I know, I just thought it would be nice for people to be able to see on their profile which posts got neg repped, but I would want it to be anonymous so that people didn't get into rep wars or whatever. I'm not sure how regional this is, but around here people go muddin'. And highways are referred to as "blacktops" to distinguish them from unpaved roads.

If they're raiding, won't they be pissed at you for torrenting and slowing the connection to crap? That's the point. His housemates canceled on the plans to go out so they could raid instead, so he's pissed at them, so he's going to torrent as much as possible to fuck up their raid. *Edit* - Also, my plans were originally to sit around and play videogames while my fiancee was hanging out with her friends (I too dislike large groups, especially large groups of people I don't know well), but then some of my good friends from undergrad decided to get together, so I'm doing that instead. We're not going out though, just over to one of their apartments, and there will be like 5 people there including me.

Actually, I want to hide that so that there won't be crackdowns/retaliations... I don't feel super strongly about it though, if no one else cares.

Hey, the racing game in KotOR was pretty awesome. And half of GTA is about driving cars (the other half is stealing them). How is that not appropriate?

First person cutscenes where I don't have control of the character. It's fine if the're just a few seconds long, but any longer than that and I start to get pissed. I'm looking at you Bad Company 2 and Aliens vs. Predator. Also, checkpoint/autosave immediately before any unskippable cutscene, especially when that cutscene is right before a hard part of the game. No I don't want to be forced to watch the boss rant about his plan again, I've already seen it 5 times, just let me fucking play.

Oh yeah, when I say "cheap" I'm definitely referring to the mechanics themselves, and you're right that the onus is on the developer to fix that. I do not blame players for utilizing mechanics, however stupidly designed they are, and I will do so myself at every opportunity. *Edit* - The exception being in friendly games with my actual friends. Then I will agree to extra rules (like no lighting before the jump in Mario Kart) in the interest of keeping the game more fun. The only situation I'll get mad at someone for using a "cheap" mechanic is if they previously agreed not to. But in the absence of such an agreement, any mechanic is fair game.

Most of my friends are taller than me too (I'm 6'0"). I always felt short too, until one day I suddenly realized that even though most of my friends were taller than me, most of the random guys I see around are shorter than me.

In the US the average height for adult (20+) males is 5' 9.5". For white males 20-39 it's 5' 10.5". For adult females it's 5' 4". For white females 20-39 it's 5' 5".

To me something is "cheap" if it gives a very disproportionate advantage compared to the amount of skill required to use it. So a strategy/tactic/whatever that requires little to no skill to use, but is extremely difficult or impossible to beat, is cheap.

No no, I mean the aiming on Reach felt too slow, cause it's so much slower than MNC. I didn't mean the actual speed of play.

I was playing Reach on 8, but then when I went back to it after MNC it felt WAY TOO SLOW so I cranked it up to 10. It still felt too slow.
