I've been trying to think, and I can't decide who would be good in that role. The only one I can come up with is Bill Paxton, but even he doesn't seem very good for it.

I grasp it fine. It's perfectly straightforward: it is censored in various regions, in each of those regions they choose a picture that they felt was thematically appropriate to the region, in the Europe region that picture is the EU flash, that in no way implies the EU government was involved in the censorship but just represents the region.
-
I, for one, look forward to the coming nuclear apocalypse.
-
The symbol of Europe is used to show that it's censored in Europe. Different symbols are used in other territories (such as the koala in Australia).
-
Yeah, I can't see Hugh Jackman being a good Joel. In fact I think that would be a pretty terrible casting decision.
-
It's set a year after Arkham City. I noticed the same thing about the will.
-
In Australia they don't have the EU flag, they have a crying koala. I don't know what the image is in the other countries.
-
It does look good, except the waterfall toward the beginning is almost laughably bad compared to the rest of the environments.
-
It has an enormous deadzone, that makes quick, small, precise movements extremely difficult. You may be used to it, but it is objectively inferior to the 360 controller for shooters, in the same way (though not to the same extent) that both are objectively inferior to a kb/m. That's why they fixed it for the DS4. *Edit* - Calling them barely playable is an exaggeration though.
-
Because it's a symbol of the EU, which is the region in which it's censored. If it were censored in the US and they'd put a US flag behind a picture of a crying buffalo or something I wouldn't assume they were saying the government did it.

I think Assassin's Creed but in the modern world is probably a better analogy. There's a ton of gameplay videos on the previous page.

And a Youtube version of the leaked trailer: @Strangelove: It's about a hacker turned vigilante/revenge machine.

Unless it's bigger than normal, that's just the DS3 having a huge deadzone. Any shooter on the PS3 is barely playable because of it, at least without a 360-controller adapter.

What's the deal with the black side bars that just cut off mid-sentence?

March 5, 2014, GMT -6, was running fine this morning until about 10:00 AM. Everything else same as above.

Something that hasn't been brought up yet: the layoffs at Eidos Montreal. 27 people after the launch of Thief. It's really sad. Thief certainly isn't the greatest game ever made, but it's a solid game that I'm enjoying my time with enough to spend most of it so far exploring and doing side activities rather than actually advancing the story. For the that's the mark of a good game: that I enjoy my time with it enough that I just want to play, without caring if I have a story-driven reason to keep going.

TLoU was fantastic, but the tone was so different from Uncharted that I'm nervous about their ability to maintain the Uncharted feel without her.
-
Hmm, now I'm less interested in Uncharted 4.

I got the gist of most of it, but there was one sentence that was talking about Congress where I missed enough that I didn't get that sentence's meaning.

The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 2. Love it.

I could read most of their 600 wpm sample, but missed a few words here and there.
