  1. http://www.eonline.com/news/756288/jared-leto-sent-used-condoms-and-anal-beads-to-his-suicide-squad-co-stars-yup-you-read-that-right Jared Leto apparently has different comics with Joker in than the rest of us.
  2. Finished Preacher the other day. T'was recommended (though not directly) by Rich Stanton (if any of you follow him on Twitter, he's pretty ace though a huge Dark Souls nut) It's Garth Ennis, same as who did The Boys which I've read before now. I'd say Preacher was much better, though not hard going up against The Boys, though it also has the same weak ending that The Boys had where he sort of runs out of story and pumps and ending out. But the journey in this is fine so makes up for it. Much less needless sex and gore in this (even though one arc features a hedonistic society). It's worth a read, some great characters (I love Herr Starrs character arc. Less so with Arseface who had very little impact on the plot but featured kinda heavily). They're making an AMC series to come out later this year (month maybe) though I found out after the fact. I've watched the trailer and I'm a bit "eh" on it. While I like Dominic Copper he's not quite who I would have playing Jesse. Given Quincannon is gonna be in the first series for 10 episodes I reckon they're not planning on following the plot of the comic too closely. (Though it's Jackie Earle Haley, aka Rorscharch n he was great)
  3. And to this day lancasters are still knobheads. (oh and Warwick is not pronounced with that second w)
  4. Gonna be interesting to see them wedge this into the Arther C Clarke "any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" route they took with Thor for the MCU. Also <3 Tilda Swinton.
  5. T2. I've seen it before obviously, and I'd hope most of you guys have too. It's just such a great film.
  6. I guess I'll grab that upgrade.
  7. Don't quote me on this but I believe you can run odd RAM sticks, however they'll be really fucking slow and you'd be better off going with having less over 2 sticks than hobbling it with 3. The D in DDR is Dual Data Rate. Given the price difference between RAM n coolers it'd be more efficient to buy a new cooler alongside more RAM rather than allowing a cheap cooler to dictate the parts in your PC.
  8. New trailer. Will be my first watched in real time.
  9. They royally fucked up their original plan for DCCU with the Green Lantern film, so playing a lot of catch up. They did originally go for "Goofy" n it didn't work for them, mainly cos it was wank, ditched it all and playing serious catch-up. I imagine they want to make sure they've the bulk of their films, n the DCCU ball rolling, before Marvel wraps up Phase 3, which starts at the end of this month so they're on a pretty tight schedule. Bummer is in trying to make sure they don't miss the finishing post they might end up putting audiences off the Marvel stuff. Marvel have managed to get Spider-man back under their wings, but Fox royally fucked up the momentum for comic book films with FF, though redeemed with Deadpool. X-Men is upcoming but they've been pretty fine with the Mcavoy-Fassbender stuff, leaving DC as the only major potential fuck-up for Marvels plans. They're on their home strech, but there's still 3 years for DC & WB to set in comic book fatigue through terrible DCCU films. I do agree on the origin stuff. While I think it's stupid showing Batman's origin for the umpteenth time(twice in the same movie at that), apart from Joker most of this cast is gonna be new to most cinema goers. Waller* n Harley had a fair bit of face time in the cartoons, and Deadshot n Croc popped up in that and the Arkham games but rest are pretty virgin from the pages of comic books. I think we're gonna get Harley origins, it seems trailers are focusing a chunk on her with her being chased down by Batman n such. I think the rest are likely to not bother apart from names n powers n let the plot do the talking (or the bar scene at least). Or maybe they'll just start the film with Bruce looking through convenient CCTV footage on his computer. Who knows? *She's also frequently tied with Cadmus too, which has a habit of attempting to clone Superman or make their own superheroes in some way too which'll likely be referenced to crop up in a later film. While she's likely less known than Joker she's probably in much more shows, films n games than he is. She's great. She's not evil per se, just a nasty habit of putting into motion plans that end up with the word "villain" included in them. Oh yeah, she's also sort of Terry McGinnis' mum in a "genetically engineered a Batman of the Future" kind of motherly way. Which might also crop up in reference too. Apart from Lex she's probably one of the more "powerful" humans in DC.
  10. While I'm not a huge Telltale fan either, I'd recommend giving "Fables" a read if you're into the story/lore of that game at least (it's what Wolf Amongst Us is based on)
  11. Yeah, upgrading OS always do a reinstall of drivers cos what works on one OS will get you by on another but will be far from effective.
  12. New Suicide Squad trailer Really angling with the whole "Superman will kill us all" angle in the DCCU aren't they.
  13. Hugh Laurie was great, I just felt his characters aims/ideals were a bit broad ranging and undefined, such as they'd gone through and made the film n then gone "wait we need a bad guy". His main arc was also central to the final 20 minute mess I think it would make a good video game though. It's not entirely in the right order, but damn does it have strong Bioshock parallels.
  14. "This is how I was taught, and this is how I'll teach you. At least you didn't sink the ship on arrival. I never did learn how to do that one"
  15. Tomorrowland. While I quite liked some of the visuals and themes it hand (even if a bit on the nose, but it is a kids movie) I think the pacing was a bit off (really dragged out on what the "big bad" was until towards the end) and the villians aims/ideals where a bit vague/wishy-washy. It's kind of a film to watch with your kid if they're into the "Maker" movement I guess. edit: It is a bit sort of like "Bioshock in the future", which I guess is a minor plus of sorts I guess. edit 2: Also while it doesn't lay them out in a strict fashion it does have rules for the "time travel" within the movie which it follows which imo is always a plus cos a lot of films with "time travel" usually forget their rules. And I'll be honest I watch Doctor Who and that's a terrible offender.
  16. Someone's has done an analysis of 2,000 film screenplays to break down the male-female ratio of dialogue. Also had a look at the ages of the cast too. http://polygraph.cool/films/index.html It has its flaws, and they acknowledge them but it's a pretty decent showing that there's quite the imbalance.
  17. Some of dat british film locations.
  18. It's good to add in exposition, which I imagine is part of the point of the video (the channel normally looks at film-school type stuff. It's one I'm subbed to)
  19. Pretty neat list, could likely easily make it to 20 and still have to slice bits out. Obviously I agree with #10 Oh and the FFVII game will be a trilogy in the same vein as FFXIII http://www.gamespot.com/articles/final-fantasy-7-remake-will-be-multiple-full-sized/1100-6438387/?ftag=GSS-05-10aaa0b Not sure how they're gonna pull that one off tbh.
  20. Just put the paste on the right part of the CPU. Otherwise, yeah it's quite nerve racking but pretty dang easy.
  21. Rogue One teaser trailer. Gonna be lots of dissecting this one. That Death Star reveal shot is sweet. Many bothans died to bring you this trailer.
  22. There's Hamachi, though it seems to have been massively overhauled since the days I used it in Uni: https://www.vpn.net/ Seems this Evolve is picking up the slack though I've no opinion on it: https://www.evolvehq.com/welcome And a bunch of alts to try here: http://alternativeto.net/software/hamachi/
  23. You can grab the remote play installer here: https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/index.html I'll be giving it a spin later. My computer n PS4 are right next to each other, but hey saves changing my signal input. edit: the quality of the stream is pretty low, but I guess it's the trade-off between quality n speed.
  24. I have it installed, yet to sign in cos I'd forgotten my details.
