  1. Cracked my molar start of the year, so £200 later (I guess £300 if you count in prior works with fillings too) I now have one of these: Feels a bit weird, since my filling left it sorta concave n a bit sharp. Now it's all smooth n rounded. Rather happy with it. (It's a porcelain crown)
  2. I'm currently playing Stick of Truth, it's pretty good. A sort of grown-up version of Costume Quest.
  3. The dog. The kicking will continue until morale improves.
  4. https://www.humblebundle.com/books/paizo-pathfinder-bundle Humble Bundle have a bunch of Pathfinder stuff on the cheap. Good if you're wanting to get an understanding for it but really helps to have a physical book I find. (honestly weird they include "GM Screen" when in reality it's a large solid cardboard panel that covers up almost one side to another on a regular table, not at all replicable with a PDF on a tablet.
  5. Yeah I'd seen mention of it floating around but didn't get to watch the video til lunch and was surprised at the abuse giving them. They used to kick the dog too (which has been discontinued )
  6. Yeah I got a "nope" on the GTX 760. So something to maybe eye up for my birthday.

    Your Rig

I had the G5 which was rather nice, I believe the G500 is the newer version of that. I'm currently on a Madcatz RAT. I like it, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's a bit of a beast, though fits my palm rather nicely. Not sure I'd want a mouse with an integrated keyboard but each to their own. Personally I've never owned a razer product but mainly cos everyone I've known with them they've usually fallen apart as overprice "gamer" tat. Your best bet is avoiding anything "gamer" focused for the most part. Personally I think Microsoft are an oft overlooked hardware manufacturer, though best I can tell from an attempt at a recent keyboard recommendation they're not in that business any more which is a bit of a bummer (well accessories at least, they're obviously doing the Surface stuff). I've a nice HP mouse at work, cheap n wired and nicer than the shit my boss somehow picks up (I chose my own mouse, he then reimbursed for it. He is an apple person so doesn't really grasp anything that doesn't come in white and aluminium)
  8. Mystery Men It's been thrown about recently due to the recent release of Deadpool as a "sorta similar film". I guess to a degree it is, but more to an era where the main comic book film was the Schumacher Batman films and it does ape that quite well. But for that it extremely shows it age. I think a lot of the jokes were more miss than hit, though Blue Raja was great with his fork and spoon puns. Ben Stiller is sorta framed as the lead, with character growth and such but he's pretty lame both as a character and actor in this. I guess it was neat that the two characters that were dissed by the rest of the Mystery Men are the only ones with actual powers (though super niche). I guess apart from the Bowler who is acknowledged as being the more "powerful" of them. It is however nice to see Eddie Izzard in things, and Geoffrey Rush as Casanova is great (like regardless of anything about the film Casanova Frankenstein is a great name). Dated through enjoyable.
  9. Crossbones, as set up in Winter Soldier. Also Martin Freeman is in it playing a sort of special diplomat person and likely the "in" for Black Panther. Also I've got Empire on my door step this morning so I'll read that and maybe fill out some more bits n bobs like I totally forgot to do with BvS
  10. Yeah these prices are way over what I was expecting. I figured Vive might be able to take a cut from selling VR stuff through Steam (which Oculus doesn't have the luxury of) a bit like like consoles taking a cut at launch on the back of selling games. Also they had touted their lighthouse as making it cheaper, and yet it comes out costing more than Oculus. Might take off in same way phones have, though I can't see there being much of a market for the lower end stuff in same way you've got cheapo Galaxy Mini n such. Really only Cardboard and that's like two cans and string compared to an iPhone. PSVR might work out cheaper (on the above assumption of taking a price cut and making it up in game sales) but I dunno now. Like really at these prices you're better off improving gaming experience by investing in a beefier GPU and a 4K screen or something at least that'll lead to gaming improvements across the vast majority of your games instead of a bonus for a couple specially made games.
  11. https://youtu.be/JTXQKK4C358 All the Simpsons. Optimal viewing is on a phone (which is why it's a link, and not embedded)
  12. You checked all your drivers? Probably worth having a bit of a check they're all updated (BIOS included) for Windows 10 and you're not kicking around with some Windows 7 stuff (which is many years old at this point)
  13. I played it a bit this morning, bit bummed to find there's only the two core missions in there and the rest is just the PvP and the mini-side-mission stuff (let's call them...Patrols) Yeah it looks rather pretty (see above video) but yeah, pretty damn bland with it's "shooty gun" "shooty harder gun" "reloady faster gun". Gunplay feels a bit pants too, not very exciting, just the same series over n over. I guess, since Destiny is the main comparison for this, that has the bonus of a sci-fi setting so you can have invisible enemies, elemental weaponry, special skills etc. This the enemies are also bullet sponge, and more bullet sponge for the bosses.
  14. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-35621079 23rd June.
  15. I never asked for this. (huh, turns out he was meant to voice Far Cry 3, and did like most of the work before Ubisoft ditched him) Hmm, I wonder if this might pull in bits from Nemesis system. Also that's totally the tribe from From Dust
  16. http://i.imgur.com/SAkFHHd.gifv I've grabbed this on uPlay for the weekend open beta if anyone wants to join. I've only got Ethan on there at the moment, though as discovered in the PSN thread you should be able to add both of us pretty easily
  17. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-us-2016-35607597 The pontifex has questioned Trumps Christianity. Hah! Pretty sure of all people to question ones faith it's the head of the religion Meanwhile Rubio remarks: Hah! Man, if only someone gave out some kind of...I dunno...commandments or something. Maybe they don't apply to politicians I guess.
  18. Beefier than mine, but mine is over 2 years old at this point (if not 3 maybe...)
  19. http://marvel.com/news/movies/25742/marvel_studios_begins_production_on_marvels_guardians_of_the_galaxy_vol_2?linkId=21342195 Cast list for GotG: Vol 2 announced. Includes Kurt Russel, who folks are so far are assuming will be the dad. (it's an otherwise largely dry, press release type post)
  20. Unlikely to hit consumer hands if it's an archiving medium. Most consumers don't need archives for that long (or they actually do, but generally don't care) so the market is pretty small. Most archiving formats, such as tapes, are generally business use only. Blu-Ray was the last archiving format consumers got and that totally didn't take off, most still use DVDs for a whopping 4GB of space.
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-35595530 Not quite politics, but a look at changing trends in British food over the decades (turns out we record this shit)
  22. I'd be up for that. American wise I'm usually around Friday n Saturday nights.
  23. I picked this up using a GMG voucher to make it a tad cheaper.
  24. Come on dude, we've talked about this before. It's the most American city there is. (As before: use the Canadian captions)
