  1. Steam ID/Wishlist/Country (in case of regional restrictions): SteamID| Wishlist| Canada General criteria: Anything that's on my wishlist, games that can be played casually, so nothing too time consuming like... online games or dragon age/elder scroll kinda games. Not too big on racing/sports games. What are your favourite genres? Shooters, RPGS, Survival/Exploration, Hack and Slash. What are your favourite games? TF2, Path of Exile, Minecraft/Terraria, Darksiders, Kingdom Hearts, Dynasty Warriors. Are you looking for any non-Steam gifts? Not really, unless the game can't be found on the service. ie. Titanfall or something Will you take games not on your wishlist? Sure why not. Any other information you think relevant? I haven't quite got around to actually sorting my steam wishlist so the order isn't absolute or anything
  2. Been out of the Anime loop for a while now but, over the past few months got back in with Attack on Titan and Sword Art Online. Just finished watching Oreimo Season 2 which I've got mixed feelings about. The last few pages mention Kill la Kill so I guess I'll check that out next?
  3. Only way to check is at checkout I think. The coupon is automatically applied there so if it worked you'll see a -$5.00 under the order summary or under gifts and promotions.
  4. Alan Wake + American Nightmare Darksiders 1/2 + DLC Supreme Commander Titan Quest $13 bundle or $8 if you got the $5 coupon for buying a game on amazon during December. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HRCQ8OQ?tag=ablegamers-20&tag=childsplaycha-20 Technically US only but, using a fake shipping address works fine. oos
  5. Got a 2nd Gift from FLD! Thanks a bundle and Merry Xmas ya'll.
  6. Thanks FLD for Risk of Rain Super excited to die repeatedly.
  7. Dust: An Elysian Tail and Gone Home. Both were great, Gone Home took me by surprise since I went in mostly blind except for hearing positive stuff here and there. The journal stuff came off pretty sincere. Dust was what I was expecting in a good way. I was worried Fidget would be kinda annoying but, she grew on me.
  8. Steam ID/Wishlist/Country: SteamID| Wishlist| Canada General criteria: Single player games that aren't too long. Not sure I'll ever clear the backlog if I get sucked into another endless online game or start another Dragon Age. What are your favourite genres? Shooters, RPGS, Survival/Exploration, Hack and Slash. What are your favourite games? TF2, Path of Exile, Mass Effect, Don't Starve, Darksiders, Kingdom Hearts. Are you looking for any non-Steam gifts? Not really, unless it's not available on steam like a greenlight game or something.

  10. I think it can get a little tricky in that the gifter has to have iOS or at least just an iTunes account. The alternative is you could request an iTunes gift card. I'm okay with that if everyone else is. Another caveat is that you can only gift to people whose account is based in the same country as your own.

http://store.steampowered.com/reviews/ Steam recommendations have basically been upgraded to reviews.
  12. Started playing it on 1999 mode... awful idea, I'm surprised anyone could stand it in the base game. From what I've seen so far there are some nice references to bioshock 1 and infinite but, nothing has really grabbed me yet.
  13. http://steamcommunity.com/id/trashbot There's an automated trade bot for steam coupons if any of you are looking for one in particular or want to give away useless coupons
  14. Umm... so you can now gift individual steam keys using the new key redemption stuff? http://support.humblebundle.com/customer/portal/articles/1356336-gifting-steam-keys Am I missing something or isn't this... the exact opposite of what they were trying to do?
  15. I'm guessing that traditional PC input is a VGA port? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/cc/VGA_port.jpg From my understanding the only advantage is that... pcs only use it. It can't handle hd and it also doesn't send any audio so you're probably better off going hdmi if your PC supports it.
  16. So the game is leaving open beta today (at 1:00pm EST) and will also be released on Steam. Big list o patch notes here. In short they're adding guilds, pvp tournaments and new 4 month leagues (think of these as a d2 ladder reset), a new class and balance changes. I can't recommend this game enough, it's one of the few games alongside tf2 that I can see myself coming back to whenever attacking the backlog gets a bit tiring. The game has tons of http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree'>depth and potential for theory crafting. The devs are quite active on their forums and the subreddit. Their policy on micro-transactions also gives me no qualms with supporting them since it's all cosmetic stuff except for stash tabs and character slots (default stash has 4 tabs and the default character limit is 24) ZiggyD has quite a few beginner oriented guides on his channel https://www.youtube.com/user/ZiggyDStarcraft/videos And here's Kripparrian's beginner video
  17. Stalker Complete did something to the ragdolls in this game... http://i.imgur.com/ISHSd47.gif

Maybe it's because you installed it partway through your game instead of from the start?

Newp, it crashed when I tried to use old saves so I restarted it all

  18. Currently running the Zone Reclamation Project mod and the Shaders max mod. Didn't plan on getting the Stalker Complete because I heard some people thought it changed too much. Will probably give it a go next time I decide to play.
  19. Stalker. Really enjoyed the first hour or so but the game seems to be getting increasingly buggy. Just finished a stealth mission in a military base. Enemy soldiers seem to be able to detect you no matter how far away the line of site is. I've had the alarm go off repeatedly while I'm crouched in a small windowless room. The alarm occasionally stayed on when reloading quicksaves. I eventually gave up and shot my way through, which turned out to be fairly easy cause about 7 soldiers got stuck on a door. After finally finishing that mission I noticed a quest I already completed was still active for some reason. One of the important npcs in the game was walking back into the warehouse full of soldiers I originally saved him from resulting in "Task Failed X has died" before I could get back to him. So I'll probably have to redo those 2~3 hours.
  20. Brutal Legend, Alan Wake + American Nightmare, Ittle Dew, Rogue Legacy and Krater. Actually starting to make the tiniest dent in ye olde backlog. Brutal Legend was solid. The combat felt a bit stiff especially when trying to block at all, eventually boiled down to me rushing the enemy and playing facemelter as fast as I could. In terms of the strategy aspect it felt cool being able to jump in and help with the combat then hop out and manage unit production/building. Actually controlling units was kinda annoying and even doing something like attack moving wasn't great since units seemed to ignore everything else if you targeted a large structure. Not a big metal fan but, I enjoyed the world. Ending felt a bit too quick and wrapped up a bit too neatly. Alan Wake... Story and the Narration were great and kept me hooked until the end. Combat was kinda stale by the end, not a whole lot of options on how to fight or variety in who you're fighitng. That said micromanaging battery life, the enemy's position/life while dodging around was fun for the most part. The atmospher/tension of the game had way more of an effect on me than any of the "jump scares" did. I'm now disappointed there won't be a Alan Wake 2 in the near future. American Nightmare fixed a lot of my complaints about the base game. Variety of weapon/enemy types, the semi-openness was a nice change and finding collectables became less of a "stumbling through the dark looking for small white squares". That "story element" had me burned by the 2nd time it happened. Ittle Dew was an alright zelda-ish puzzle game. It definitely had a sense of humour and charm that rubbed me the right way and some of the puzzles felt pretty rewarding when figuring them out. Rogue Legacy was good and difficult... It's kinda self explanatory. Doubt I'll bother with New Game Plus Played krater to try and scratch an ARPG itch but it didn't really do the job. The control scheme makes it feel much more like an rts since you're controlling 3 units. The progression isn't great since no new skills are unlocked and level ups do nothing but, increase the number slots for permanently equipped stat boosts/skill modifiers. Definitely different and the post apocalyptic world is actually colourful and interesting. Hopefully a sequel adds more depth in the right places.
  21. I only play regularly on a few servers but, I haven't really noticed a trend one way or the other.
