No way does the tech we use amount to 4 lighbulbs. My TV is 120w, and relatively old n thus inefficient, that's 10 lightbulbs right away. Got PC (with monitor) to that, nevermind the fridge-freezer constantly running. Washing machines, kettles, microwaves, mobiles, many others. Maybe, given other things in this show, the talk was that of the human body output is on par with 4 lighbulbs?

I think us Europeans are happy with keeping the traditional ways of not watering down the beer. But seriously, what traditions are we beholden too? Pubs round here sell a local strawberry beer, pretty untraditional. I'm pretty sure we've had the discussion of "microbreweries aren't some america only thing" discussion before now.

WipEout HD does it on the PS3, changes resolution to keep a consistent 60fps.

I've got a MU vibe from it. Some sequels just don't work so well.

http://www.code.org/mobile Certainly something I can get behind.

Should add that as far as TF2 stuff goes, it's hardly like people are entirely happy with how it was handled. I can't add much on Dead Space 3 stuff, but will add the Dragon Age Origins DLC shenanigans was exceedingly badly handled. At a glance it seems DS3 is on similar bad lines, which sucks when they kinda got it figured with BF and ME, with the main menu having a scrolling bar or similar alerting to DLC deals n such. Also PAR did a post about it earlier. Basically pointing out EA will be shifting to micro-transactions cos otherwise they're gonna go out of business. -

I think I've mentioned before now I use that system for folder/files. Anywho Terraced Houses in the UK become Row Homes in the US. Seems they're somewhat uncommon/rare within the US, going off the fact I learnt the name from a reddit thread where people were attempting to pinpoint where a picture of a half demolished house was at (Philadelphia). In the UK I'd be pretty stumped to figure out where that could be based purely off the picture of a side of a terraced house. I'd take a stab in the dark that we've got a large amount of terraced homes due to them being quick to build to thus supply housing demand in coal pit areas (and similar) as well as being quick to replace the homes bombed in WWII.

I don't think Ethan is portraying it as end of the world, just being a bit tongue in cheek that despite Blizzards original stance on Diablo 3 needing to be always on-line n hearing nothing else on the matter, here is Diablo 3 not being always on-line.

Same with Alex Heat's surprise about ME3 stuff: It's gotten reannounced for PS3/4 so the issues with the game will be reannounced too. So yeah people had shut up about it, until Blizzard didn't.

What would they be wanting to do online wise that Sony doesn't support though? This being the console with DUST 514 and Steam. I imagine they likely realised the whole issues with making a console game always-online than any hugely technical reasoning. The PC side of things has been discussed before though, largely political than any technical. Whole Battle.Net stuff makes easier to push other services if they're combined (which'd is less relevant to PS3/4 side of things since WoW n SC2 isn't on PS3/4)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2013/feb/26/apple-settlement-children-in-app-purchases Lawsuit regarding IAPs. Didn't realise iOS didn't put a pin on IAPs, I know (annoyingly so) you need a password just to download free apps so bit of a weird reversal (Android the PIN is only on purchases, can download free stuff to hearts content PIN free)

http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2013/feb/12/robert-downey-jr-black-mirror Robert Downer Jr has optioned rights to the 3rd episode as a film.

I think coming into Black Mirror on the last episode might have been a bad idea. Pretty damn good, Charlie Brooker is certainly welcome to criticise stuff. I'd say Americans might not like it though since it's only 3 episodes per series. Can wait on the RDJ film though. Shame Weekly Wipe seems to be a bit naf compared to previous Wipes.

My understanding is within the Us it's the womens soccer that is the one to watch. Also temptation to rename the thread is strong. Anywho here's a picture of me as a child mascot for Leeds United. I'm not much into the sport. My grandad would be the primary Leeds supporter in the family, but his season ticket is with Darlington FC, one of the local clubs. Goes there with my brother now n then too.

I've being saying about having all three in a HD collection since day one.

Yeah I've heard quite a few grumblings about the price points, given how quick things like that can be figured out I'd have thought they'd tested a fair few price points.

What if within the next month the zombie apocalypse actually begins? If it wasn't for the fact I live at the top of a hill I'd be up for fixing up step-dads bike, but yeah, hill. I need to get a gym partner, had originally planned to go along with housemate but driving lessons pull funds from other stuff like that.

Yeah, have it with a few games already. Darkadia added a "shelved" option a month or so ago.

4:1 ratio of beaten games to new games. I think I mentioned it in the New Years Resolutions thread. So for every four games in my collection I remove from from the backlog, I can purchase one new game to add to it. Eventually whittling down my backlog from the current 88 unfinished games I currently have. Of course it's not likely to be entirely possible given some of those are HIB games I don't much care for.

Saint's Row The Third Man the flying machines in that game are good. It's much improved over SR2 in the vehicle side of things actually. All in all rather good, though the story missions can lead to changes that make side missions much harder (trying to fight off a bunch of luchador and zombies is a bit of a pain). The sonic weapon was much fun, I killed way too many people with it (as in I should really have used more conventional weaponry many times). One hell of a way to empty a car though. Also as this is my fourth game beaten this yeart I can now get a new game

Wreck It Ralph Pretty damn fine. Certainly one of the better gaming movies we're going to see. Product placement would be the main parts that are iffy. Fair few laughs, pretty good pacing (though goes a bit weird in early candyland segment).
