  1. Wii U does play Wii games, but you have to have a Wiimote. *Edit* - Or a Wii classic controller if the game supports those, but it definitely has to be a Wii controller, not a Wii U one.
  2. I tried to go back to Kotaku, but there was way too much random crap and not enough actual games information.
  3. The Interview. It was way weirder than I was expecting, but really funny. My wife liked it too, and she totally did not expect to.
  4. Yeah, generally speaking it is, that doesn't mean no console games ever have glitches.
  5. With this easy mode, can you switch to it in the middle of the game, or are you stuck with your choice from the beginning?
  6. I am definitely pro silent Link. Just because you can do something from a technical perspective doesn't mean you should, and I think it would lose something if Link spoke. Other NPCs sure.
  7. Episode 2 spoilers: Keeping the quality right up there, fantastic. The RPS review said it was too tense all the time, that it needed to calm down, but I felt like it had a good rhythm to it.
  8. Well, that sure is a thing.
  9. Okay, I figured out a workaround. Yay! I don't think anyone else here has the Xbone version, but just in case: Copy your end of Ep1 save to a new save slot (I copied mine from slot 1 to slot 2). If you already started Ep2 and it overwrote your Ep1 save you can go to Ep1 and "rewind" to replay just the last section. Make sure the new slot (the copy) is the active slot. Select "Continue Episode 1" from the Play menu. Finish the episode again. Once you've done that it should show you your choices, and those choices should carry over into Episode 2.
  10. I have the Xbone glitch where it isn't carrying over the choices into Episode 2. Telltale is "investigating". I'm so pissed...
  11. Oh man, that brings back memories of watching Cartoon Network late at night while playing video games...
  12. I wanted to like P3P so bad, but just couldn't get into it because of the dungeons. From asking around the webternet, it seems that P4G improved that aspect immensely over P3P. Is there a decent chance that I'd like P4G even though I couldn't get into P3P?
  13. Chocolate cream pie is the best kind of pie. Is that a graham cracker crust?
  14. Yeah, I tried Vanquish but decided I didn't like it about 15 minutes in. Picked up W101 because it was 600 coins on Club Nintendo in their going away bash, and I happened to have exactly 600 coins.
  15. @Dean: I think you're right that it only applies to nations, but private entities derive their property rights from nations, so without a nation (or international treaty) to back up their claim they can't legally own anything. So sure they could go set up a base on whatever and start mining it without any legal changes from the way things stand now, but if another company wanted to do the same thing they can't say "no, those are my minerals" unless there's a legal framework within which to assert their ownership. That's why the FAA thing is interesting, because it means the US would be recognizing an exclusive right in the company that got the license, and so the US legal system would be available to adjudicate violations of that exclusive license.
  16. So the FAA has issued a policy statement that essentially interprets its mandate as including licensing US companies' moon landings. http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/02/03/us-usa-moon-business-idUSKBN0L715F20150203?utm_source=twitter To me the most interesting thing is that it kind of jury-rigs an ability of private companies to claim territory on the moon. Essentially, while they wouldn't technically "own" the territory, they would be granted an exclusive license to operate in certain places, resulting in de facto ownership if not actual legal ownership. Something tells me that here in the next few decades that 1967 UN space treaty is going to get some pretty major modifications, as we move out of the realm of this stuff being theoretical possibility and into practical reality.
  17. I'm still getting a "down for maintenance" page.
  18. Is it YouTube's policies? I thought it was the DMCA that obligated them to comply with takedown notices and put the burden on the uploader to challenge it in court.
  19. Is the site back up? Is been down for me all morning.
  20. A really good point he makes is that people are focusing almost entirely on how this affects LPers (ourselves and myself included in this discussion), but the program actually prevents reviewers from showing gameplay as well. Which is just ridiculous. There's at least some room for argument over whether LPs are actually fair use or not, but reviews certainly are and Nintendo unquestionably has no legal right or authority to block those.
  21. I wouldn't like that method for anything longer than FTL. I'd prefer it not to delete the save when you load, just because the power might go out or something. What I'd prefer is that it just delete your saves when you die/get spotted/whatever, so if you fail you still can't load them up.
  22. Excellent. If you like any of the Telltale games then I can't recommend this enough.
