So big one, since it's a topic a couple of us discussed the other day: Watch_Dogs is definitely coming to PS3 and 360, but will be targeting "multiple platforms" so PC, and next-gen a possibility but won't require it (as started to be suspected due to it going under the radar so fast). There's going to be an app, which could be neat. I think Far Cry 3 has an app for the MP side of things, it "decodes" stuff. Seems more of a "add it in because it's the hot shit right now" but could be something cool for this kind of game. The big bummer, and I'm unsure if this is relevant to now or if it was done in 2012 but it supposedly won't ship this year. I'm hoping that's from an interview conducted last year. edit: As Hot_Heart has just highlighted, it is from last year. June last year. Why does random shit like this end up "new"

The main plan is to get a good idea of what cross section of games we have, when it comes to playing them it'll likely be along the lines of "come play this game tonight", probably on weekends. Just be a case of like come 9PM on Saturday someone hitting up a couple people going "Wanna play Tribes?" and them hitting up others then snowballing from there. As opposed to some formal event being organised ahead of time for a specific game as they don't always work out. And on top of that being able to check a list see what games you might have in common with other people and even organising something between yourselves, like some co-op Portal 2, or trophy hunting in a specific game or what not.

Had my little sister watching that over Xmas, think she watched it about 3 times. I'm not really a fan of Will Ferrell so it's an oddity for me. It's a pretty good multi-level film; got the jokes for kids, the jokes for adults, the breakdown of the superhero genre. Oh and it gets the origin story out of the way in the first few minutes of the film which most other proper superhero films seem to struggle with doing in the first few films.

Oh yeah any multi-plat games will be added to their respective lists. Just didn't feel like repeating stuff (apart from Castle Crashers n CODs it seems). Kinda why it dwindles down to nothing come 360. What MP Wii U games are there, or is their not much of the internet MP variety? (Ones that you lot are likely or interested to play that is)

See something like that would be neat (and I've seen similar in the past), just ones that limit it to MP games only, and in a much more readable list are next to non-existent.

Wanting this year to have a bit more of an active MP gaming community going on. Work through the various issues that crop up when sorting this stuff out and make it as smooth as possible. Certainly something like the old "Mod Mondays" we used to have. We'd pick a new source mod (or repeats, we were particularly fond of a few) and play some MP of it. First step is we could do with knowing what MP games we all have. So I'm going to make up a Google Docs form so you can tick off what MP games you have n what not which should make it simple to just do a SUM and find that there's 20 folks with TF2, 10 with Borderlands 2 and only one with Total War. I'm sure if I was a brighter man I could make some kind of code that'd analyse the games a community has on Steam and slim it down to MP only titles and see the crossover. But I'm not. So before I do that (which'll be tomorrow since it's kinda late now) I could do with a rough list of games to add in to this form. I'll start, shout up any you have or can think of extra. PC Competitive: TF2, CS:GO(S/1.6), DOTA 2. Anyway, add any suggestions, maybe an initial indication of games in particular you'd like to play. Then I'll throw up a form, make results public and move on from their.

I've updated the rules for the new year. Mainly consolidating some rules, removing irrelvant ones (Such as reference to the Gallery and New Vegas). I've also added in a rule on spoilers; if it's a game within the past two years then use spoiler tags. The button occasionally disappears but it's simple enough to type in manually. In fact it's normally easier as you can type to hearts content, then spoiler tag when you're done instead of typing it inside the pop-up. [spoiler]spoiler goes here[/spoiler] Also a tweak of signature rules, which I will be enforcing at some point in the future. The image and link thing is enforced by the system, but achievements cards are embedded, they technically just count as links, not images, and there's one or two of you that have gone a bit overboard. The only way to have the signature editor enforce a limit would be to reduce the link count down to one too. I've also updated the donation thread for a new year too.

Bunch of screenshots. 13 days, same as FFXIII had to it's story. And as it states there's clocks throughout the world, which you must keep an eye on. Certainly going to be interesting to see what they do with it. But at this point I'm kinda longing for a more traditional ATB game for FFXV. They got the balance between real-time and ATB down to pat with FFXII, XIII and XIII:LR is leaning a bit too much in the realm of real-time and interactive battles to be heading more towards ARPGs and I don't play Final Fantasy games in order to play an ARPG.

http://penny-arcade.com/report/editorial-article/ouya-developers-share-enthusiasm-reasons-for-support-and-lack-of-piracy-fea Dev kits are now in the hands of devs and PAR have hit up some of the devs. Looks pretty positive outlook for the devs; SDK uses Unity, porting to Ouya controller even simpler than to Steams Big Picture, and the hardware is standard fair so can get good results before optimization. The only big question left at the moment is the dev back-end for the service, submitting games and getting in payment (though the Airmech guys have stated they're using their own system anyway).

I'm sure if someone was to put the time in we'd even know when the most common time for beating games was, and the clumping of games release dates and so on. I'd say at a quick glance I'd say 2011 games were the most beaten, just in the top 10 alone eight are from 2011 and only two are from 2012 and that's early 2012 at that. This years top games will likely be Assassins Creed 3, XCOM, Dishonored, and Borderlands 2. With maybe a dash of Last of Us. Oh and I'd take a guess that Ethan beat the most games with his 37 beaten. That'd account for roughly 10% of the games beaten, assuming he posted every one up on here.

Bought myself two bottles of Riggwelter. £1.95 a pop which ain't too bad. "riggwelter" is a term for a sheep that's fallen on it's back and can't get back over again. Most likely a reference to the fact it's Black Sheeps strongest brew. Also they put it in nearly everything, so riggwelter christmas cake, riggwelter gravy, riggwelter icecream, and so on. It's quite sweet (as far as ales go, obviously not sugary sweet like alcopops). Here's their page with various info and such.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that you can get your way through to the end, but be fucked because you've not come across a level 4 laser or whatever in your journey to beat the boss so you just have to give up at that point.

I'll assume you beat that yesterday. Doesn't change the rankings mind, but that was a somewhat common game.

I'll add in a Google Docs link later, but main facts would be is the most beaten game of the year is Batman Arkham City, with 10 of us beating it. Joint third being Saint's Row 3 and Mass Effect 3. And combined we'd beaten 210 titles, with a grand total of 384 games beaten. Oh and obviously in case anyone isn't aware new thread for a new year (might suggest that for Games Bought thread too.)
