  1. Console gaming is DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMED!
  2. Telltale's Game of Thrones is 22% off on Xbone, and I can't decide whether to buy it now or wait, since I'm only barely into season 3 of the show.

Well I'm definitely not going to play it until I've caught up, I just don't want to regret missing the sale.

    3. Mr. GOH!

      Mr. GOH!

When is the game set? I'm just waiting for the next couple episodes to drop and I will definitely buy it, because I'm a slave to GoT.

It starts at the end of the 3rd season, has some stuff before the 4th season, and then runs concurrently with the 4th season.

I ended up buying it when I realized I had $63 in XBL credit for some reason.

  3. Happy birthday, staySICK!

  4. What system are you on? On PS4 you just hit and it pops up a comparison with what's already equipped.
  5. I tend to not play many handheld games at all. I have 1 Vita game in my list and that is it, though I did do quite a bit of PS4 remote play on Vita from my parents' house.
  6. Wait, I thought Agent Carter was going to be direct-to-Netflix?
  7. I'm making due with Wiimotes until the adapter gets back in stock, since I already have 4 GC controllers and don't need any more.
  8. An obvious solution to the helmet problem is to make them an add on like the legs and arms, so the helmet always matches the armor. I ended up turning off helmets too, but I was reluctant because for some reason that's something I really have trouble suspending my disbelief about.
  9. My only complaint is that nearly all the helmets look stupid. I did encounter a few glitches, but considering how big the game is they weren't bad
  10. Just beat Dragon Age: Inquisition. 121.5 hours, blowing away my previous single-playthrough game record of 86.2 hours on Kingdoms of Amalur. Really great game, quite possibly my favorite RPG of all time. I don't get the hate for the ending though.
  11. Oops, accidentally left MGS: GZ off my backlog, so I actually ended with 9 games.
  12. Metal, why is your copy of Lord of the Rings in some kind of moonspeak? Are you from the moon?
  13. Alright, because I'm a nerd for data, and especially charts, I like to keep track of my gaming throughout the year, so here it is. Chartsplosion! I beat a total of 22 games this year (which is actually kinda low for me, last year it was 35...). I was hoping that Dragon Age: Inquisition would make the list, but alas I did not finish it before the new year. I count a game as complete if I finish the campaign, or, for non-"finishable" games (Civ, Minecraft, etc), I play it enough that I consider it sufficiently played to fairly call completed. I only count games I've never finished before, with the exception of remakes, which I do count. For the first time in recent memory my console game time exceeded my PC game time, though PC was still tied with PS4 for number of games beat. PS4 also wins highest average hours per game at 20, which would have jumped to 31 if I had managed to complete Dragon Age in time. My highest number of games completed in one month was March, with 6. Interestingly the release date of games I beat spiked in March and August, rather than November like one might expect. A total of 15 games were on my backlog this year. These are stats just for the games I removed from the backlog: I started with 3 on 1/1/14, and did pretty well until November, where it skyrocketed and I'm finishing up with 8. The blue is actual backlog, the red is a trendline. A game goes on the backlog if: I'm not in the middle of another game when I get it and I don't start it immediately, I am in the middle of another game when I get it and it's not the next game I play after finishing that first game, or I stop in the middle of it. A game comes off the backlog if: I complete it, or I decide I don't intend to ever finish it. What have y'all be playing this year?
  14. I would agree with you, but I haven't come anywhere close to the limit yet on any of the three systems I have the service for, so apparently it's not that big an issue.
  15. Using Google Keyboard with them added it won't suggest them if I swipe, but if I actually type them it won't correct to something else.
  16. Also, it's possible to dislike a feature of something while still preferring it overall for other reasons.
  17. @FDS: You're the only one trying to start a platform war, I didn't say it was easier than PC, I just said it wasn't cumbersome. Something doesn't have to be literally the simplest thing in the world just to not be cumbersome.
  18. Settings > Application Save Data Management > Copy to USB. You have a weird definition of "cumbersome".
  19. Yes, but I'm talking about if there's a specific point you want to be able to go back to, for instance to try a different path, that might be hours earlier. I keep multiple saves myself, but I have in the past accidentally overwritten one I didn't want to.
  20. ^ Yep. Just did it with Inquisition in fact, so I don't accidentally overwrite a save I may want to go back to.
  21. Not a trope so much as something I just thought of, but games (especially RPGs) need a way to mark a save as protected so you can't accidentally overwrite it.
