  1. While installing my M.2 drive, I unplugged a SATA port that I though was going to my front USB ports (it might be my defunct DVD drive). Doing that allowed the M.2 drive to be seen but it also stopped my first boot up from going to the BIOS screens. I think I can be arsed to shutdown my computer regularly again.

  2. You should've joined back in 2000.

Yes but I can't set that, so birthday it is!

  3. Ao/Azure TL patch from Guren is out in the wild now. It's the one from February and before a final editing pass. I think there was an earlier one that was just machine translation. Soon enough we'll be ready for CS3 and CS4... Whenever and whoever. I just want all this uncertainty over by Christmas. By that point whoever should have enough time to works out a deal with Falcom.

The way I see UBI, it would supplant social security and most other form of welfare (e.g., food stamps). Healthcare would remain untouched since it's such a different beast. With UBI you'll have a roof over your head and you'll be fed but you won't have much else. Any extra things you want will require you to work for it. That is incentive numero uno for wanting to work. To further encourage upward mobility, I think you can opt out of UBI for tax savings. The idea is that after a certain income level you will start losing money compared to the UBI you get but if you opt out, you start to be in the black and can start making more than what you can if you stayed on UBI. Some sort of pressure/incentive has to be in place for those who work to get out of UBI. Not having an incentive to get off welfare can and do make welfare queens and kings. At worst it can encourage a constant state of near poverty within a family or community.
  5. My issue with Progressive is that there is too many pieces going on at once. Progressive has a different approach to it's story than FLCL which is fine, it is a direct sequel. However at the 5th episode point, FLCL already explained and grown a ton while Progressive has a lot to explain and explore in its last episode (Hitomi; Haruko; those other guys). I just don't think it can without being really ham fisted. I would love to be proven wrong though. That or there's a 4th season which I think gives Progressive a lot more breathing room. Hell, maybe Alternative does have more connections to FLCL and Progressive than is let on.

Another four years wait until Mexican Americans attempt to block out the sun with fireworks.
  7. Some of their PS3 localizations were pretty bad. How does a localization somehow brick your system?

    English vs English

As someone who's very outside of practicing law, I have never seen it that way. Maybe Ethan or Goh seen it that way.
  9. Main line games are all bullet hell games made by ZUN. If I recall there are some other games made with the backing of ZUN too. These are the official canon. Then you have everything else. They're all technically fan games. To be honest from a copyright perspective, it is absolutely bizarre that this sort of thing can happen. It's as if we get random Final Fantasy (or any other IP) games made by anybody on Steam. One last thing: http://worldofys.com/ Updated with Celceta. One game is missing for obvious reasons.
  10. Apparently if you download the optional DLC before the main game, you'll crash Ys VIII on the Switch. Hard to know how true is that. Anyhow... Geofront's fan translation (edit) of Zero is at 70%. The team might be able to make quick progress now with school/classes out. If they don't push it hard say before the holidays then it might not be out this year (probably wouldn't anyways). Hopefully by summer of next year? Guren's fan translation (essentially a bit above machine translation) of Ao/Azure is MIA. "It'll be ready when it's ready" sort of deal when everything was pointing that it was kind of done back in like February. Without this, you'd be hard pressed to play Cold Steel 3 if it comes out before this...
  11. Konosuba movie inbound. JC Staff instead of Studio Deen.
  12. BANG BANG BANG / Pull my Devil Trigger I'm probably going to hold off on DMC4 until the Winter Sale or something. As for the second one...................................................................... research.

  15. I think it is pretty safe to say that my next PC upgrades is going to aimed at Cyberpunk 2077. I'm just not sure how drastic it will be. I think at most is GPU and RAM (RAM is a maybe to 32 GB; 16GB that I have should be enough...). I really cannot be arsed to do a complete overhaul (CPU + Mobo).

I'm in the same boat. If it's as insane as people are making it out to be, I doubt my 960 will be able to handle it. Or really last beyond the current gen. The next-gen talk at Bethesda's conference made me a little nervous lol.

Hopefully the GPU is all I'll need to upgrade...

Keep an eye on sale aggregate sites/communities but at this point you might as well wait for the next gen cards.
