  1. Saints Row 3 and Driver San Francisco SR3 was a blast, dialogue was great. Ended up playing all of the side missions though they definitely dragged on towards the end, especially the Genki Bowl stuff since you had to unlock it all sequentially. Looking forward to eventually playing 4 and probably 2 before that. Driver was good, the climax wasn't amazing considering all the build up but, it was good enough. May have just been me but, by chapter 2-3 all the dares/challenges/collectables became extremely repetitive. The shift mechanic by then also became kinda stale as you were either a) not able to use it b) shifting into cars in the other lane to take out cars in yours. Ended up putting the game on hold for a few months and just got back into it focusing only on the gold/story missions.

  3. Android, there were a few crashes once in a while but, that was patched out relatively quickly. 1 big flaw I did notice was how much of a battery drain the game was, the game caused my S2 to run hot enough to feel the heat through the case.
  4. Beat Middle Manager of Justice and 10,000,000 while I was on vacation. 10,000,000 was fun, not sure if there's really any reason for me to ever go back to it now though. Middle Manager was great at first, but became a boring grind by the end( no thanks to how the difficulty ramped up)
  5. ASUS Radeon HD 7870 1.0GHZ 2GB 4.8GHZ GDDR5 CrossFireX DVI HDMI DisplayPort PCI-E DX 11 Video Card Been some what looking at replacement gfx cards lately and happened upon this. Works out to $170 with the discount, $20 MIR and a $10 giftcard I've been trying to use. It also comes with AMD's new Game Bundle thing so I get 2 games to go with it. Thoughts?
  6. Never had any luck with that method since my origin games never came with an EASetup.exe. This one has always worked for me and the 0.01% download should also meet dean's next to no download needs.
  7. All of the keys are separate in this bundle.
  8. Currently playing unepic and half minute hero. Unepic is a nice relaxing game to play with a podcast in the background. Metroidvania type game with some shameless references and amusingly translated "Unenglish". I played the original half minute hero up to around the last boss so the game is becoming kinda grind... not too fond of the new art either. I also feel like there was a balance change or something because I remember the health drain while dashing being far less of an issue in the original.
  9. Reflashed my psp today... and it's kinda crazy how easy it is nowadays. No more of that pandora battery/using specific patched firmware for specific games stuff. Even started backing up my umd's.

Yeah! I think that all started when the ps3 hack was discovered. Suddenly we can just run something from an unhacked PSP and there you have custom firmware now.

  10. As amazing as the idea is, not getting the best framerates running SSBM without me graphics card. If there's enough interest I could save the keys for a giveaway event? Otherwise I'll be sending dean Alpha protocol if he wants it and a couple of games elsewhere
  11. I haven't checked some of these keys in a while so I may... have given them away already. If any of these are popular I guess I'll do a raffle or something? Also sorry for the double post. Puzzle Agent (Steam Key) Jolly Rover (Steam Key)
  12. So... my graphics card pooped out while I was playing RAGE, it restarted and everything was kinda okay except I was getting horrible framerates in rage when I tried to run it again. Restarted my computer and tried to run RAGE again and "poof" lines appeared across the screen and the computer became unresponsive. Slowly started taking parts out to see which was the culprit and it appears to be my gfx card. It's a XFX Radeon 6870 I bought ~2 years ago. Every time I try to boot with the hdmi cable I get a black screen. So far I've tried placing it in a different PCI-E slot but, no luck. Not 100% how to troubleshoot this problem or if I should just give up and start shopping for a new gfx card. Thanks in advance.
  13. RAGE crashing every 30 seconds makes me sad :(

I deleted RAGE from my iPhone. Just seemed too bland in a time of modern shooters.

The iPhone version of RAGE is not anywhere near the same game.

I hate when that happens. There were a few games like that, which kept me from buying those titles (like this one).

  14. Beat Kingdoms of Amalur, 89 hours sigh... if you haven't heard it before do yourself a favour and skip sidequests, some of them are rather grindy and if you end up doing 90% of them like I did you'll end up being overleveled for the story content which can turn the story quests into a chore as well. Overall I quite enjoyed the game. I really loved the Fae sections of the game as they felt rather unique/developed. I guess you could write them off as basically elves/dryads mashed together but, their lore/story felt rather engaging... especially compared to the other races. The Teeth of Narroes DLC was rather enjoyable as well and the content seemed to scale with your level making it actually kind of a challenge... it did overlevel me though so I would suggest avoiding it until later in the game. Dead Kel was pretty boring, though only real highlights being Captain Brattigan and the house you can get from it. Ending was pretty anti-climatic, predictable and beating the boss wasn't very satisfying. Glad to finally wrap it up though and hopefully get some actual work done on the backlog.
  15. I've got a couple of ChronoBlade beta keys if anyone wants them. Boiled down it's essentially a F2P Brawler with Diablo styled loot/skills etc. Facebook only btw. Video
  16. I think I'm going to go with this one http://www.amazon.ca/ASUS-VivoBook-S550CA-DS31T-CA-Notebook-Processor/dp/B00BZSCE82/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1370562845&sr=1-3&keywords=VivoBook 15.6" touch screen and it's only $60 higher than my original budget. He's got a HDTV near his computer desk if he's watching movies in that room otherwise the screen should be decent for viewing on its own. He likely won't need any extra portability since it'll just be for vacations/around the house.
  17. Are any of you familiar with buying laptops? Looking to buy one for my dad to replace an ageing desktop. Haven't had that much time for research but, I narrowed it down to these two: Asus Vivobook Specifications: Lenovo Ideapad Specifications: I figured a laptop would be best since he doesn't really need the performance of a desktop and the portability couldn't hurt in case he's on vacation or something. All he does on the computer is browse/stream/watch movies etc. Both laptops are within my ~$600 budget. The main differences I've noticed between the two is that the Vivobook has an 11.6" touchscreen which kinda falls under the "cool technology" section that my dad enjoys and it has a 500gb hard drive. The IdeaPad has a 15.6" screen which would probably be better for streaming/movies and also has a 1 tb hard drive. Was also thinking about buying an ssd as well, although I'm not sure how whether or not he would notice/appreciate the difference in boot time and I'm not familiar with how you install them in laptops. Any input would be appreciated.
  18. Large chunk of Trion Worlds(Rift, Defiance) employees have been laid-off. Rumours say well over half to 80%. http://ca.ign.com/articles/2013/05/17/trion-hit-by-massive-layoffs

I've got a spare beta invite if anyone wants to test the trading card thing. Kinda disappointed with how the system is set up. Each game has its own deck and you can get half the deck max as random drops. That means you'll have to trade/buy from the marketplace if you ever want to craft a badge. With F2P games like TF2 and DOTA2 you get 1 card drop for every ~$9 you spend but, it doesn't seem to count any of the money you've spent prior to beta. Also Cyber Rat and Mastrix are high level than me /shakes fist
  20. I've been listening to this for the past 3 days wondering what to play next.... may just replay the game on 1999 mode https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&NR=1&v=0e4Crth_Hb8
  21. There's currently a promo going on at club nintendo where if you register a xl and luigi's mansion/pokemon mystery dungeon you get a free game. http://club2.nintendo.com/3ds-xl-promo/ I've also heard the xl has a longer battery life so it seems like a safe bet

  23. Darksiders 2, it was good, but not as great as 1. I was starting to get burned out about half way through the third act and the fourth felt rather rushed. Final boss wasn't all to interesting either, and since the ending could never live up to the first I was kinda okay with it.
  24. My first race, as someone who's been playing semi-casually on softcore, was pretty damn fun. 4 reward points woo Lost to Chris Wilson though...
