  1. Should old acquaintance be forgot, and ne'er be brought to mind?

Depends. Did/does her friendship mean nothing to you?

Would need a few more details on the situation and whether or not you could still be friends.

  2. Could probably it up Metalcaveman for help with number 5. (And I'm sure many of us can suggest stuff for 2-4)
  3. Well after Wii U Scribblenuats and the minor confusion that started it's always worth a quick check (and didn't see the Soundtrack bit )
  4. See I'm the complete opposite, currently sat copying files onto my WD portable HDD, with a large external back-up back home. Seagates have generally been the ones that failed, and mechanically at that which makes it nigh unrecoverable. Probably the most notable for really shitty hard drives was Maxtor, but they've thankfully gone under at some point past 5 years or so.
  5. You buy the soundtracks, or you pick the wrong images?
  6. Yo PXOD writers past n present, hit up Gdocs n vote wouldya.

  8. So my little 7yr old sister has an Android tablet (cheap chinese thing). Just wondering if any of you guys might know of any childrens comics, especially ones in a self enclosed series instead of long running ones like Beano and such. I'm especially struggling as I don't think "Girls of comic-con" and "Hit Girl" are quite appropriate.
  9. Chronicle is on my to do list, good to hear praises, might have to move it up a few notches. Though I am still a tad wary mind, found footage isn't exactly a favourite of mine,.
  10. The face of Bruce Wayne (composite of the various actors that've played him over the years) Also TDKR is still a pretty weak entry in the series. Part of me is like "buy it, round out the trilogy" "Don't buy it, it's kinda naf" "It's still better than many other films". If I see it on sale I'll likely end up with it I guess.
  11. Playing ffix on ma PSP. Was gonna boot up Towns but netbook spat it's battery dummy so maybe have a play tonight.
  12. I also bought xcom. Walking Dean:
  13. X-COM for £10.50, combining the current 50% off with 30% off-code GMG30-DPLIM-DN831 http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/gb/en/pc/games/strategy/xcom-enemy-unknown/
  14. I can't really vouch for this game. The choice system is pretty lame, the shooting is non-existent and while there is a fast travel system built in there's a bug where it's only usable if the weather system is in the "heavy rain" position. Also it only lasts about 25 minutes (less if the fast travel works), with most of the game play being in repeated playings of the New Game+.
  15. And suddenly these end up on the shelves of your local comic book shop. So, the Christmas Special, eh?
  16. Huh, did a google. Saw a copy of this in Travelling Man when checking if there was anything for like a fiver to pick up for random fun times while at mums over Xmas. (Turns out except for 52-card decks, that's a no). Google also suggests it used to be able to be played with a regular 52-card deck, but not any more. I guess making a game that can be done with standard cards isn't very profitable. I'll suggest it. I think Munchkin expansions seem to be the main additions up to now, and then shifting onto...errr. Can't remember, a D&D-like but not Pathfinder. I think maybe space orientated. I have Xmas spending money, so I'll see.
  17. I don't know enough about "alternative" board games to join in. I guess as n when cash rolls in I at least have a group of folks up in Newcastle that'd probably be into that kind of stuff though (especially since they seem pretty keen on Munhckin)
  18. My future child better be happy with having "Vivi" as a middle name.

    Steam

It used to pop up with a warning that of your local files and cloud files one was newer than other (they should be same age) and to pick which to keep, no sign which is newer. It now includes the exact timestamp for the local and cloud files. I'll see if I can grab the reddit link later. edit: Couldn't find the reddit thread (cos their search is worse than this place) but did find pretty much the exact same thing via google to illustrate: Before complaint: After complaint:
  20. A Game of Dwarves from Hot Heart and Towns via Ethan For running the forum. (and being EiC)
  21. But at that point it's just pending, it can be withdrawn by the sendee. Until it's accepted and in your library it's not yours. The ability to add games to your inventory, and thus re-gift it, is certainly an improvement on the old method.
  22. Oh yeah forgot this, for the lawyers of the forum.

    Steam

I've only had it go wrong once and that was with Rock of Ages and a known bug at the time (well..known once their forums filled with "your game ate our save data"). You can, and if you're only one one PC somewhat recommended I guess, disable the Steam Cloud stuff. Right click the game > Properties > Updates > uncheck the "enable steam cloud" box. I know about a month or so ago under recommendation on reddit tweak the "you've newer/older cloud saves" box to give specific times and dates to let you pick which you want to keep. I would guess Steam might be straining a bit at the moment with lots of folks getting new games and such. Making sure it's fully exited before shutting down PC would probably be a good idea (steam will bring a little window up of "finalising Cloud sync" or similar)
