  1. But if I can say "oh, this is going to happen, and this is going to happen, and this is going to happen" with confidence, then it makes the story significantly less engaging. With a story like that the writers have to be really good at creating other forms of tension for it to hold the audience's attention. Slightly off topic, but my wife's best friend has this magical ability to predict every detail of the plot of every movie based off the first 2 minutes. It's scary.
  2. Too bad we don't hate women, then we might really have taken off.
  3. My wife and brother-in-law and I watched it over Christmas too. Entertaining, but weird as shit.
  4. That doesn't sound like almost a dealbreaker, that sounds like actually a dealbreaker.
  5. I got P4G today!

Awe, I had written out 50 of them but I got cut off. Seriously. I totally did. I didn't just stall on Uncharted.

Sadly, except for the touch-screen bits I thought the combat from Golden Abyss was easily the best of any Uncharted game. The game as a whole though was really terribly paced.

  6. lmao! I should play Long Live the Queen some more...
  7. Never fails, the bank always calls to make sure you aren't scamming me.
  8. Yeah, exactly, obviously there were lots of sitcoms before (I Love Lucy and Happy Days being two super obvious ones), but it was such a defining show that it impacted everything made after.
  9. Seinfeld kind of is the proto-sitcom, in that it's the foundation for basically everything that came after.
  10. Like I always tell my wife: "Say what you mean!"
  11. You said there's no such thing, but there is such a thing, is my point.
  12. "Laugh track" just means recorded laughter, whether canned or from a live audience. Canned laughter is a thing, though it's not used much anymore. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laugh_track
  13. Empire at War was awesome in my college apartment, when my friends and I would play LAN games all the time.
  14. I have never watched it and have no desire to, I was just responding to the general laugh track comment.
  15. Even those are 1.5-2x as expensive as the first-party one would be if they would just manufacture some more of the damn thing.
  16. Yeah, you can get the Gamecube adapter, but only for 3x the MSRP.
  17. I'm kind of over Zombies. I watched the GB Quick Look the other day, and it seemed like it's a solid game, but nothing that made me feel motivated to actually get it.
  18. A show can be both stupid and fun to watch.
  19. I kind of blame Nintendo, actually, for the way they do their hardware. There's never enough of it, which encourages scalpers.
  20. I don't know what you mean... (This is not a coy "I don't know what you mean," I mean I actually don't understand what you're saying.)
  21. I use wifi at home because 1) if you're actually connected to a network it's less battery draining than mobile, and 2) I don't have to worry about a usage cap.
