I think the first half of Season 3 is the weakest overall (though Season 3 picks up in the second half). *Edit* - I don't know why they keep bringing up the movie idea. I mean, I can see how that might be easier to shoot around everyone's schedules, but I just don't feel like this show is suited to a movie format.

Okay, that was weird, when I clicked on this thread to come in here and say that I just finished watching Season 4 of Arrested Development you hadn't posted that yet. Anyway, I really liked Season 4. I think it definitely helped though that I'd heard how different it was from the main series run, so I wasn't shocked. I'd kinda like to watch the chronological version that one guy made now though.

I thought the exact same thing. The demo had me at "this is very mildly interesting" but once I got the actual game I fucking loved it.

The lack of manual saving doesn't bother me as much as the lack of backtracking. Though I do like manual saving. Not necessarily for save scumming, but just because I need to be able to quit games unexpectedly and I don't like having to replay stuff I've already done.

I obviously don't have a problem with the option, but it always seems weird to me because my brain can't stop thinking "they're in combat, they should really be wearing a helmet." Really distracting for me in ME2/3 where several of the female characters didn't have proper helmets, just face masks.

IIRC there are a couple of companion pairings you can help along in DA:O, and at at least one point in DA2 you can help one of your companions hook up with a non-companion NPC.

Goddamn, wouldn't it be great if IRL there were clearly marked quest givers, and then waypoints to tell you how to complete the quests?

Okay, and I actually agree with you about Dark Souls, but what if say the next main series entry in Star Craft was turn based all of a sudden? You think it would be unreasonable for fans of the series to complain? Because that's more like the situation Jack's talking about: games that previously did not have this as an element all of a sudden adding it.

How is it any more entitled than anything else in this thread? The entire thread is about saying "I don't like X aspect, and think they should stop it". If game devs want to make their games certain ways that's certainly their prerogative, but it's also his (or yours, or my) prerogative to say when we don't like it and would have preferred if they'd done it differently. What's wrong with lamenting that a game that we otherwise find appealing has a design aspect that makes it unplayable for us? Especially if that design decision gets added into a sequel to a game that we liked.
