  1. I've owned 4 360's, and only one redringed. And the one that did was actually an Elite. I've got a v1 360 that's still running strong. *Edit* - The one that redringed was the only one that broke. 1 I sold to my friend to get the Elite, 1 is the Elite that redringed, 1 is the Elite I got when I sent the redringed one in, and 1 is the one I got on the cheap for my wife to use (because at the time I was primarily playing on 360 so hogging it all the time). Of the 4, 3 are still working.

It's not hypocrisy from their point of view. Employers should be free to do whatever they want, so if they don't want to hire gay people then it's not the government's place to say they can't. Employment isn't the cornerstone of their philosophy, free-market is, so any government regulation is a Bad Thing ™.
  3. Even if you assume those numbers are meaningful and straightforward, it's only a 7% increase in power.

Took the quiz thing. I was mostly straight, a little bit heteroflexible.

It never even occurred to me that that's something cities would have the power to regulate. Though I guess I'm used to dealing with the legal powers of cities with populations in the tens of thousands or smaller, which for obvious reasons don't have the same political power as really large cities. Hell, the largest city in the state only has a population of about 385k.
  6. Really? Hell, I'm glad I preordered it at $50 then.
  7. It's not quite full price (at least in the US), it's $50 instead of $60. As for the PS3 bundles, I can kind of see your point, but to me personally none of those had any value at all because I wasn't interested in the games (with the exception of the Ico/SotC bundle), so this is a better value. Oh yeah, I think just about everyone can agree with that.
  8. Yeah, that. To be clear, I don't think the government should be saying you can't put either one in, but between the two the anal rape seems more objectionable than voluntary drug use.
  9. I don't know that I would call a mouse that can be mistaken for an insole "sexy".
  10. At first I thought that was an insole.
  11. August's GMG deal is 20% off, so I used that plus my $12 credit from preordering Arkham Origins, so this only cost me $4 out of pocket. I have no interest in the challenge DLC, but I definitely do in the Rapture DLC.
  12. I'm pretty sure they said they aren't adding more dungeons, but I'm too lazy to search for a source.
  13. See, I love the art design of WW. But whatever, opinions. Yeah, I've heard that too, and since now they can stream the data off the disc faster they can make the ship faster. They've also said they've sped up stuff like when you're picking up sunken treasure, it doesn't take as long for the chain to go down and come back up. Just little things to make there be less waiting. I wonder what that's going to shave off the time it takes to complete the game.
  14. Skyward Sword is more like Wind Waker than anything else, but it had its own changes to the formula too. @Jack: I enjoyed the sailing, but they have said they made it faster in the HD one because a lot of people thought it was too slow. I do agree that there's a problem with that part where you have to get all the maps.
  15. Yeah, I don't think anyone thinks that the Wii U would sell as well as the Wii under any circumstances (except maybe Nintendo). What I've meant, and I assume other people mean, about Marios and Zeldas selling systems is that those games could boost it enough to make it a success (or could have, it may be too late after this holiday), but not that they would make it the runaway money printing machine the Wii was.
  16. Oh for fuck's sake, Australia. They did grant SR4 classification (as MA15+), but apparently the "positive depiction of drug use" was Seriously? "OMG! Don't want to encourage adults to use Martian speed, now do we?" Apparently it was only a 20 minute mission where that happened, so they just removed it. In other news, apparently the alien anal probe weapon gets to stay. That one actually seems more objectionable to me. I just don't even know anymore.
  17. Interesting, I would have expected control lag or something to make it unplayable. Not necessarily because it's too complicated, but because those games require such precision.
  18. How well does that work with touch controls?
  19. I would assume the slowing adoption rate is due to the negative word of mouth (whether that's justified or not).
  20. Okay, perfectly reasonable points, so go back to making it a singleplayer RPG. Still a system seller.
  21. Just make up some bullshit about how it's experimental and they're not sure the chain system can withstand the stress or whatever, and they risk losing the use of that entire arm, so it makes sense that they wouldn't use it until it's that or die.
  22. A better way to do it would have been to have it so the characters know about it but the audience doesn't. Just have them explain that there have been upgrades and that someone will get them the full spec sheet for them to look at, and then not mention the specifics. Then when the time comes both characters know it's time to bust out the new weapon. Dramatic tension preserved and plothole avoided.
  23. I don't add anyone who I don't know who it is, and periodically I remove anyone who I don't know who it is. If I've forgotten who you are I don't figure you probably need to be on my friends list.
