Comiket 84 is going on and with that comes some indie Japanese games. Of course there are plenty of shumps, Touhou inspired stuff and just plain crap everywhere but there are a few gems I think. What have caught my eyes are from this video: Magical Battle Festa - A 3D beat them up. Decent visuals and looks solid enough. Ghost 93 - An odd 2D game where you can switch dimensions as in change from X and Z axises and even go first person. Nonet Concerto Distortion - 3D beat them up. Look a bit odd but seems workable. Mana Collect - Odd puzzle game of sorts? Perilous Dimension - More of a tech demo than anything. Can use the Oculus Rift. Toho Soccer Two Rebirth - Touhou soccer game in the vein of the SNES classic Captain Tsubasa games. Versh - Raiden clone SwarmSweeper Prototype - Interesting concept. Revolver360 Re:Actor - Side scroller where you can switch "paths". Good visuals. アスタブリード(Edelweiss) - Mecha rail shump. Great visuals. Homura Combat Plus - OMFG A EDF CLONE. Madoka character Rime Berta - RPG inline with Disgaea and Tactics. Seems weak but I can respect the dev for doing a game like this. Sola and Piyo-chan: The Future Detective - Detective game, made like a light novel of sorts? Seems nice. 東方活劇綺談ONLINE 2nd Edition - Touhou side scroller. Seems nice. Battle Raiders - Touhou RTS RPG. Interesting setup? Last few I can't comment on since its just screen shots and shit. Palette Palette looks interesting. Princess Trap as well. さこそ仇なる色に咲くとも 第一部 is a visual novel and seems polished. I'm quite sure there are a lot more games than this but yeah. Just my impressions from the video.

I wear glasses so those sort of headsets (Xbone) kind of annoys me. The PS4 one is also kind of annoying (I don't like muffled sound in one ear) but I'm quite sure in the current gen we can toggle where the voice chat output is so the next gen should have it as well. I like my chat to come from the TV so I suppose the earpiece is optional. Win I suppose. Lose for those chatting with me.

If your screen turns funny then yeah, it should be the GFX card. Newegg a part (if you are in the States). Worst come worst it is not your GFX card and you pay a restocking fee for the return of the GFX card.

That has to be poking fun at stuff like Haruhi where the VAs sing the OP, ED and any character songs. Some of them are actually really good but its odd to think about when you find out they are kind of trained to be "idols". They have to voice the part, sing the part and look and act the part. Its odd as fuck, especially when they act out of line. Aya Hirano is one of the more notable ones. I personally am only aligned to Halko, Momoi Haruko, the (some say the former) Queen of Akihabara. In any case, I got around to Dragon Half. Simple but entertaining. Up next might be Bubblegum Crisis (Old one), Record of Lodoss War (OVA), Madoka or Sora no Woto.

I'll be out of SLO in a year but I'm gunning to be a professor at Cal Poly eventually, despite its problems. At the very least I'll retire around here.

Mikasa is actually ripped. The image that spawned it all though now that I think about it, I'm not sure where the outfit came from. It might have been an adaptation of what she is wearing here. All in all, good fandom material to joke around with.

NY is totally fine if you like the city life. Since I grew up partially in Brooklyn, I can dig it but... SLO life is better. Not a small town but not a large one to the point that you get a suburbs feel. SLO and the surrounding area has enough for you to do if you like the outdoors. If you need a big city, it is only a 3-4 hour drive away. Have family there? Can crash.

Moving to LA (WHY!? LA is the shittest sprawl I've been in), SF or NY? Good luck with rent.

I haven't heard of one either. I know Saunders Girls High School in Girls und Panzer portrayed an US high school, somewhat. Locker filled hallways is pretty warm but that is the only glimpse there.

Yeah... reminds me of me when I was younger, I just wasn't nearly as bad. Now I'm just scatter brained and socially awkward. With that all said... god, I would help her so much. I too had hopes that going between grade levels and such can magically transform you. It doesn't. You have to go up and go back down repeatedly until you get it down (How I got to where I am).
