  1. How do you measure "miles of code". Height, or word length. Either way you can make it vary considerably. Compared to the metrics provided in Mass Effect thread, these are somewhat lame and irrelevant. (And the soda thing not exactly something to be proud of)
  2. The Wrex one isn't too surprising when you take into account that the Long Service Medal, acquired for playing ME3 twice or through importing a save, was only gotten by 40% of players. And you need an ME2 save with Wrex alive to meet Wrex in ME3, he's dead by canon. Which incidentally means at least 60% of people were either new to the franchise at ME3, or didn't carry over a save for whatever reasons. Which might explain some of the other stats too (such as high amount of Soldier and MaleShep players) Also "Chose to save" is not a wording I would use.

    Broken Age

So what was the Kickstarter'd Double Fine Adventure is now Broken Age. http://www.brokenagegame.com/ Somewhat scarce on details so far, at least for non-backers.
  4. Well it'll be rocking lower res textures n low poly textures. It's also going to have only 3 of the maps from the main release. Which somewhat belies the "it's the a full port".
  5. http://www.gamefly.co.uk/download-games/browse/?pf=1100&cat=OnSale#.UU4psXRFBFt Pretty decent spring sale at Gamefly.
  6. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/03/23/xcom-enemy-unknown-iOS/ The news story if anyone wants it. I'm questionable on their ability to pull that off, iPad 10" seems possible, but a diddy little iPhone? No way. I struggled with Avadon and I'm on a Note, nevermind a smaller phone model. The visuals are getting a notable downgrade mind.

    Wii U

I second the PSP. PSP n PC are pretty much the de facto emulator machines. Can Wii U even be used to emulate anything yet?
  8. Looks like I'm off to an anime convention tomorrow.

The talks were mostly good too. One by a japanese culture teacher for London businessmen giving a talk on all that (and also about aid for Tsunami orphans too), panel on myth and legend in Anime, and two voice actors. One a female with super high pitched voice (K-ON, Blazblue, skullgirls, others)

But Sonny Strait was fun, especially since he voiced Krillin so it was something recognisable to me. There was a nice aura of community too, and not really any major weirdos (though couple Comic Book guy types in Q&A t'was funny to me)

I've been to Anime North several times. It has its ups and downs.

  9. Not entirely sure on what implementation you're aiming at so here is three example choices: http://chrome.com/maze/ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.digitalsquid.droidpad - this is somewhat a bit of a hit and miss though. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.splashtop.remote.pad.v2 - Essentially RemotePlay (though I think you've mentioned you use this already in the past)
  10. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2013/03/22/more-than-100-vita-games-coming-in-2013 So it's supposedly doing quite well, though the numbers mainly come from a user survey than stat tracking.

    Wii U

I think Sony and MS have done the right thing in making the second-screen controller(-ish) being a generic phone/tablet. Sure it means it won't be a primary control due to it not being bundled, but more and more folks are going to have tablets over the time of 8th gen. May as well make use of those instead of forcing a proprietary thing on you. Their games really are lackluster. No Wii U Sports, Wii U Fit. These are the system sellers of the Wii. The "You can get a games console, and because the games you own have the words Sport and Fit in them, you don't need to feel bad about letting your kids play on it all day". People will not buy a new console to play Deus Ex HR all over again either.
  12. Eh, the Apple that made the Pippin is not the same Apple that exists now.
  13. I ended up returning ACIII unbeaten, though housemates BF has lent me his copy so one day it may be completed. But for all it's my top new franchise of 7th gen, ACIII sure did suck. It's just so non-assassinany.
  14. Dungeons n Dragons as a four player beat-em up? This is still the D&D game that should be made but as of yet isn't.

  16. Could be close, though Telltales does have the long tail (and highly successful iOS release). Keep in mind this Walking Dead has the same word of mouth; "man that walking dead game is so good, you should get it"*, also a retail release from the get go instead of 8 months later. *This is pretty much how I ended up with Final Fantasy IX years back btw.

    Day Z

I'm interested, but not as a Combined Operations mod, kinda waiting on the standalone. I've got ARMA II from GMG freebie, and it controls kinda complex (though I've gotten ARMA III Lite, should give that a spin and see how that controls) edit: I should maybe make the sub-forum bit show up a bit better.
  18. You still have Sony and Nintendo, there's other companies in the wings. Samsung would be my big guess to fill in the third spot. (Though there's also waiting to see how Steambox plays out if it's more PC or console). I know many suggest Apple as maybe making a console one day, but games are far from their thing.
  19. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tv/s7/doctor-who/news/a467530/peter-jackson-wants-to-direct-doctor-who-pay-me-with-a-dalek.html Peter Jackson up for working on Dr Who. Moffat up for working with Peter Jackson. This could only end well. (Isn't there another Neil Gaiman one due this year?)

Ended up in the bath. I did like how OWB gave you devices that could turn crap into useable scrap. And a house pretty much from the get go as well.

  21. No doubt it will, it gets; Established TV characters Activsions marketing budget Positive word of mouth from the other Walking Dead game
  22. https://indiegamestand.com/ SPAZ (eurgh) is pay-what-you-want for next few days.
  23. Ah, COD players. Gotta love how none of these people seem to be getting kicked out, as would happen in any other sports or competition. In other news one of the guys I know ran a local Barcraft (Starcraft at a pub, like football) which might be starting back up soon so might end up swinging by.
  24. The cynic in me says there was more to it being turned down than having a female lead, but the developers are pushing this fact because they know there's people out there that will go out and grab this game based on that news than any other merits (or lack thereof) to the game. Especially in the current environment.
  25. Yeah it was IGN. I'm pretty sure the devs never back-pedalled. The only claims I saw of it being "leaked alpha footage not to be judged" was places like reddit n such.
