I have being playing Syndicate via LoveFilm. I'm not a fan, but I want to persevere. At least get a decent time out of it on the rental before shipping it back off. I feel for the most part it's a bog standard FPS, with a "hacking" system built in which basically acts like a grenade in a normal game would (at least the current hacks do). Also to initiate the "hacks" you just hold down L2. I put the game down when I got to a boss that teleported around, had an auto-aiming gun (like Fifth Element style), immune to my "hacks" and thus only killable with bullets, of which he is seemingly immune to as well There's no indicators (in this full connected digital world..) of his health either so I don't even know if I'm dying when he's mid health, or if he's just pixels away from death. Basically it has the issue of assuming an FPS needs a boss.

I should maybe throw out, for those that don't know, but we don't have a blanket ban on fire arms in the UK. Mainly handguns from the '97 lw. Can still own various air rifles, and shotguns under license. Mainly for farmers and hunting. And since Dunblane in '96 there has only been one mass killing in the UK. Of course as noted in many places theres a fair amount of cultural differences at play such as not having gun ownership as our second commandment amendment n the free mental health stuff (if that's something in play with all this, I personally think not. At least on a general scale, it's clear some are a bit warped but so are many others that wouldn't think of shooting up people).

I remember the 3 months or so I was at these student apartments after first year and they had it all running through their own ISP. Expensive as shit, lucky if you got 1Mbs and no wi-fi or proper porting. Had to get an ethernet card for my PC and bridge to my PS3.

Well the ones I have at the moment, mainly to populate it with something so I can play around with the options, are yanked from imgur. Though I'm aware some of them seem to be the ones Steam has by default for some games (Which I'd aim to avoid). Potentially a hurdle to be crossed, easy enough to add disclaimers and remove content as n when.

Right Steam lets you, as of quite a while ago, add in custom images for the Grid view in Library (including to Steam games, not just non-steam games). However at the moment if you're wanting to find images for these you're kinda having to trek around the web through various forums and such to get them, there's (as best I can tell) no singular repository and certainly nothing sortable. So I figured maybe worth doing it myself? This is what I've got in WAMP at the moment. It's just running off some gallery software called Piwigo with a theme on it and various settings tweaked. Tomorrow I might make a sub-domain and make something live on the site (though if it's something to make properly then I'd probably get a proper domain) Would any of you make use of such a site? Think it's a good idea? Have any thoughts/suggestions/offerings of help? What I'd like, but seem to be unable to do with this, is to add in Oauth support, and sort out the homepage. Tweaking the homepage is possible, but it's pretty much raw HTML/piwigo mark-up which I don't know.

So end of last year I embarked on a rebuild of the main blog site. With the major handy cap of knowing fuck all about making websites. Rather than let my efforts go to waste here's the site as it is today: and here's where I got with re-building the site in WAMP Homepage n such looks okay, but there's a huge issue when you get into some of the articles, especially the review ones. So yeah it's only about 80% done. It's also mainly changing the CSS of the current site, some of the extra code put into the theme we use is gibberish to me so I've no way of changing it. I could potentially put a chunk of what I have up to now into the live site though and provide some kind of change, but I'd rather have a full refresh and just blast it up in the site in one fell swoop. I've a new mate who I think does WP so I might hit him up some point (just the whole "new" part means various boundaries for asking favours) edit: now I see one of the issues. Yeah if you look it's in the "Review" part of the site, but "Home" is the section highlighted. I don't understand WP enough to know what code I'm meant to be putting in to make the top-level nav change.

I am playing very little at the moment, and it sucks as I want to rectify this at some point, but of late I've only had spare time come late at night and for some reason I'm getting much sleepier around midnight than I normally do. Also struggling to decide what to play. The whole first world problem of a full pantry and nothing to eat. I really want to beat something. Just most titles I have are RPGs.

Brave My housemate wasn't pleased with the whole "romantic notions of scottish past based upon viewpoints of americans and scottish". Since as an archaeological student it should of course be a near documentary. She liked Meridia as a new addition to the "Disney Princesses" though. She'd noted that it could be construed as a pro-scottish independence film, until I pointed out the whole scene with the four brothers on the chess board. As for myself it was rather fun to watch, cliche and predictable in many parts but a fair few memorable moments such as the fathers impression of Meridia to the queen and the woodcarvers hut segment. The film kept a very brisk pace, in parts a bit too brisk, which in ways was good as it meant it didn't expand too much effort in the whole "always trust your mother" moral of the story which somewhat limits the target audience of the film somewhat.

..as long as you pay for the privilege, and only do it on that one planet way out of the way in the outer rim(heheh). Bioware and their "we're going to homosexual relations in, but in such a way we might as well have not bothered and in a way that draws attention to our game" as usual.

Yeah thats a bit old, I guess no one invested into the tech last time due to the issues of it only working on like iPhone keyboards(since they're always going to be the same one). It's actually from a fair bit older now I think of it cos I was diving around on past rumours n shiz last night and it cropped up as a rumour for the tech in the "Project Cafe" touch-screen controller.

I think they're doing well in the whole "answering unanswered questions" kinda stuff, with showing a bit of the future and explaining how the observers came to be. Also next week...the other side are back!! I'm curious how the other side don't seem to have aged as much mind.

I've known of the Greek one for ages from a classic book I had as a kid called "How to hold a crocodile" (that was on the last page). Because Dark Messiah was a Source game made with involvement by Valve. Which adds legitimacy to the idea Valve would pick them to work on one of their major Source titles. As opposed to a game made years later on a different engine and produced by Bethesda.

New characters normally, specifically for playing with those people. Hence a bit of dedication needed to games like that. Also later today I'll be adding in a X360 and PS3 poll in here, and figuring a way of properly exporting the PC list so you lot can have an oggle.
