Final Fantasy Tactics WotL, To the Moon and 80 Days for mobile. They were cheap/on sale, I had credits to use and I want games. The last two I have eyed for a while while FFT is self explanatory. Edit: FFT runs a bit fast. Sounds like the death screams are sped up or perhaps it was meant to be this way but the PS1 hardware couldn't keep up? Translation is more flowery too.

They must have known.

I forgot this thread exist. I wonder what you guys have to say while I let this game languish in my to-be-played for so long. Anyhow, regarding Pascal and the video... Horrifying game. Edit: Horrifying thread. I know this game came out this year but I forgot all my posts in here. Almost feels like I was a different person... seriously. I'm not kidding. Which also means this aspect of humanity would be kind of neat to explore in games. Not sure how though. I'm going to be up all night now.

John Wick: Chapter 2 "Oh: Chapter 2". This series of movie is just fun. It's grounded in its gunplay yet located in a ridiculous universe of supreme criminal underworld. This universe is as if it is the more serious wider world set in the ridiculous Black Lagoon universe. All this just because Theon had to steal a car and kill a dog. Also I can see why people joke that John Wick, The Matrix and Constantine are interconnected. Part of the reason why it is sooooooooooooooo good:

Help help! I feel attacked! (By the tax bill, anti-NN and a host of other stuff)

I LOVE KISEKI As for the spoiler that pissed me off. Think leitmotif. I haven't confirmed it but I believe it since it is such a Falcom thing to do. It may or may not be major though so whatever... I guess.

So this is what Nobuo Uematsu been doing. Basically expanding on the Black Mages to include other IPs.

I asked around. CS2 spoils up to Azure/Ao after CS2's last boss. Not so much the events that happens but the consequences of what happened in Azure/Ao. I feel that we got the overarching gist of what happened in Zero. I think the details will start to become important in say CSIV. As for play order.... The Crossbell games spoils more of Cold Steel games than the reverse so either way we're kind of hosed as far as spoilers goes. The only people who has a chance of being as spoiler free as possible are those who enjoyed the games as they released and those in the future who go in blind. (As a side note, if I made any new fans of this series, I suggest taking your sweet ass time). CSIV is probably going to gun it and reveal something we've been dying to know. The next arc is almost for certain Calvard which was also hinted at in 3rd and probably in CSII and CSIII... and I got to say, 3rd is increasingly really is a bridge. And I don't think I have intentionally spoiled myself with CSII+ stuff. Some is me being careless while others kind of come with being part of the Trails community... and some are dumbfucks who don't think and just drop a wildly suggestive title for the thread topic. God, I am still pissed about that. Hopefully my unspoiled text is vague enough to not be concrete spoilers. Let me know if you think they ever are since, again, it's for any new players and potential new fans of the series.

I went into Falcom's twitter page to trawl for Christmas themed images. I alt-F4 really quickly. Let's say the spoilers there is absolutely brutal since CS4 announcement. I think by now it is no secret that for CS4, you are highly recommended to have played ALL prior games. The game is the longest of the bunch and has the most playable characters (Rumored to be 25). It is so awesome yet it is such a curse. See Britt's tweet. I honestly might buy CS2 then wait out for the fan translation of Zero and Ao... it'll help stagger the games for me to wait out CS3. It also helps keep the Crossbell games a bit of a mystery.

It's that time of year again! TL;DW One that caught my eye is Wing of Darkness. Basically a mashup of say Zone of the Ender and Ace Combat. There's a gameplay video out in the wild that shows off the combat in a way better light (Imagine being Char from Gundam). It has potential to be a pretty good game. During C93, a demo will go on sale for like a buck. If it does well, maybe we'll have a neat Japanese indie game next winter (or it could be in development hell for years...).

Something reminded me of Kiseki-mas. Enjoy! MetalCaveman, you better know what is coming to you as well.

DMC EVERYONE... Not like this, please.

Metro 2033 and Last Light Redux. I want to replay 2033 and I need to play Last Light. I also made some other purchases but they're kind of for research for cheap off the wishlist gifts and/or gag gifts for the future.

My younger brother got me Nioh so I am playing that. Not sure why he got it NOT on sale but whatever. I appreciate it since I wasn't expecting to play Nioh until at least summer. If I can power through it then it'll be another 2017 game that I have played. If you ever taken note on what I play, I rarely keep up with a year this closely. To be honest, it is insane how much 2017 games that I have played. Anyhow... A quick impression run has me excited. While it is Souls-like, the quickness to the combat feels so good. Meticulous but quick is how I like it. I'm glad the impression by watching Nioh gameplay holds true so far.

100% Orange Juice is kind of a gag gift but it is a Spoiled it just for you to come back to. Let's say that I wouldn't give you a game that I don't enjoy. Speaking of which, I am still unsure about Neo Aquarium...

Honorable Mention: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 I've thought about it some (it has been on my mind as I was working my way to finish it) and I think I should mention it. In a different universe where I've done things a bit differently and have slightly different preferences, this totally could've taken GOTY. Despite all its flaws and me being me, I can see that.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Anime bullshit that is totally worth your time to play. The battle system absolutely spanks most other JRPGs (including my beloved Trails games) once it gets going. The world, while hindered by the Switch's lack of power, is breathtaking in that you will find yourself snapping screenshots quite frequently. The music is also top notch. I actually liked the story, despite the anime bullshit. I'm excited for the DLC story, whatever it is because they can explore so many options (may be a bad thing). The game also has shit ton of quality of life issues that are too numerous to list. They are that pervasive in the game. Game issues however are related to my opening words to this post: Anime bullshit. If you can imagine it then it probably has it. The most egregious example is that you can absolutely spank bosses but then you get your ass handed to you in the cutscene. As for something that you will actively deal with... there is the RNG bullshit that comes with getting rare Blades. It's literal content of the game put behind a system ran by an increasingly stingy Lady Luck. If you run out of Cores to pull from then back to grinding for you! Also I hope you enjoy sitting through pulling screens (one example of QoL issues)... I guess the obtuseness of the battle system can be an issue at first. For me, it was really poorly explained. Edit: If I have two piece of advice to future players (spoiled in case you want to go in blind)... God I am kind of pissed. I cannot talk about the story at all without spoiling. I can only dump info and how I feel.

I love my artbooks. There was a Key Animation book (one of my favorite things) but that was sold out... Twitter really dropped the ball on showing me tweets that these and other sold out stuff was on preorder.
