Nah it's on Steam, it'a an S-E published game and they're not gonna make a loss in having it Windows store only. The other two big UWP fuck ups, Quantum Break n Gears of War, are MS published games.

Currently giving Hellblazer a whirl. I think this is a particular run (since I think in New 52 he's now part of the Justice League Dark or whatever, where they've integrated other comics more into the DCU). I'll open with saying I quite liked the film and watched it without knowing it was based on a comic. The ending was absolutely brilliant imo and great for casting for Gabriel and Lucifer. What's kind of neat is seeing some of the little elements of the comic that had appeared in the film (for example trapping the cockroach and blowing smoke in, which implies to me that despite being set with an American Constantine the director had at least actually read a chunk of the comic (whic given the director also did I Am Legend, Hunger Games n Gotham as well seems he's used to adapting works). Comic is pretty good, there's times it goes a bit rambly and you kind of have to slightly ignore some of the "magic" bits for the larger plot and character arcs/development going on. Also Newcastle features for a bit which is kind of neat.

Vision in casual wear is kinda weird (though I imagine is done cos it makes that scene oh so much cheaper)

And Canada (and many other nations)

The console manufactures don't sell you the console. As mentioned it's likely Gamestop/GAME/local equivalent will do trade-in deals like they always do with newer consoles but I don't think there's any precedent for the manufacturers doing it. What'd they do with the second hand consoles?

So from the government/publics perspective the Avengers were involved in full or in part in: - Trashing a university (Incredible Hulk) - Trashing chunks of New York (Incredible Hulk) - Trashing more chunks of New York (The Avengers) - Building a world police force (Age of Ultron) - Dropping a city from the sky (Age of Ultron) - Trashing an African city (Age of Ultron) - Trashing three heli carriers and chunks of DC (Winter Soldier) - Creating Ultron (Age of Ultron) - Trashing a New Mexico town (Thor) - Trashing London (Dark World) - Assassinating many people over the decades (Winter Soldier) - Involved in a secretive agency (Winter Soldier) - An ex-KGB assassin (Winter Soldier) From Iron Mans perspective he: - Created Iron Legion as a policing force - Created Ultron...indirectly leading to - Dropping a city out the sky (along with the sub plot of nearly nuking the world) - Developed the technology that allowed a portal to be opened above New York Which he super regrets now and totally agrees they should be held accountable and generate more trust in the Avengers n such. From Captain Americas perspective he: - Fought Hydra in WWII - Fought them again in present - Wants his Hydra brainwashed BFF back. And he's like "why should I work for a corrupt government again, after all the shit with Hydra? We're doing the right thing and I know it".

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/steamforged/dark-soulstm-the-board-game/description There's a Dark Souls board game coming out. Model quality looks great. Also SHIELD agents play Dominion.

Shitty games like that would continue to be the norm regardless of a newer console or not.

I doubt a dev unit would need one. Also on the optimising front, games still need to pass by Sony and if they think that your game unsuitably suffers on the original PS4 then they'll likely scrap it. Heck, for testing I'd just use the original.

I imagine it'll likely be more like the DSi bump, would cause issues I think if they went the New 3DS route (Which they have Nintendo to work from). Games will maybe run smoother, less FPS drops n what not but unlikely to have different games. Would sort of defeat the point of consoles if on top of having to install games, and run updates, and deal with crashes, and hard drive management, and all that you also had to check the minimum requirements too..... I wonder if this is cos of the change to X86. In the past consoles it'd be a bespoke chip, and it would be improved over time, they'd usually reduce the NM and thus the power output and slim off a shit ton of the circuitry with each slim n super slim. But with X86 they're mostly off the shelf chips, would make sense I guess to just grab the latest chip off the line than redevelop the chip they already have.

The models in FFIX are fine, though be nice to see a mod down the line slip in the HD backgrounds where available. It lets you set up custom controls too, so I've everything as default except like yourself swapping the n around to more conventional select n cancel. One thing I'm still undecided on is that the default Title Menu button is "Continue", and this is different to what you'd expect. Turns out they've built in a sort of checkpoint system, and there's where "Continue" places you, rather than at your last save. It's annoying cos sometimes (especially in the World) you'll be placed a bit behind, but on the plus side it means if you're killed by a boss you start right up again in that room instead of having to go through the whole previous sequence again. E.g with Black Waltz 1 it took a few shots to kill him (I'm trying to Steal too often I think) but I just started right up at the waterfall each time instead of the Moogle, then the sleeping scene, waking scene, then heading to Black Waltz 1. Just left Gizmalukes Grotto n got Black Waltz 3 Fight #2 coming up. I'm playing it between sessions of ESO, which I've got a third character recently set up, mainly wanting to see the starting areas. My first in Vulkhan Guard is probably still the best purely based on layout. Crafting tables are pretty much right by each other, though I guess in Daggerfall the bank is right near the clothing n blacksmith tables, a shame the deposit box for daily crafting and the woodworking is so far away. It reminds me a lot of Guild Wars 2, though not as "pretty". Pretty much everything in it so far is Green.

Pretty well done video for something that's just a bit of a pun.

Thoug be aware that if it runs at full pelt on battery, your battery will last a lot less.

Kinda neat, a "e-skin" that can measure oxygen levels. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-36055501 Also a gorwing sign BBC need to sort their categories out as this showed up under health, tech n science.

Probs one of the best tunes in FFIX, if not in FF altogether.

Not my 360 controller, but yeah this is correct. And that was both running it natively as DS4, and with running it with DS4Windows that makes it appear as Xinput. Sounds like Steam Controller has similar issues too.

I've started on AoS again today actually, back up to where I got to last time (lass with the eyeball camera)....wait no if the upcoming episode has some Extremis folks in I think I remember watching something about that. I guess knowing what's sort of upcoming with related to the Winter Soldier stuff has me interested.

I've heard it'll be "quantum". I don't much care tbh, same effect n all regardless of how you wave it around. Be somewhat interesting given technically Scarlet Witch is a magic user, though that's also put down in the comics to her affecting probabilities, which I guess is "quantum" too, though it sort of flip-flops a bit in the comics since she's a mutant and mutant power of magic would be a bit weird I guess. In the film she's been shown as telekinetic n telepathic than magic.

Was there any doubt?

Well he's new so no choices are gonna affect his storyline much. He's who I ended up going with actually, I think mainly cos Lelliana wasn't an option. He's pretty nifty in your party too. I'm trying to think what past decisions would affect tbh. I think probably mainly the War Table stuff (I know at one point you get option to track down the DA:O protag). It's a completely different character you play. Not like ME with the same Shepard throughout. Oh yeah, there's a biggy from DA2 that I imagine will impact stuff.

Does anyone wanna give a summer of the April update cos tbh I'm confused on what its changed and the Destiny Subreddit isn't entirely helping on this whole "levelling up now changed" thing. I guess there's also a Taken armour set. That's all I've really grasped.

@Ethan: Hah, that's what I did with DA:O. EA really suck at reducing DLC cost over time. @Gerbil: I missed out on DA2, so some specifics were lost on me. I'll say it kinda makes the Keep a bit confusing, at least I had context for DA:O. I never did it but I believe ME3 on PS3 came with like an in-game prequel comic for your plot points which I think would have worked better, like a super-slimmed down DA:O/DA2 plot than the contextless Keep. I like the idea n all, just implementation kinda sucks. I even picked some stuff "wrong" for the DA:O bits, but turns out you had to change some of the choice settings in keep to let you pick others, if other settings were still on default it wouldn't let you make certain choices in other settings. Was a bit of a PITA. My only major issue with DA:I was Skyhold was pretty massive n you spend so long there, and it's a bit of a PITA to get around even with the fast travel points within. Mainly cos there's like 5(6?) storeys to it. The dessert is a bit huge too until you remember DA:I has mounts (they're mainly a bit useless)
