  1. Steam Anything goes at this point but I guess no sports or fighting games since I suck at those. While my wishlist has been cleaned up but not reordered. If you think you know of a game that I might like, I'm totally down too. Bonus points if it's pretty or does something really well.
  2. Just so I can say that the new Demons and Wizards album is coming out on February 21st. ?
  3. Well, I think I hosed myself for being behind on CS3... the box's pretty though. If the turnaround time for a PC port is like 9 months then maybe I can wait for CS4. With that said, if Durante is on porting duties (not just a consultant) then we should be in good hands. Hmm... if it all pans out correctly then I'll say "good job" to NISA. CS3 localization has some issues but it's nowhere near Ys VIII's terrible one. Anyhow, oddly enough, the Switch version is dropping here first, rather than Japan. If NISA want brownie points then maybe work with XSEED (be really weird) for TitS ports. It would make the library so damn strong (as if it doesn't already have a strong library).
  4. Gotta stand firm on not wanting Disney +...
  5. Where the hell did the whole Ukraine hacking the 2016 election come from? Pretty sure that's new. And weren't they getting their shit shoved in by Russia around the same time period (Crimea)? Never knew they had the time to do election interference...
  6. Ugh... Ditto. I always wanted to play them but you brought it back to my attention. @TheMightyEthan I had a feeling but never confirmed that it could. TIL. I think a 10GB network would just allow it to be uninterrupted, I think. When streaming videos with my Link, I already do get slowdowns/stuttering if network usage is already high (might not be an issue with your household though).
  7. I'm still hoping for a Steam Link V2 that supports a 10 gigabit network just for the extra bandwidth. Who knows, maybe 4K streaming on it wouldn't be out of the question (say from a 4K monitor to a 4K TV). In the meantime though, I'm still enjoying my Steam Link. I still use it frequently.
  8. I have a suggestion... Try photographing while Star Link is over ahead. People are trying to get a handle on what it means to sky/solar photography and you could give insight into it.
  9. The Venus one is really cool. You got enough details where you do expect Venus to have an atmosphere. The atmosphere really helps my mind fill in the gaps in detail.
  10. It's time. Anyhow, I'm in the process of doing like a top ten songs for this decade. Still deciding how I want to do it... which may be by genre/type since I like a whole ton of genres. You know... the above actually counts since it's one of my favorite Christmas songs...
  11. Sale. As for not video game game... I didn't get the third one that covers X-XIV since it's not part of the 3-for-2 deal. Instead I got a cookbook... (I really would love to resize these images but eh).
  12. RIP Steam Controller

That would probably be the best way to deal with them as far as the US is concerned. No boots on the ground be they the US military or CIA/DEA. Nor any air assets like drone strikes. The US does not have a good track record when it comes to involvement in Central and South America. Like sure, the United States can absolutely crush the cartels' armed forces. All you need to see is how we dealt with the Taliban, Al Qaeda and even ISIS when it comes to open combat. Though, once they blend in with the general populous then we're shit out of luck*. Plus they're on the same continent as us. It seriously cannot be understate how having two large oceans helped the United States in so many ways... shit will just turn ugly with so many unintended consequences if the US start to swat the cartels. I hardly think the Mexican government can fill the void so... probably a non-state entity will take hold. And again, the US have a poor track record when it comes to replacing governments in Latin America. * Seriously, the cartels and the likes of Al Qaeda and ISIS aren't that different. The cartels are just a business (I hardly see them wanting to actually rule as a state entity) while the likes of ISIS and Al Qaeda just have religious fundamentalism... theocracy spin to them. Al Qaeda produced a shit ton of heroin and the like. ISIS had their oil. Edit: Also to any side that fights with US backing... don't believe the US lies. You'll probably be left dry in some way. Ask the Hmong, Vietnamese and the Kurds.
  14. Stardust Crusaders is finished. Overall this was better in a lot of ways but I think I prefer Battle Tendency more just because of Joseph. Jotaro is a fine addition to the Joestars but Joseph is just too hard to beat. Hell, Part 3 grew Joseph's character some more which made him stronger. Part 2 also has Lisa Lisa which Part 3 lacks someone like her (I like badass women...). On to Part 4... which is the point I have no history with. Only recent Jojo thing I know is a meme "Oh, you're approaching me?". I don't even know the characters in them and what's the whole deal is. Hell, how do you grow after Part 3? I'm absolutely intrigue how Jojo got up to Part 8. How does it continue for 30+ years!?
  15. I was going to check if the printer itself have anything you can fiddle with or factory reset it but, it pretty much doesn't have a screen. I have no idea otherwise so... I vote ??.

I had to hit up Wikipedia since it's just too foreign to me. a) This past election was for the District Council which has 479 seats with 452 directly elected between 18 districts. Pro-democracy group went from 124 seats to 389 seats. Pro-Beijing went from 300 seats to 58. The remaining 27 non-elected seats is from Rural Committees in the New Territories (areas to the north) who are basically the natives of the area (I believe this group is the Heung Yee Kuk). b) Then there is the 70 seat Legislative Council (LegCo). 35 seats are directly elected from five geographical constituencies. The remaining 35 seats are from interest-group-based functional constituencies (FC). The FCs is what I referred to as the "some version of representation that you see from like the 1700-1800s". There does seem to be a growing wave of pro-democracy sentiment from the 18 districts, the 5 geographical constituencies (which are in the same areas of the 18 districts) and the FCs. With that said, a key figure of all this drama is Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive. The Chief Executive is elected from a 1200 member Election Committee which is composed of... 1-3 is a much larger version of FCs. 4 has part of the above a and b and other groups noted in the quote. I think it's glaringly obvious why the protestors never really focused on ousting Carrie Lam. It's basically a fool's errand to try to replace a chief executive without the backing of a supportive Election Committee which honestly seems impossible. 2020 seems to be the LegCo elections so that will be a good signal of the general sentiment of both the people and FCs. I personally wouldn't count on the FCs... when it comes to business, looks like Beijing is the gate keeper. You live or die by their grace which isn't unlike how Beijing can treat other countries.
  17. For some reason any graphical mods doesn't seem to work for me windowed. The game has to be fullscreen (F11) for it to show else it be default. As for a game guide... Text wise, I'd say the DF wiki one is probably the one I recommend since there is just so much. As for video, Kruggsmash's starting guide is fine. Just enough to get you started and stay living. Everything else is just playing around to see how they work.

That's quite the flip. Mind, from what I hear the number of representatives gained is rather low since far from every seat is directly voted on by regular citizens. It's actually a pretty bizarre system which actually sounds like some version of representation that you see from like the 1700-1800s (e.g., only landowner can vote but this case landowners have their own representatives or something like that...). Might be why one of the five demands of the protests is for universal suffrage.
  19. I should next-day air you some ripe ones in a modern case of sending oranges/citrus to people for Christmas. Anyhow, ripe avocado is soft when lightly squeezed. Squeeze it in a similar way you judge a ripeness of say a peach or other stone fruit. About the firmness of say a ripe banana. I think another good way is to knock it around in a clawed hand. Anyway you do it, it should not be hard like say an apple or hard peach. For guacamole, I say it shouldn't even be firm. I think another way to describe it is to imagine butter. Out from the fridge it is rock hard but once room temp, it cuts and somewhat/is spreads easily. That's more or less what you want out of a ripe avocado. The avocado skin also should not be brown since it can indicate a bruise. As for an overripe avocado... it should be really obvious. Really soft with browning skin and separation of the flesh from the skin. Now what is not obvious is an a matured avocado and one that is just past it's prime. I hope all my comparisons helps you form a frame of reference in your mind. It takes time to figure it out. For me, I can glance at some to get a general idea then a touch test to narrow it down. One thing you can probably do is get a paper bag and toss them in with a banana to speed things up.
  20. We can also just extend the deadline and see what happens.
