I'm actually torn between getting this or Fire Emblem for my next 3DS game. Etrian Odyssey always seem to be up my alley but I never had a DS or 3DS to play them until now. And yes, they have great music.

That is the thing, I don't feel like going through that to get to the good stuff like UBW and Fate Zero. If I gave it a chance five-six years ago, it might have clicked but now? Hardly.

Huh, in person it looks fine. The box image is just crap. Size and heft is good and yes, I tried out the regular 3DS before. It is about the same size of my phone w/ the wallet cover so it is totally doable. I'm quite sure my younger brother is getting the regular 3DS. Since I'm older, I have to rub it into his face though, not sure how my mom will feel about it... I think the sale might have been Best Buy way of getting rid of stock to make room for the black one, which is for sure more sexy but the blue one surprised me. Anyways... Atomsk and Company. TRIGGER heard of Kickstarter from "fans oversea"... which mean folks like you and me (Unless some of you guys are in Japan). With the funding they go so far, it got to have turned some heads. For a small studio, the amount they got is quite a bit. Maybe, just maybe, we'll see some interesting stuff happen... also I'm not as afraid of animation kickstarters as I do for video game ones. I feel that you can much better measure out how much time you need. Sure delays can happen but the ones that can appear here seems more manageable. Anyways... I need mai credit card.

For all intent and purposes, no. It just switches out the chicken and potion at the waypoint (portal?) rooms (according to the wiki). So yeah, just plain old regular gameplay.
