If you're going to read Brian's then release order is definitely the way I'd do it. I read all of Frank's and then like 1.5 of Brian's.

I wish people would stop losing their shoot over "downgrades". This has been happening as long as I've been following gaming news, so at least 15+ years. It goes like this: devs release a game trailer a couple years before it will actually release showing what they plan for the game to look like, then later in development they realize it's unrealistic for whatever reason (most likely that it's not worth the additional cost to bring the whole game up to that standard when

Yeah, in the fee circumstances (listed above) that I would watch a let's play it's nearly always the GB quick look.

The statement I saw from CDPR said they didn't actually reduce the assets, it's just that the old videos has a sharpening filter on the textures that people find uncomfortable to look at in long stretches.

I agree with what appears to be the general consensus: I don't see the appeal. The only time watching a let's play makes sense to me is if you're trying to decide whether to get the game or not, and want to see some actual gameplay. The other thing is like dean said, when I'm trying to figure out how to do something specific, but even then 9 times out of 10 I'd prefer a text walkthrough/explanation.

I think Metroidvania is just like if shooters were called Doomensteins: no specific part of the title refers to any specific part of the formula, it's just that those are the foundational games upon which the genre is built.

I've actually been feeling like that for the last few episodes, like nothing's been happening. Part of that though is probably that this is the first season I've been watching while it was airing so I can't binge it. -
Yeah, that only applies to people who buy a prebuilt computer, and it's probably a complete non-issue for those people. Also, if I'm reading that correctly, even then it would only create an issue for people who want to compile their own OS, it will still let you boot other OS's that have a security certificate.

PC manufacturers adding all their bloatware is bad enough, now MS does it too? The first thing I've always done with a new laptop is a wipe and fresh windows install.

From what I understood most missions are the brother (~75%), a few are the sister (~25%), and you can play as either in the open world. Basically how Arkham City worked with Batman/Catwoman. This Eurogamer article has the stuff about most of the missions being Jacob. I can't remember where I saw the percentages.

Yeah, it's not that there are more wrecks, it's that there are apparently SO MANY. Although I guess LA has millions and millions of people, so it's really not all that many now that I think about it...
