  1. Out of curiosity, Pheer, what did you think of the Legendary coop thing from Halo 2, where if either one of you dies it resets you to the checkpoint, rather than requiring you to both die?
  2. 10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 9. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas 8. Super Mario Galaxy 7. Gears of War 6. Street Fighter 4 5. StarCraft II 4. Uncharted 2 3. Burnout Paradise 2. God of War 1. COD: Black Ops Sorry, Hot Chops, but in terms of fun San Andreas was a step backward for the series. *Edit* - Crap, Jack got in before me. Now I have to rejigger my list... *Edit2* - That was hard, I wasn't too unhappy with the list as it was.
  3. I beat the game singleplayer Legendary. Thought it was great fun. Protip: use plasma weapons on their shields. yeah I know about the plasma weapons but there is never enough ammo for it to be effective. I never had an issue with lack of plasma ammo. Well, only rarely. Yes, they buffed the shields compared to previous games, but I still don't think "plasma weapons are effective against shields, projectile weapons are effective against health" is fake-hard.
  4. Yeah, I always have everyone except my friends and party muted.
  5. I beat the game singleplayer Legendary. Thought it was great fun. Protip: use plasma weapons on their shields. *Edit* - I liked that it was harder. Halo 3 Legendary was too easy.
  6. QFMFT, and I don't even generally like multiplayer games. In addition to MNC, I would recommend, in no particular order: Limbo (My review) Risk: Factions (then play it with me) ilomilo (My review) Carcassonne *Edit* - Also Catan.
  7. Notable exception to this rule: Snipers. Assassin's should murder Snipers all goddamned day.
  8. Fake difficulty? I don't really care about multi, so I wouldn't notice imbalance there. Love Firefight though.
  9. It's working fine for me, and always was. I'm running Chrome.
  10. Exactly! What? Use the lightning bolt right before I go over the jump in Wario's Stadium? :mma:
  11. Burnout: Paradise Resident Evil 4 Fable III Mass Effect 2 (but only in "traditional RPG" ways, I still really liked the game overall) Really? I loved Reach.
  12. Chew, if you don't like seeing the New Vegas stuff I can remove your access, free of charge.
  13. So, this disc, what purpose does it serve? Is it like a frisbee?
  14. Marked off Batman: Arkham Asylum. It was pretty good, though I thought it was too linear and that the boss fights were too repetitive. Hopefully they will address both of those things in Arkham City.
  15. My most recent exception is Monday Night Combat, which I've been playing religiously. The last time I played a multiplayer game so much was the Halo: Reach Beta, and before that was the CoD4 Beta. I have this weird thing where I get into betas, fucking love them, play them constantly, but then never get back into it once the full game releases.
  16. That's not what I mean, though I can see how it could come across like that. What I mean is that I usually don't really enjoy multiplayer, so I would rather the dev/publisher use its resources on the singleplayer instead of the multiplayer. I usually do enjoy cooperative a lot though. When I say multiplayer I mean modes in which you play against other people.
  17. I agree with every word of this. I also in general hate achievements that I don't have direct control over, and often multiplayer achievements are of that nature.
  18. Yeah, that's my experience with Walmart clothes: good for the price, but not "good". Just as a general rule, obviously any particular item can be better or worse.
  19. @Jack: Never. But just because I don't notice that things are missing doesn't mean it wouldn't have been better with more resources devoted to it. @Rad: GODDAMN I HATE MULTIPLAYER ACHIEVEMENTS!
