First part of video covers some of the costume design. Seems the suit is much brighter IRL than it is on film. *sigh* (latter part is about Dark Knight 3)

Sort of a shorter version of above half hour video summarising some of the changes between the two games. Slightly annoying..err bullet point. I don't know what it's called in youtube videos but you'll know what I mean come the third one.

Patch 1.10 is so large it has 600 fixes, tweaks and improvements that spans a 13 page PDF: http://wpc.4d7d.edgecastcdn.net/004D7D/media/THE%20WITCHER%203/Pdf/patch_1_10_changelog_en.pdf It will be 20GB on consoles and 6-20GB on PC (I imagine it's a delta update, so if you've previous updates it'll be smaller)

On a PC they've put the "Cards" on 1234, directly above the WASD used to move. It kinda hurts tbh, and you can't move and use a card at the same time. Fine if you're wanting to use the sniper rifle, but kinda sucks if you want to throw grenades. I'll have to try a differnt key bindng out, maybe put them on back/forward keys on mouse (which I know you can default for cos not everyone has). Considering one of the game modes pits a squad of rebellion soldiers against a squad of imperial soldiers backed by AT-STs and two AT-ATs and with the bonus that when they're shooting at you it's not blinding white around the entrance but a smooth darkness it's just a tad uneven. But I guess it's true to the films result of the battle. I've only had two matches where they've been destroyed, otherwise it's usually around 60% health on both at the end still. Needs a big retweaking there.

No one else think it's weird they've not even implied they'd have any DLC/Episodes for this?

I had similar thought, but apparently it's a perk from previous games though I can't for the life of me remember what it was.

Some of us are using PC you know. http://i.imgur.com/TU56bkG.gifv Oh on a legit "issue with it" note apart from the pants team balancing there's a typo in the instructions, I can't remember exactly but it is omitting a space.

http://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/prepare-for-the-future-fallout-4-important-release-info/2015/10/08/35 System Requirements and lots of other nitty gritty info like supported languages and such. Intelligence video is also out but I'm at work and in control of the office music today so can't load Youtube.

I had a bit of a shot with it last night. It's not overly brilliant at explaining some concepts but it's fun enough, especially once you unlock gear so can start jumping around and using a sniper rifle (which I'm a dab hand at). Started lagging like crazy though so called it a night. I'd say main issue is it's not showing too much new, I remember Hoth from previous Battlefronts (though I'm pretty sure this is much bigger). I'd say with the drop pod one it's more that it can be a bit one sided (especially as there's no match correction stuff so we ended up 6 vs 1 on one match and I had a 2 vs 0 on another) with pods appearing next to folks spawn points at times making it a bit easier for one side to capture and defend. The buddy system is kinda nice for getting you in the action, though I'm not sure how it's meant to work as sometimes it's there and other times it isn't. Also Hoth interior could do with a map or something. Oh btw how'd you make it go 3rd person? Though I could maybe figure it out myself, I do need to change a few key bindings cos 1234 is a PITA to hit without stopping dead.

Yeah iirc GOH ages back was "nope not be here cos porn". Also while I've picked up a PC code I'm suddenly thinking "hmm, PS4 might be a good idea and can play together maybe".

The stone has been struck! But on the radiation front his method of heating surely won't have done too well for him in the long run?

Yeah that bit near the end I was thinking "So everything else seemed very "scienced the shit out of", but this bit I'm pretty sure wouldn't work and would be a terrible idea for the reason people pointed out".

Star Wars: Battlefront Early Access Beta Codes
deanb replied to Thursday Next's topic in Multi-Platform Games
I've snagged the top PC code. I should figure a way of making this thread sign-ins only. -
The female armour can be unzipped for a "tactical advantage". Hmm :/

One week to go I guess.

It's all very well and good using tall trees to get that high but without the existence of radio technology for several millennia you're going to struggle to unlock parts of your map even if you could get that high up. Also another thought: How do you fend yourself from the Golgafrinchans and maintain a stable economy with that many trees around?

How are you going to climb radio towers in BC times?

The Martian Pretty damn good film, some nice touches throughout*. I'd say my only overall issue with it is that it used days throughout without a single mention of months, weeks or years so you're having to do all those calculations in your head to get a sense of scale (as best I can tell the film takes place over ) It's a film that I think sells the idea of Mars better than anything NASA or similar would be able to do on their own. (and I notice it makes CNSA look good too, minor role but one that'll capture that increasingly important Chinese market). * I'll have to add the book onto my pile I think.

I've a sneaky feeling since our HD is likely to be just as 1080p as yours that he's maybe talking about the general quality. Especially since he's 60 he might favour our dramas more, we do have some good ones (you guys carry importing them). This is England, our wiring situation is pretty good on the safety side*. And as a just in case there's an emergency cut off right out of shot there (usually if you're a terrible person you'll put the light switch and shower cut-off switch next to each other and your guest will power off the shower each time they go to have a piss in the dark). Given you guys have AC in a lot of places it's strange you don't have electric showers. They're still a bit of a luxury over here mind, but becoming popular since bathtubs = space we don't have in modern homes. *especially given you guys use a regular switch in the bathroom. Can't find a full picture of one, just a picture of the handle, but basically it's a white plastic hockey puck in the ceiling with a string coming out the centre which descends to a pull handle of your choice (you can get some nice themes pull handles). I imagine you guys have the little wall lamps with shot pull cords on? It's one of those but all the way from ceiling,

http://www.buzzfeed.com/alanwhite/everything-comes-with-chips You guys eat fork in right hand? Also a chunk of this is quite Cornwall centric (for example calling it a country which only people in Cornwall do). Those silly DornishCornish men.

Might make things go a bit funny for stuff like Facebook and the like in future. The NSA really threw a spanner in the works for American companies trying to work abroad.

He was lead singer of The Smiths which were a fairly popular band back in the day, pop up on the radio quite often. Might have heard of them. Morrisey himself is quite controversial, every time he pop up in the news there's panic on the streets of London.
