  1. Fire Emblem: Three Houses Fantastic game but some issues... Kind of disjointed story though (I wonder if my choices determined that). Hell, ending was too... I played Golden Deer. Also, the game can be rather easy on normal. I highly recommend Hard or the newer difficulty. With Divine Intervention, you really should be playing with perma-death. I'll probably have more thoughts later when I consume the old Fire Emblem thread. Now... NG+ time. The Boar against the Eagle! Then Eagles time! I want to see how Hubert shines.
  2. I finally can do this. It has been a thousand years.
  3. I have one. One thing to always remember is that air fryers are convection ovens. Treat them as ovens*. They're great for things already coated with oil or has their own source of oil with the exception of breaded stuff (certain parts of the breading gets cooked faster). I frequently use mines for roasted veggies and chicken wings. They're awesome for Chinese BBQ pork (char siew). I should try them with dumplings. While I haven't tried it, I bet you can get great bacon out of it. I really do think they're a great addition to a kitchen. Beats using the big oven. * I use mines in conjunction with a toaster oven. The toaster oven is well, a regular oven, so I can cook something most of the way while the air fryer cooks the same thing all the way. I then transfer to air fryer for final touches. The toaster oven can then be used as a warmer (or the microwave can, which I use when I cook entrees on the stove). I can pretty much avoid using the big oven which is a pain in the ass since I would have to take out all the things inside it...
  4. I shall master tri tip and spread the Gospel of Santa Maria.
  5. I was playing a game with something that reminded me of this song.
  6. ? I got annoyed by checking the temp so often so... Yeah. BBQ TOWN BABY. I think the biggest thing is now I can check the air temp and internal temp at the same time without popping the lid. With the lid on, I could check air temp but not internal meat temp. All I should be doing now is adjusting the airflow for temp control once the meats are all in. And yeah, up to three meats. All different or all the same. It doesn't matter. THIS WEEKEND WILL BE TRI TIP ROUND TWO.
  7. From my few months experience: Sorta. You should always target the source of the problem (e.g., their entry points or breeding grounds) if you can. Carnivorous plants can help but they don't get rid of them entirely since they can't kill them all. It is pretty satisfying to see my sundew covered in fungus gnats or fruit flies that buzz around my potted plants. Yellow jackets are also not much of an issue this year from what I assume to either the climate or my Sarracenias (North American pitcher plants) helped cull their numbers. For that I am grateful. If you want to try one out, for what I assume to be indoors, I for sure recommend a sundew plant. You can also try a Nepenthes (tropical pitcher plant) or Venus Fly Trap for bigger things like house flies. I prefer sticky or pitcher plants due to their nearly continuous feeding potential. From what I understand, all carnivorous plants require full sun (~8 hours of sunlight) so if you have them indoors, have them at a good window and don't be afraid to get a grow light (white LED should be perfectly fine). They all require soft water so if your tap water isn't soft enough, you'll have to collect rain water or buy water for them (my area is luckily soft enough). Other than that, they are actually really easy to grow and keep. Literally just add water to make their soil boggy and keep in full sun. They fertilize themselves. I freaking love these plants... I'm looking into getting a Nepenthes for the indoors. I just need to figure out growing location and light. If only I can hang it in my garden window...
  8. The HU's first and new album dropped the other day and it's awesome!
  9. If you ever get the chance, come on over to the Eastern Sierra for really dark skies. In certain campgrounds, you may even see other people with telescopes.
  10. I need to retire to play all the games I want to play from this decade.
  11. Demon Slayer is like the biggest thing this/last season. I need to get around to it. Besides, look at how gorgeous it looks!
  12. I would be so down for a purely co-op experience. This, not so much.

202X Welcome to the Cube World cult!
  14. At this point it's not so much weather but bullshit politics to save Donald some face... Whatever he has left. And this was the forecast track made for that Sunday during which this whole thing kind of started. You can see all the 5-day track here: https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/archive/2019/DORIAN_graphics.php?product=5day_cone_no_line_and_wind

It looks like the kind of game I probably wouldn't actually like, but it's so pretty...

I grew up on games like it (X-Men arcade game, TMNT, Double Dragon and many others), so RCG is my jam. And yes, it is pretty!

Now that I think about it, @TheMightyEthan, how you feel about RCG is how I feel for fighting games like Guilty Gear and the like. They look so amazing but shit, they're fighting games.

  17. Guys, this is a surprising reason why, for any decision making, you should consult with the National Hurricane Center, your local National Weather Service office and your local officials for the best information for your location. And as always, if you make a mistake, don't double down in front of cameras.
  18. Time for FE Three Houses. I used to be a TA you know! I dreamed of kicking my student asses and taking their heads. Edit: It's really fucking good.
  19. Nice! It'd be a nice way to round out the series before a third installment. Hint?

Oh, she was just proposing to withdraw it in October after recess. It ain't over until it's over.

https://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/politics/article/3025641/hong-kong-leader-carrie-lam-announce-formal-withdrawal The extradition bill may be dead dead. So the protesters got that but at this point, it is beyond the extradition bill. There are the real issues of police brutality and shady dealings between the police, politicians and certain parts of the Triads/mob. Pretty much every could have been avoided if the bill was killed back in June. Now they have a bunch of cans of worms to deal with... Fuck the police.
  22. It kind of nice to get confirmation that this is the sort of things our spy satellites can do. Sure you can figure it out with what we know about them but to see is to believe and there's probably a better satellite up there now (mentioned in the video). If it was sent up earlier this year then it's probably still getting tweaked and setup. I wonder if Donald will give us those images... then it would be really bad.
  23. Basically spanks whatever we typically use. Kind what is expected when it's the size of the Hubble. And yeah, not so much a march of tech but a consequence of what we can get up to space. The US budget is being used for something...
