From what I've seen and heard of Animal Crossing it seems a game that might tickle my fancy. But no Nintendo consoles. I think there's a DS version, but I've a feeling that doesn't compare to the main console games. Anyone any experience with difference between handheld and console versions?

Two weeks left. Yeah, the whole "stick around for just one series" is why I'm not keen on the companions being the focus of the arc.

I'm kind of amazed people didn't realise it was coming given it launched with DLC for the digital deluxe. The first item being the Marina is somewhat sucky (especially if you're someone that argues that DLC isn't stuff that would have been in the game in the first place...)

Peaceful is how most of us play it I think. Then suddenly one giant super army because people have been building alliances in the background.

Civ V multi has been done many times. It does sometimes not like certain people hosting, though I think past few times have gone fine except for tactics.

I'd be up for some Civ V in future. Haven't done MP in a while, was always fun. Especially with the accidental declaring of 10 turn peace by one of the newbies. And yeah I've not touched Gods n Kings, I think Ethan actually bought it for me :/

Wow, what? The reason people don't ask how long a movie is is because they don't need to ask; for the most part movies are fairly consistent length, in the neighborhood of 2 hours. If I went to the theater and bought a ticket expecting a full-length feature film and instead got something 45 minutes long I'd be pissed the same as if I bought a video game for 60 bucks and it was over in 4 hours. Wouldn't even be allowed to call it a feature film if it was 45 minutes. @FDS: Werne't you just over in the Games You Beat thread other day complaining on lack of length to Crysis 2 n 3?

On one hand it's nice they're keeping folks updated, on the other hand many of the "unique permeations" that folks have come up with that show shitty AI aren't exactly unique and given they were discovered within days of release you'd assume various basic road structures would have been tested during development to check that the AI didn't do silly things in their shiny GlassBox engine.

You know it's based on a comic book series and that got a sequel too right? I'm only a bit through the second comic series at the moment and trailer of KA2 film seems to be diverging in a few areas (though stuff that makes some sense in slimming it down to 2hr film). Film seems to be realyl pushing Jim Carrey being on the roster, and it seems Jim Carrey has really enjoyed joining in.
