  1. Honestly I think the only thing I didn't like about it was the end narration, but since it's only like 30 seconds of the movie I can overlook it.
  2. RPGs, followed closely by action/action-adventure games (or whatever you'd call stuff like Assassin's Creed).
  3. Saying "they're not terrorists" is not defending them. I haven't seen anyone defending Cerberus, just discussion of whether or not the word "terrorist" can be accurately applied to them.
  4. lmao, at first I thought you were talking about this website and I was like "what the hell?" I had never heard of the other Weather Underground.
  5. Your initial post makes it sound like terrorist organizations are some G.I. Joe villains. Cerberus uses radical and terrorist means to achieve whatever goal they have set. Can you name a single act of Cerberus' that meets that definition, though? Sure they're trying to advance human interests at the expense of other races, but that doesn't make them terrorists. I can't think of they've done that would "demoralize a civilian population" so they could "use its discontent as leverage" on anyone.
  6. Yeah, that's definitely not Black and White, it's one of the GBA ones.
  7. Yeah, I think I might have to third Pokemon. Which game is that screen from, btw?
  8. I called them a terrorist organization without really thinking about it because that's how they're described in the games and books. However, putting aside your dislike for the label generally, I would agree that it doesn't really apply to Cerberus; I can't think of anything they've done that really seems like terrorist activity.
  9. This hardly coincides with what they usually say. Male default Shepard is on all advertising and they specifically say your Shepard dying in ME2 is not canon. So yes, there certainly is a canon play-through. The only canon is the stuff that happens no matter what (like becoming a Spectre, joining Cerberus, etc), and the not-dying-in-the-suicide-mission thing. Outside of that there's no "canon" as far as game events go. I've read/heard that in numerous Bioware interviews (having trouble finding a link atm, will follow up when I do). Default Shep != canon Shep.
  10. Paragon isn't the "nice" route, and Renegade isn't the "mean" route. I think the best way to think of Paragon and Renegade is like lawful/chaotic in D&D.
  11. So I just saw Sucker Punch. Wasn't what I was expecting, but I liked it a lot.
  12. @Agamemnon: There's no such thing as a "canon" Shepard. All Shepards are equally canonical/non-canonical. Bioware has put forward a lot of effort to make sure that none of the extended universe stuff (books, comics, etc) contradicts any possible playthrough.
  13. Fallout 3 and New Vegas had this problem too, where characters would change voice actors mid-conversation.
  14. Oooooh! Good one. I almost seconded it, but then it made me think of my actual favorite antagonist: GLaDOS.
  15. Day 17 - Still can't decide Day 18 - I think I'm going to have to go with Link.
  16. Yeah, never heard of the midday rule before.
  17. Yeah, I don't think there's anything "wrong" with it, but I wouldn't share a Steam account with anyone other than members of my household just for practical reasons.
  18. Hahaha, I just noticed that our site is now Talk About Tim Rogers

    1. Mr. GOH!

      Mr. GOH!

      And spinning.

    2. TheMightyEthan

      TheMightyEthan

I noticed the spinning much more quickly.

  19. Dean, if that Homefront one is a joke I'm not sure I get it.
  20. My understanding of Steam Guard is that it just requires a more thorough verification if you try to log in on a different computer, not that it actually prevents you from logging in on different computers altogether.
