update, scheduled for 5 minutes from now. I want to play now so I force it to update, it fails, adds 2 minutes to scheduled time. I wait, scheduled time arrives, it tries to start update, fails, adds 5 minutes to scheduled time. I try to launch game, it tries to update, fails, tells me it can't launch the game. I launch Steam in offline mode, it won't let me play without the update. I am ready to stab someone. *Edit - I can't even fucking delete the game and redownload it because that will break my saves because WHY THE FUCK WOULD THEY MAKE IT LIKE THAT?!
  20. I haven't had any bugs either, but I've only played like 5-6 hours. I will reload a save if I'm detected for something I just did, but I'm not gonna load a save from half an hour earlier just to avoid a body being found or something.
  21. Read FLD's comment right above yours.
  22. That's more aggressive than my strategy, which is stealth until detected, then reload last save.
