Yeah, why the fuck are people so bad at lining shit like that up? Like, I get that it's hard with actual gameplay but comeon, a cutscene should be no problem whatsoever.

Saying the story doesn't flow as well as the original is a pretty heavy criticism as far as I'm concerned because I felt the first one was, plot-wise, a disjointed, directionless mess.
-
Yeah, I'm still holding out in the vain hope they'll announce a PC version to launch at or near the same time as the console versions.

As well as: These things add extra cost to the initial scope, but I highly doubt porting and translating would account for $3.4million excess (otherwise HIB would struggle severely for one). And while some projects include stretch goals, it's not a requirement. As I said; what's up with the concept that all the funding must be spent? That's not a requirement for that either. You left out part: Emphasis added. You'll also note the "and more" on the end of that. You'll also see: Again, emphasis added. They were always saying that the game would be expanded if the Kickstarter exceeded its goal. Now, whether or not it's okay that they then even exceeded what they got is an entirely separate question. Also, to me the thought that you're supposed to spend all the money developing the thing makes perfect sense. People gave you this money in order to fund the project, so if you just pocket a huge portion of it then I think people would rightly feel robbed. They didn't give the money just for the creators to have, they gave it to be used on the project. I'm also with Hottie in that Kickstarter is to kickstart the project, not the company as a whole. Just because a company got one Kickstarter successfully done doesn't mean they won't or shouldn't do another.

Not to mention that, if it's like Onlive, Gakai will have latency that makes it unplayable for anything remotely fast unless you live in a few select cities.

I thought Halo 2 suffered massively. Easily my least favorite Halo game (at least as far as the campaign goes). But that's neither here nor there.

Dean and I are both very nearly incapable of dropping an argument, no matter how small or pointless.
-
Oh right, forgot Tomb Raider. I thought it worked well in that setting too.

In a game that includes such random things as scuba diving as one of the activities I think hunting fits. And in the other games I've played that have had it (off the top of my head I can only think of AC3 and RDR) it fit thematically.

Are those character attributes I spy, a la San Andreas?

But you can't just diffuse it endlessly, because at some point the light will become too dim to see if it's spread out too much (especially during the day). From the pictures it looks brighter than what you would get if you had the same power LED diffused out over that area.
-
Well they did say on the Kickstarter that if they got more money they would expand the project.
-
I'm assuming that there is more total light being output by that bigass bar than by the tiny little indicator. Therefore more power.
-
I know with Doublefine specifically it was well known they aren't really able to stay in budget, but most game companies the general public really has no idea how well they perform behind the scenes.
-
Glad I switched to PC then. I really like that KotOR-style combat.
-
That's why I said "for the same type of light technology". Of course we can argue what the "same type" of technology is, but AFAIK an LED is an LED, and they're all more or less the same efficiency (for the same color). I could be wrong about that though.

Was the console version of DA2 that different? Because playing the PC version of DA2 was basically exactly the same as playing the console version of DA:O. IE there was an auto-attack, so if you selected a target your character would keep attacking them until they died, you could switch to different characters to issue commands if you wanted but otherwise they used the tactics you had set up, etc.
-
Was there something different about the combat? I played DA:O on 360 and DA2 on PC, so if the PC version of DA:O had some bells and whistles that the console version didn't I would have missed them.
-
@FDS: That was one of the suggested uses. Even if it's an LED like the tiny light it would still need to use more power. More light = more power (for the same type of light technology), it's just physics.
-
Not to mention that information about how developers have done for their publishers is a lot harder to come by.
-
The light bar on the DS4 can't be turned off. Part of me thinks that's lame and the light could easily get irritating in some situations, but another part thinks that the PS4 is sitting pretty if this is what people have found to complain about.
-
I think ours counts hidden posts and yours doesn't.
-
Not everything else. The combat was basically the same.

Oh my god now I want to get a sheep dog and name him Commander Shepard.
