Last gaming wallpaper I had was a bunch of Halo Reach ones that cycled.

I think it's just that the two robots lend themselves more to advertisements than Chell does.

I think multiplayer is qualitatively different from singleplayer campaigns. Singleplayer campaigns have a (more or less) defined progression with an "end", whereas with multiplayer it's always completely different all the time. With singleplayer games you're playing through the story again ("replaying"), but with multiplayer you're not playing again you're playing more. That's just in general, it's not all-encompassing (a notable exception being The Sims). I think in terms of multiplayer the question would be which games have the most longevity, not which ones have you played more than 5 times.

Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST (not Reach yet, but I'm sure it will join once it's been out longer), Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Fallout 3, Star Wars: KotOR, Star Wars: KotOR II, Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mirror's Edge, Portal, Fable. I'm sure there's more that I'm not thinking of. As for the "why so many RPGs" question, I think it's like what GOH! said: RPGs have replayability, most FPSs really don't.

Yeah for most people bandwidth isn't the issue with OnLive, latency is.

Well I've beat it lots of times before, but I finally completed Mass Effect (the first one). I have now finished all playthroughs I want for import into Mass Effect 2/3. I have one playthrough of Mass Effect 2 left before I've completed that game too.

WTF does lush mean in this context? And where did it come from? My cousin who's in the air force just came back from California and was saying that too. I've never heard it before.
-
While true, if that were the case you'd expect the problem to affect all different kinds of products, but there are plenty of products on Newegg with 5 eggs, just none of them are power supplies. I'm going with what Mr. GOH! said until someone comes up with a better hypothesis.

Day 10 - I'm going to have to go with Mario Kart 64 also. Day 11 - I'm probably like 50% PC, 40% 360, 8% PS3, and 2% DS. I might be overestimating the DS.

If the employee was making something for Microsoft, why would he pirate software instead of Microsoft supplying it? That's like asking shop employees to supply their own cash registers. I can think of several reasons: out of habit; maybe he worked on it at home where he had a pirated version; maybe pirating it was easier than getting approval through the proper channels to buy it; maybe he already had a pirated copy on a disc in his laptop bag and it was easier to just install that on his work computer; maybe MS wanted them to use a different program but he liked Sound Forge better. There could be any number of reasons, those were all just off the top of my head.

In addition to the stock pictures being smaller, they also usually look better.

This. 1000x this. WTF, you COMPLETELY missed the point of what I was saying.
-
How come no power supply has a higher rating than 4 eggs?
-
Seeing as how the demo is the only way the developer provides for me to try it before I buy it... Are EA expecting me to pirate it to try before buying or something? Agreed. Saying "you shouldn't judge games based on the demo" is akin to saying "even if you didn't like the demo, you should still buy the full game just so you can confirm that you don't like it."
-
I'd be willing to bet that that's more a case of "a Microsoft employee pirated Sound Forge" than "Microsoft pirated Sound Forge."

My comment was directed Arionfrost.

I don't think there's anything wrong to judge a game based on expectations created by previous entries in the series. It's perfectly fine to be disappointed in a sequel when it is more generic/loses the individuality of its predecessor. Disclaimer: I'm not saying that's what happened with Crysis 2, since I haven't played any Crysis game for longer than necessary to benchmark, but that's the kind of complaint I keep seeing.

Doom always gave me a headache, but it didn't make me feel sick. The old Windows maze screensaver did the same thing.
-
I usually like the default FOV (though there have been some exceptions), and turning it up makes it look like I'm viewing the game through a fish-eye lens.

Anyways, I'm acting smug or superior? Besides that last post, I'm acting pretty indifferent. Your viewpoint is indifferent, the way you're expressing it is smug and superior. Your posts read like "I'm indifferent, and anyone who's not is wrong and stupid for caring."

The thing about RDR and Jack is something I hadn't considered before (which makes me feel completely retarded because it seems really obvious now), but I agree it's sad.

That's not what I wrote! You doctored that quote! <.< >.>
-
If someone were that clueless I'd expect them to be more likely to hit the power button on the PC than to hit the Windows key.
-
You get minused because of your smugly superior attitude, not necessarily the viewpoints you express.
