  1. I think ours counts hidden posts and yours doesn't.
  2. Not everything else. The combat was basically the same.
  3. Oh my god now I want to get a sheep dog and name him Commander Shepard.
  4. Dragon Age 2 was a lot better with the quest markers.
  5. Booker is one of the best dog names I've ever heard.
  6. Playing on a TV screen really reinforces how much better PC games look than console games. Playing KoA on my monitor it was on the bad side of nothing special, then I moved my PC into the living room and all of a sudden "wow, this game looks great!"

I think it's because I'm used to AA and stuff when playing on my monitor, but on the TV I normally only play console games, so something running at native 1080p with post processing and whatnot looks amazing to my console-calibrated brain.

I'm mainly a PC gamer, and PC games look lovely on the big screen. Console games, however, look like shit warmed over. It's a huge and noticeable difference.

Yeah I'm on a five year old PC that's not particulalry high end and there's enough of a difference, can't imagine what i7 n GTX760s n such must make games look like.

  7. The tactics have presets at the top, so you can set their general behavior without having to worry about each specific skill.
  8. "X, Y, Z, and, per se, and"
  9. @Dean: Yep, people were obviously willing to pay money to not have to type "/sarcasm". /sarcasm @Hot Heart: Yeah, isn't "&" just "et" run together and then mangled over thousands of years?
  10. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I'm really enjoying it so far, as evidenced by my (according to Raptr) 12h 34m playsession I just ended. Obviously that includes bathroom breaks and whatnot. But I doubt more than 30 minutes or so of that was downtime.
  11. I've got my backlog down to 8 games now. That's the lowest it's been since I started keeping track.

I have like 4ish games, but it's kind of ambiguous since they are mostly long games that I may never actually get to.

  12. lol, no, I just made that up as something that an atheist monument might say.
  13. Okay, I thought you were saying something like "this is a game, not some artistic endeavor".
  14. "Let this stone forever stand as a testament to the harsh reality that we are naught but flesh, scurrying around, directionless, until the end of our short and ultimately meaningless lives."
  15. It didn't cost me anything anyway. Why not?

    LGBT

We do, but sexual orientation/gender identity isn't covered by them. They cover national origin, race, religion, gender (biological gender, though the argument that discriminating based on sexual orientation/gender identity is gender discrimination has gained some very limited success). I feel like there's a couple more things they cover that I'm forgetting.
  17. Or we just would have stopped hearing about it and in 6 months some executive would comment that "the project is no longer in active development."

Only in California (and probably a few other states). It's still not federally protected. *Edit* - Ninja'd by Jack.
  19. Is it just the Europe stuff that you didn't hear about, or are you unfamiliar with the whole PRISM/Snowden/Leaked documents thing? It's like, a pretty big deal. I'm kinda surprised somebody could just miss the whole thing. No, I know about Snowden/Prism/etc, I just hadn't heard about the spying on the European diplomats specifically.
  20. That really really sucks.
  21. Really liked it. The reviews that say it's just more of the same from the first one are spot on, but I fucking loved the first one so to me that's a good thing.
  22. Well there's a difference between collecting intelligence on what they might be doing that you don't know about and bugging their diplomatic offices. As I understand it, that's a pretty big no-no.
