  1. But we've been burned so many times before...
  2. Yes, but I don't care to. If he came back under another name that's fine, he hasn't caused any trouble and we'll leave him be. Plus I don't think it's very likely that he did.
  3. Yeah, unless he's secretly one of the new members we've gotten since then.
  4. That headline is awful. It says "Congress Passes Bill...", but then the body makes it clear the bill hasn't actually passed yet. Not to mention the part about giving police unlimited access to the information is iffy at best. Having read it, I don't like it either, but at least be accurate in your damn coverage of it.
  5. But it's perfectly fair to say "I think this thing you're making is bad, and that you should choose not to make it" as long as you don't actually try to prevent them from doing so. To suggest otherwise is completely ridiculous.
  6. It's not? Literally everything I've seen about this agrees it's bad (other than the people doing it, but the same thing could be said back when Jack Thompson was doing it). Maybe we're just hearing from different people because I've seen a bunch of outlets and personalities who were vehemently anti-Thompson back in the day making excuses for the recall. Then again, I'm drifting into Kotaku and Polygon territory now and those sites have been shit for years. I don't agree with the petition or the results, but I don't think it's as bad as what Jack Thompson was doing. Jacky boy was trying to get the government to forcibly censor all games in the country, which is way more draconian and sweeping in scope than merely trying to convince retailers not to sell them.
  7. Target is absolutely within their right not to stock it, just as I am absolutely within my right to say it's a shitty decision that makes them shitty people. Legal authority to do a thing is not a defense from criticism for doing it.

  9. Well at the time $40 was the lowest they'd ever been, so...
  10. I can promise you you're safe to google BBC, the first non-British Broadcasting Corp result is halfway down the second page of google results (who ever even goes to the second page?), and is the Baptist Bible College. Lower on the same page is an Urban Dictionary definition that finally informed me what you were concerned about, but that's the most risque thing I saw.
  11. What now? Are you thinking of BBW? Do not google BBW at work.
  12. Bah! Right after I bought them for $40...
  13. I just can't ever keep track of with British publications are real news sources and which are tabloids. I'm fairly confident I can trust the BBC, but beyond that...
  14. I really don't understand how giant companies that presumably do market research can make such huge, blindingly obvious mistakes. "Conviction was generally not very well received, perhaps we should lower our expectations for the sales of the sequel, despite the fact that we're trying to fix the problems people had with it."
  15. Oh wow, I didn't actually look at the release date, so I was thinking that was a whole year, not just 3 months. Yeah, sounds EXACTLY like Tomb Raider.
  16. I thought the level/encounter design in the demo looked way better than past Uncharted games. I hope the whole game is like that.
  17. Did it not sell well? I thought it launched slow but then picked up once people realized it was good, like the TR reboot. *Edit* - Apparently as of November 13, 2013 it had sold 2 million copies, but Ubisoft had banked on 5 million. Sounds just like the TR reboot...
  18. Coop was the best part of the game. I liked Conviction singleplayer at release, but when I played it again prior to Blacklist I didn't like it nearly as much. Blacklist was much much better.
  19. I had completely forgotten about how awesome that was in Conviction...
  20. The sale page isn't showing the games that are actually on sale for me, but when I do manually go to one of them it gives the right price up through the screen you're on.
  21. Oh fuck you. I agreed it wasn't going likely to happen, I've just explained why I want it. Now you're just being an asshole.
