  1. Good to know. It isn't as severe as Karkand, I am guessing then.
  2. I'm not planning on getting the BF3 packs so I think I'm kind of out of luck with you folks?
  3. I think I am evolving into a RPing Day Z player. Going to try to be a grieving man with an axe. Lost my wife and who the hell knows what happened to my daughter... /hackhackhack

    1. MasterDex

      MasterDex

Don't hack in Day Z! The developer will ban your copy of ARMA 2! ;P

  4. ( I think there is an analogy in here, so if it is your petpeeve, then I am sorry. ) The Japanese devs trying to make games appeal to the West always strikes me as odd. JP devs can make good games since pretty much all of us here played Japanese games in our youths and we're from the West, born and raised. Yes, they should change how they make their games but they got to still keep their "voice" in it. I do not want a gaming monoculture. I want it to be diverse. Sure games being made that way will have more appeal in certain regions but a good game is a good game. Who knows, doing that may churn out an amazing game with world wide appeal. And yes, I am comparing video game development/making to agriculture/cooking/ whatever that has core traits it need to have but the final product will still have a subjective element to it.
  5. I love how some folks are fear mongering, especially with the folks who go on and say stuff like "Things will never be the same!". Things can be readjusted. Just watch and see how and if things will truly pan out with this. If shit absolutely hits the fan, steps can be made to revert and change the changes to better suit our needs. Trial and error. Just to let you folks know, I don't agree with some of the stuff and their implicatons.
  6. On the long run, there has to be faster speeds and higher/no caps with larger and larger file sizes. No doubt about that but yeah, what Ethan and FDS said. Its easy as hell for PC folks.
  7. That is pretty cool. I wonder how packed is that solution to keep something as large as humans alive for long. It'll be insane if we could get something like 15 extra minutes from those injections. Also I don't think an action video is needed. By the sound of it, they made a lipid membrane that can hold oxygen molecules but readily gives it up to red blood cells. Pretty much it. Magic of chemistry, more specifically... organic chemistry (I'M SCARED MOMMY!).
  8. Just sounds crisper than the one on my computer. There is more emphasis on the vocal than the general feeling of the song*. The instruments are also better segregated. I'm really glad they did this last year oppose to to five years from now or something. Singing with such power will get harder with age. *A good example would be at around 6:10 of the song. Now for something different:
  9. 2011 recording. WHY DOES IT SOUND SO CLEAN?

I hate GMod movies. Its like I'm stuttering while play TF2. So thank glob for SFM.
  11. Bruce Lee won, then and till the end of time.
  12. I need to get back into this. I stopped either because the baddies wth guns were totally outclassing me or that the mutants were really tearing me a new asshole. Also lack of time...
  13. My worms got cooked or poisoned by too much greenery...

    Day Z

Nah, I connected where I left off from about a week or two ago, somewhere north of Pusta. I updated my ARMA 2 beta version and unloaded all other mods like ACE and ACRE. I'm going to freshly spawn when I get home to see if I still have the problem. I want to start roaming around with cans, damnit. Also I wasn't the only one who was invisible on that server. Someone was killing people in the NW airfield according to someone on the Day Z forums. Fearing banning was the whole reason I documented my time invisible, unkillable and all that good stuff. It was odd to say the least.
  15. I'll be honest. If some did that to any of my family's remains, they will be at risk of getting killed by me. Disrepect the dead which will get you on my shit list. Disrespect my family will get you on my shit list. Do both and you better get away ASAP. Extreme? Yeah. However I question the source on how exactly it played out. Not saying that the TSA isn't a scumbag, worthless agency though. 9/11 style attack will not happen in the US for our remaining lifetime since we'll fight tooth and nail like Flight 93. So melee weapons are not a concern. It is reasonable to look for explosive though but like hell the TSA can do anything complex like that. They have to be put under new leadership or scrapped all together. Need to dog up and hog up...
  16. Perhaps. I got pretty iffed about the change... about nine years ago so I never got to play it myself. I could try it now. My younger brother do have a copy. From what I seen though, the menu system may be a tad too clunky. Its workable though. Also, I sort of got priced out of it back then... and there was Halo to consider.
  17. Immersion to me is that once you get the gameplay down, you shouldn't have to think how to do this or that. It should flow. Commands and combos may be different but you shouldn't notice it while playing after looking it up a few times.
  18. X came out around 2000 I think. By the time X came out, I felt this general decline. Its a great game still but there was something off. XI by most accounts was still good but it stopped a fair number of kids like me from getting it because of its requirements for a HD and internet connection for the PS2. It priced me out. Then came XII with its changes to the battle system. It just didn't jive well with my tastes. XIII was pretty eh. XVI almost killed Final Fantasy from the looks of it. Square Enix really need a core battle mechanics to give Final Fantasy a new Final Fantasy feel. Between X to XIII, there was some stark changes between the games. It feels as if they're not related besides the name. Between I to X I could trace that they are part of the same franchise. Changes and evolution to the game mechanics have to be made but what they did was too many deep changes. Personally, I feel that Kingdom Hearts style combat would of been the way to go. It has a menu system and its active. Just the sort of direction FF needs. However with Kingdm Hearts having tha system, FF just can't just take it. So fuck do I know how they can set a new feel. So yeah, what I am trying to get at is that Final Fantasy isn't winning any fans with its constant changes some of which are pretty deep. If they want a game that can topple VII, they can start with giving FF a stable flavor.

    Day Z

I spawned invisible while trying to play to die so I could start out fresh. Plans changed to documenting the server while invisible. Nobody can see or hear me besides a bullet to the face since animals and infected dies when I shoot them and players react to close by gunshots.
  20. Just had a weird experience in Day Z. Will post images later.

  21. My cousin and her husband played/plays XI to hell and back. I suppose it is quite good, especially when compared to XIV which was just terrible from what I heard.
  22. I got bored and ran Minecraft on this department's computer. It runs really well. Sadly I can't get onto any servers since I can't configure the firewall.

  23. I tend to lag behind by a few months, a year or two on games so, no lost on my part. Besides, I tend to replay games. Same would apply for all content really. Well, maybe not for TWOW since GRRM need to get the books out before he can no longer say "Not today!". For any market, the producers need the consumers and vice versa but I feel the producers rely more on the consumers. I can say "Fuck you" to the producers by pirating, buying used or not buying the product. The producers can proceed to setup this DRM or that DRM, raise prices or any other form of pissing off consumers. For me personally, I would stop dealing with those type of producers. Other folks may pirate more. Who the hell knows... Sadly for the producers, they don't make money (food) out of thin air (Not literally) like nature's producers: plants. If the producers die out, we the consumers are screwed as well. We need each other. So lets stop trying to choke each other. <3
