  1. I thought the original name for it was the Disc Launcher, but was only renamed (or unofficially renamed, I guess) to the Spinfusor in the more recent Tribes games. In the original Starsiege: Tribes some servers had it labeled Disc Launcher, others called it the Spinfusor. One was a modded name and one was the original, I'm unsure which is which though. By Tribes 2 they had settled on Spinfusor though.
  2. Me too. I don't like white DS3's. The way I tell my DS3 apart is that it has the little grippy-nubs on the sticks. And my 360 controller has a chat pad on it.
  3. But it doesn't work that way, save files are tied to Gamertags. So sure Guy A could have a save file at the end, but he wouldn't be able to play that file on Guy B's account without hacking it in some way.
  4. Chrome and Firefox. I only use Firefox though when something won't work right in Chrome, which happens less and less frequently as Chrome is updated (I don't think I've had to use FF in a couple of months now). Occasionally I'll use IE when a website makes me, but that's not very common. Also if something isn't working in Chrome or Firefox and I'm trying to figure out if it's the browser or the thing itself.
  5. I was going to say the cerebral bore, but Yante beat me to it. I would also like to add the spinfusor:
  6. I don't think anything has so stressed my fiancee's and my relationship as playing LBP coop.
  7. Woo! I'm in the top 50% on our TF2 server!

  8. The OP may only have mentioned 360 games, but the thread isn't limited to them.
  9. I think Halo 3/ODST/Reach only support 2 player split-screen. In order to get 4 players you have to have at least 2 Xboxes.
  10. You see at the beginning of your post, how it says "Call of Duty"? That's how.
  11. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O0KICS/ref=ox_ya_os_product It's a surround-sound adapter for headphones. I'd been considering it, but thought that the headphones were surround-soundy enough as it was, even though I knew they could be better. Then I stumbled across these audio demos for 3D headphone sound ( http://onemansblog.com/2007/05/13/get-your-virtual-haircut-and-other-auditory-illusions/ ) and they blew me away. I know that the surround-sound adapter won't give me positioning as awesome as those demos do, it's just that until I listened to them I hadn't realized that it could be so much better.
  12. I understand economic sims, but that game looks like it's just... driving boats...
  13. You gave the Witcher to me, Dean. I've gifted 5 games on Steam, and beside Steam I've given games as gifts on numerous occasions. Also, is there a way to check how many have been gifted to me, or do I just have to count and hope I don't forget any?
  14. ... People actually pay money for that?
  15. Case in point: Mass Effect 2 Just because a game comes out early in the year, doesn't mean you can ignore it in the runnings. I think he was just acknowledging that since it's early in the year he can't yet compare it to the games that haven't released yet.
  16. Is Giant Bomb's video useful for someone who doesn't speak or read Japanese?
  17. Do you mean to get bigger or smaller? Because in my computer the motherboard is not the determining factor in how large the tower is, the determining factors are my gfx card and my HDDs.
  18. lol, FSW is on Big Download for free, but it's $10 on Steam. Nice, Valve.
  19. That's cause without the dark and troubled past he'd just be some normal guy who doesn't care.
  20. Sounds fun to me. I can't do it until at least Monday though, since I will be at my parents' this weekend.
  21. Oh yeah, I do that too. I hate it when it doesn't give you an autosave option on exit. *save* *quit* "Are you sure you want to quit? All unsaved progress will be lost." *cancel* *save* *quit* "Are you sure you want to quit? All unsaved progress will be lost." ... I also hate it when there's no confirmation that a save has occurred. Dead Space on PC is this way. I go to the save point, select a slot, hit save, and the menu just closes without actually indicating that it saved, so then I always have to reopen the save list so I can verify that it's in there.
  22. I remember when it first came out it was a PITA to get it to work with the 360 pad. Has that gotten better since then?
  23. Here I was thinking, "Pffft, there's definitely been good pun runs since the date of this exchange... Oh wait... It never ends... IT. NEVER. ENDS." Truly an epic in the realm of punfests. Haha, good times.
  24. I will agree with calls that games should support both.
