  1. The CS2 port is a bit more unstable than the CS1 port. Not uncommon dips in frames in the overworld and a near constant pause after battle-animation skip. Though I am running at max everything but I might cap the frame at 60 FPS to see what happens. It should stop most of the frame drops but I have noticed some sub 30 FPS. Luckily that's mostly when the screen is still (mostly) dark. The crashes that Bacon been getting is probably related to these dips in frames. Get it bad enough and you crash. BUT luckily there's Durante's autosave feature that can be set to 5 minutes to even one minute so at most you'll lose is some battle progress (might be annoying for a hard boss).
  2. Guys... I'm not too sure about this.
  3. I had my suspicions but it's nice that I correctly noticed that Sharon from Trails of Cold Steel and Nancy from Rune Factory 4 has the same VA.

Speaking of which... CS2 IN THREE DAYS!

Isn't it four days? The 14th is Wednesday.

Anyway, I truly picked the worst fucking time to get into Warframe. It got its hooks into me big time, to the point that I haven't touched Tokyo Xanadu at all the past two days. I was planning on getting my NG+/Calamity run done before CS2's release but I don't think that's happening now.

I think Warframe might actually keep me from fully focusing on CS2. It's just so easy to jump in for a couple of quick missions only to end up playing for like 3 hours lol.

I posted it close enough to the 11th... so three days was close enough.

On my end, I might be working away from home again during most of next week so I might need to wait till Friday before I get into CS2. I really need more local jobs...

Or a laptop! Durante optimizes the hell out of these games, so I'm pretty sure a potato could run them decently. IIRC, his optimization goal for CS1 was to get an acceptable framerate on his GPD Win. You could probably run them just fine on basically anything stronger than a netbook.

  4. We're safe for now. There were a few cool things for Steam and Switch so I have those games to potentially look forward to (inb4 introduced localization bug that bricks a Switch).
  5. Pfft. While I haven't played Ogre Battle, this is spot on. For a mainline title though, IX is my favorite. Morph those two things and you have me... plotting to make a Ys or Trails clone but I don't let anyone see it.
  6. https://gematsu.com/2018/02/xenoblade-chronicles-2-version-1-3-0-update-launches-next-week-details Details for NG+ which has spoilers. The most important change is that you can now skip the core crystal animations. In addition to the other animation skips, the grind is now WAAAAAAAAAAAAY less. Not sure if they have yet but now if only they do mass release of blades to cut the grind down even further. Also could use better item management (right now it's just huge lists). I can almost call this a 9/10 game now.
  7. EVO Japan is going to be an amazing tournament in the coming years. The pros in the USA are going to go up against Asian champs that can't travel to Las Vegas. The arcade scene in Japan is probably already a breeding ground for unknown top players. So awesome to see that they can finally get some exposure. Also it is kind of odd that I LOVE watching fighting games but I can't play for shit.
  8. Oh yeah, the stuff that went down in Cloverfield Paradox is REALLY tame compared to Event Horizon and anything that the Warp can toss out but at the same time almost align with what you'd expect. Again, just not as extreme. Also if what I think are the main Cloverfield theories are correct, the next movie Overlord will have demons. After the monsters and aliens in the previous films. I'm honestly not entirely convinced of everything you seen in Paradox to be sci-fi. And no, I have not seen Event Horizon.
  9. The Cloverfield Paradox It's ridiculous but if I tie it to say... Warhammer 40K then it becomes quite funny and enjoyable. Basic premise is some experiment went wrong. Sci-fi hijinks happens. Never go through the Immaterium without a Gellar Field generator.
  10. Tonight is the once in a blue moon catching up with Attack on Titan (eye is fine... for now)... it's still batshit insane but it finally got past A LOT of buildup and splooshed. I swear it been over a year since I've seen her. God, what a long and contrived way to get back to this but I guess it was needed to know the other side but now... they fight. Edit: Just looked, current chapter is 101. This madness begun at 86. 14 months or more (if including any breaks). Who knew the basement was such madness? Edit edit: Got up to 102. Guys, I think it may finish here otherwise it will be an extremely drawn out mess. Not like it isn't already. Next issue in April. Maybe another year or two of this.
  11. Okay, then maybe Story of Season but i have to play it first before I can vouch for it.
  12. Looking into to it, besides the indie titles (which shouldn't be discounted)... there's should be Fire Emblem, Kirby, Yoshi, Mario Tennis and Project Octopath Traveler (Switch only so I'm including it). Next year is probably going to be Pokemon and Metroid Prime 4. Then of course there's Mario Kart (not 8) and Smash to look forward to. I wouldn't be surprised if there be another Zelda game either by say 2020 or so that might go together with a hardware upgrade. Maybe we will get more games on the list by E3 or something. I would be really jazzed if a new Rune Factory or something like that comes out.
  13. The thing with Hairworks is that, with fan-made utilities, you can run the benchmark with or without Hairworks. No diddling with Ansel. You turn off Hairworks, you get your increase. The Ansel bit was trying to find what had Hairworks. The only things that seems to have it was those cows thing and maybe grass but grass have their own thing (Tuffworks) which isn't has hard hitting as Hairworks. If my eye wasn't being a POS I would try it out to see if the dip when you enter the canyon is still there with Hairworks off.
  14. How good is a game that it keeps you playing even if your hands are cramping up from the controller? Rune Factory 4 that's what. Not sure if I like this more than Stardew Valley. The town is way better but progression leaves something to be desired.
  15. https://gurennoheyakara.blogspot.com.br/p/games.html Azure translation is at 100%. Release should be soon-ish. As for edits, whenever the folks editing Zero get done with that they'll move onto Azure. So at this point we got (rough) translation for Zero and Azure. Translated and edited Zero maybe mid year? Azure late 2019? TEN MORE DAYS TILL CS II.
