    Apple

http://www.zdnet.com/apple-loses-u-k-samsung-appeal-must-run-apology-ads-7000005978/ Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond, Apple lose their appeal and must run advertisements in UK papers, and on their own website, stating that Samsung did not copy their product design.

So the joke is that Gyarados is big.

Forgive me if I don't think that's a joke at all.

Welcome to joining the comic in this late. You may want to go back to the inception of Mr Fish.

  2. Small research business, of course they're not churning out stuff on the large scale yet. As they said it'll be 15 years until it's at the scale of an oil refinery, which makes sense. Needs a lot more than £1million to start that off and all the infrastructure and such in place. Tiny acorns n all that. It's same with fusion, only a few seconds of energy now, and not all that useful, but given enough push. And this is a lot simpler to scale up since the chemistry has been laid out.
  3. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/exclusive-the-scientists-who-turned-fresh-air-into-petrol-8217382.html How is something this cool happening in Stockton (Though given Billingham n such isn't far away I'd check the air to make sure there's no petrol in it to begin with).
  4. Not a roommate issue. But one of locale. See we have two newsagents at the top of the road. But me n Erin only use one and Melissa thinks we're crazy. We use Today's News. Bus is in the way but if you head left/west along the road you'll see the one we don't go to.
  5. 1. That's not how I remember it from the comic books. 2. If I was Tim Burton I'd be asking questions about my wife n Johnny Depp.

    Wii U

You don't have your console in the living room?
  7. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-19869673 Amazed no one posted this. Anywho, one of the 2012 Nobel Prizes was a joint award for two teams of scientists who have managed to use regular cells to create stem cells then from there to create clones of frogs n mice. Being able to turn regular cells into Stem Cells is considered a reproductive sciences holy grail. Also opens all kinds of avenues of medicine if you can make stem cells from adult cells.
  8. As a minor update to this, I saw a copy in GAME a couple weeks back. It's a slimline case with a sort of card holder instead of a disc holder. I assume it's a card with the CD-key printed on. It was pretty fucking silly tbh. In other Origin news: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-10-15-gamers-go-free-game-crazy-after-ea-origin-survey-code-cock-up Boo to you if you didn't take up on it and could. Shaner obviously did.
  9. http://www.sfx.co.uk/2012/10/17/neil-gaiman-doctor-who-story-confirmed-for-series-7b/ Neil Gaiman is doing another episode of Doctor Who.
  10. http://www.bioshockinfinite.com/collector And the Collectors Edition is announced. They get bored early on but they make the nice quite nicely interactive too if you're wanting an oggle at what you're getting.
  11. Oh Nick Griffin. Ever the upstanding example of a fine MP. And this too: https://es.twitter.com/nickgriffinmep/status/258972760355782656 bit after the top one.
  12. Normally unless specified beans means baked beans. As for cheese, up to you. I prefer mature cheddar. Something you can't grate can't really be used.
  13. Why does Batman sound like Little Nicky in the Maps video?
  14. Surely there's more songs for 3D aimed-at-kids movie trailers than Funkytown? And yeah it's looking neat, not sure I'd watch it at the cinema though. As for Die Hard 5.0, I'm not a huge fan of him now just being straight out action hero than the original "accidentally at the skyscraper airport when the terrorists attack" plot of first few. (Yeah that didn't so much happen with 3. But that's where it should have ended anyway imo)
  15. Just to fill folks in on a status post from a while back: This part specifically:
  16. Any good Tofu recipes? We want to give it a shot (since afaik it's vegetarian and other housemate is a half arsed vegetarian). There's a chinese supermarket in town too so all sorts of chinese good. Though we went last week and all we got was some super noodles(there was a really nice one that I don't know what it was but it was "Thai something") and...60 vegetable Spring Rolls cos we could. Also not really a recipe but worth sharing and it intrigued other housemates: Lorrymans Lunch. Basically two slices of toast, with beans on top then some grated cheese and one or two fried/poached eggs on top. Feel good food.
  17. Last Remnant. Again. I'm now where I last was, but I've obviously skipped some of the side-quests or forgotten bits because I carry on hitting points where I think I'm caught up then something else happens and I'm like "wait no I did this part before too". It's good and I'm intrigued to follow along with the story(though it occasionally jumps n lurches about n takes a while to follow what's going on again), but there's a ton of technical niggles with it (Which thankfully a few will go as n when I can fully man my squads, as it stands I'm still at the stages of hitting new parts of the game and getting access to being able to use like 3 more soldiers at a time). I'd say my main issues that won't ever go away is you have no access to an area map until you've found the map of the area, so even places you've walked along and explored don't count; you can only open the map once you've got the whole thing. Made this one area, subtitled "forest of illusions" and PITA to navigate as it was kind of structured a bit fractally.
  18. Ummm... Bit harsh. Besides, "a Damage Over Time" makes no sense. So there. A Damage Over Time Effect if you really want to get technical. It's more a case of "we're naming a style of RPG after a geographical region now?" But "now" being decades ago and it stuck. But if I say "JRPG" you understand the mechanics of the battle system in the game in a menu based attack system as opposed to a shooty/slashy affair of most "WRPGs".
  19. Should be getting internet tomorrow. Wooo :D

  20. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19929249 A follow up to the "Britishisms". I got reminded by it due to the "fall/autumn" in the status post.
  21. But to appear to be a proper leak they'd need to get pally with release groups, which I doubt would ever happen, n certainly not for purpose of practical joke. I understand it wasn't expected to make much discussion but these things happen. Just thought i'd highlight the issues in such a plan.
  22. "Bungie release Halo 4 to Piratebay" is bound to raise many questions and the proper disc will still be pirated anyway like normal. Edit: even more so as Bungie don't make halo anymore.
