  1. If that's the case I hope a BD quality version "leaks".
  2. Yeah, PSU's can have problems with power distribution even if they're well under rated capacity.
  3. Holy poop! Thanks FredEffinChopin! I dared not even dream!
  4. Sounds like PSU not getting enough power to the GFX card. Either that or something overheating.
  5. Right, a US subsidiary of a Japanese company.
  6. Sony Pictures is the company that was attacked. It's a US company.
  7. I can't blame them for their decision, but it's a bad outcome as far as the big picture is concerned. If you give in to this kind of thing it just encourages it, and that's not even touching on all the freedom of expression issues.
  8. I would agree with you if Sony had told the government it was happening and asked for help, but my point was that Sony kept it secret for a long time. It's hard for the government to try to respond when the people under attack don't tell you about it. As far as the other stuff goes: first amendment. Once the information is released publicly they're under no obligation not to look at and report on it (assuming they're not the ones who hacked it in the first place). Sony is under an obligation to protect the information, the New York Times is not. *Edit* - There are exceptions to that (classified information for one), but that's a good enough explanation for this situation.
  9. NPR. I thought it seemed unlikely too, but their explanation was that they're always preparing for a potential war with SK, and they know that shutting down SK's electronic capabilities would be absolutely essential in that war.
  10. Yeah, it was probably North Korea. I think saying "we" (as in the US) lost a cyber warfare battle is overstating it: Sony lost the battle. It didn't help that they didn't say anything about it for a long time. That said, North Korea has one of the best cyber warfare divisions in the world, so it's entirely possible that we would lose.
  11. See, I thought the gang warfare ruined the game. I hated being on one side of the map trying to do something, and then getting a notification that my territory was under attack.
  12. An adventure game developed by the company that made Remember Me, this time seemingly focused primarily on the time-rewindy puzzle solving. Sounds great! That was always the most interesting part of Remember Me to me.
  13. VC had far and away the best personality of any of them.
  14. Wow, I don't think I've ever seen anyone be so wrong as you are in that comment right there... Well, slight exaggeration, I can see an argument for III.
  15. It looks like it's going to be (probably passable at best) cover shooting mixed with a large helping of QTEs. I don't see how that sounds even remotely appealing.
  16. Glory hallelujah amen!
  17. I knew that there were some people who wanted to, but until this moment was not aware it was considered a real possibility.
  18. @TN's original comment: The Target/K-Mart thing is kind of in a middle ground for me; I find it distasteful, but it's obviously not as bad as if they were trying to get it actually banned by the government. If it were any random product I would agree with you, but the fact that it's a creative work makes it more troubling to me. That said I don't feel all that strongly about it. It's more of a "huh, that's dumb of them" type reaction.
  19. Assassin's Creed Unity is on Amazon for $30 today only.
  20. I go home for lunch, but that doesn't really solve the "making the same thing" problem.
  21. Don't bother arguing with him, he's just being his difficult self.
  22. Dragon Age Inquisition is on sale on all consoles for $40 at Walmart's website. http://www.walmart.com/search/?query=dragon%20age%20inquisition
