  1. The reveal did imply that, but I think that theory would say that implication is just misdirection. *Edit - Also, yeah, I hadn't even thought of that foreshadowing bit, now I agree it seems even more likely.
  2. Now I want to hear what you think about all these massive spoiler thoughts I had/found elsewhere:
  3. http://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/most-earth-like-worlds-have-yet-to-be-born-according-to-theoretical-study Not so much technology as science, but a study has concluded that Earth is one of the earliest 8% of all rocky planets in the habitable zone of stars that are likely to ever form. It's not mentioned in the article, and 8% is still an absolute shitload of planets, but it makes me think of the "we're the first" hypothesis for explaining the Fermi paradox.
  4. How inconsiderate of you, TN.
  5. Open Critic is posting countdown timers for review embargoes. So far they've got Halo 5 and AC: Syndicate, both of which are letting reviews be published a day early. Interesting.
  6. I thought the "it's true" part was just referring the Jedi, not the actual Rebellion.
  7. I added the Three Body Problem to my Goodreads list.
  8. I'm going so nuts waiting for this to drop tomorrow.
  9. Legendary Marks are used to purchase legendary equipment from vendors, as well as infusing Year Two legendary weapons and armor. There is a wallet cap of 200 on Legendary Marks, so if you get close to that you need to spend some. The fancy purple gun with pants stats that's banging on about Ascending is probably a Year One legendary gun. Base game guns maxed out at what I believe now would be 150 attack (TTK changed attack ratings), and then by HoW the max was 170, so ascending lets you bring Year One stuff up to 170. It's still pants compared to Year Two equipment, so I wouldn't bother. With Year Two equipment rather than ascending you can infuse the equipment with another piece of equipment of the same type (primary weapon, chest armor, etc) that has a higher light rating. Infusing will increase the infused equipment's light level by 80% of the difference in light level with the higher rated equipment, while consuming the higher rated equipment. Infusing only works if both pieces of equipment are Year Two. Arc damage (blue) is electric damage, solar damage (red/orange) is fire damage, void damage (purple) is space magic damage. Some enemies have shields, and the shields have an elemental type. So an arc shield is weak to arc damage, etc. Each player subclass also has an element, which you can tell by the color. So for instance your Voidwalker subclass that you love is a void subclass (obviously), meaning your super, grenades, and melee all do void damage.
  10. Yeah, nothing wrong with a good homage.
  11. Guys, I think Sleeper Simulant may be OP. And this is with it still at 290 light.
  12. Well I think the reason it's not fully self-driving is that it's in beta. Like, it /is/ self-driving, but since its in beta they put the restrictions on it. That and the fact that the law isn't prepared for self-driving cars yet. But yeah, my family took a 34-hour (round trip) car trip this summer, and a self-driving car would have been extremely nice.
  13. I'm pretty much just waiting to see what if any the differences are between the PS4 and Xbone versions of the game are, in terms of performance, etc. Luckily since there pretty much aren't preorder bonuses I don't feel like I'm missing out by waiting.
  14. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/10/15/us-tesla-autopilot-idUSKCN0S82SW20151015?utm_source=twitter Tesla is updating a bunch of its cars manufactured over the last year to enable "auto-steering". You're still required to keep your hands on the wheel though, and the car gets mad at you if you don't.
  15. It's not really something most people do for real, I think, it's more like when you're sitting around with family at holidays or whatever it's kind of fun to try to work out "Okay, great grandma X was Irish, and great grandpa Y was German..." and figure out the percentages. For obvious reasons we're a lot more mixed than you.
  16. Yeah, to me that's actually more embarrassing: guy claimed to be an Uncharted veteran, but didn't realize it was U2 and not U4.
  17. Wow, that's amazing. The only thing I've ever been to vg247 for before was finding out where Xur is on Fridays.
  18. We get 400 silver for free. Blue emotes cost 200 and purple ones cost 500.
  19. Girl livestreams herself driving drunk, viewers call cops, girl gets a DUI. I love it when people's own idiocy gets them caught like that.
  20. Shit, yeah, nightstalker. Had warlocks on the brain.
  21. My defender titan was my favorite until TTK came out, now Voidwalker hunter is where it's at.
  22. I'll have to pull that up on my TV when I get home.
