  1. South Park finally really hooked me. I've been enjoying it the whole time, but now it's got me to that point where whenever I'm not playing it I want to be. At my parents' house after having dinner with them and wondering how soon I can convince my wife to go back home...
  2. That sounds a hell of a lot smaller than most story /DLCs/ I've played. And I'm usually reluctant to pay $15 for those.
  3. I don't know if it's because I'm playing the episodes the day they come out, but it hasn't been showing me a recap of the decisions. Makes me sad. *Edit* - About the actual episode:
  4. Gone are the days when you could drop-kick a Nintendo product down three flights of concrete stairs and have it still work find afterward.
  5. I hold everything down about at my lap (unless I'm trying to read small things on my phone), so for me the best comparison is the Vita at 220 ppi, nearly 40% higher than the Wii U pad's. I don't have a 3DS. I do agree the contrast/saturation is a bigger problem, but the resolution is terrible as well. Basically it's just a shitty-ass screen all around.
  6. I thought it was only retail games that got increased, not PSN.
  7. The DPI on the Wii U pad is awful. The fact that you hold it close makes it MORE important to be high resolution, cause you can see all the pixels. When I hold the pad it takes up approximately the same amount of my vision as my TV, but has less than half the horizontal resolution, and everything looks really pixelated.
  8. Just finished reading the links. Good stuff. Literally lol'd at "the Alliance military will shoot first and ask questions never when they come across your ship." Sounds just like them Alliance wang ba dan.
  9. I'm so excited for this game too. Though the fact that it's online makes me somewhat wary.
  10. I love the name, but the game itself doesn't really appeal to me for some reason.
  11. I haven't noticed any pop culture references that seem like they're supposed to be current. The reviews I read also mentioned that, commenting that it was good that they didn't try to be super pop-culture-y so its jokes won't get dated.
  12. I haven't watched the show in probably 7 years or so, but I still am getting most of the references (I think, I guess it's possible I'm missing them by not even realizing they're references, but I'm getting enough that it seems like it could easily be most of them). Has the show become super self-referential?
  13. Been playing South Park: The Stick of Truth. It's weird, I'm really enjoying it while playing, but when I'm not playing I don't really have much desire to start playing. It's like the opposite of the Sims.
  14. I can't believe we didn't have a thread for this yet. I so so SO want this game to be good, but the Alien series does not have a good track record, so I'm scared.
  15. Well apparently part of Xbone's graphics problem is the amount of GPU time reserved for the OS and Kinect. From a Digital Foundry interview about Titanfall: So not only is Kinect a lame baby toy that you don't need, that makes the box $100 cheaper, but it's actually negatively impacting the core games that people actually want to play. Maybe now that Mattrick is gone MS can start backing off Kinect, since my understanding is it was really his baby.
  16. Loves him so much he could just eat him up.
  17. According to what I've read it was actually already the law that they weren't supposed to license businesses to sell cars unless the business was a dealer, but the MVC hadn't actually adopted the regulations to enforce that law. They've been discussing doing so for some time, but Tesla has opposed it, which is why Tesla is brought up specifically. All that happened was an administrative agency adopted regulations to enforce the thing that was already the law passed by the legislature, but news sites are making it some thing against electric vehicles for clickbait.
  18. Looks to me like in New Jersey in order to be licensed to sell cars you have to be a registered car dealer, and Tesla was trying to sell the cars directly without going through dealers. It may not make much sense to have the law be that way, but I don't see why the state wouldn't be allowed to do it. It's just a business regulation, which is one of the functions of governments.
  19. So Amazon has refurbed Xbones for $369 without Kinect. It was tempting, until I realized there is literally not one single game that I want for it that I can't get on PS4 or PC.

Well they're sold out, thank god. Bye bye, temptation.
