  1. A podcast I listen to was chatting about it and did raise the good point that not everyone does as we do (and they do) of like analysing all the little bits or having the book to pull from n such so it's more a case of reaffirming that for the people that hadn't picked up on it last series. Which would imply that they'll be leaning on it a bit for the finale.
  2. I've yet to watch it (figured I'd watch Luke Cage n Iron Fist first), but I'm to understand on the Danny front this was made before Iron Fist, despite coming out after. Meaning that this couldn't do any course correction on the issues folks took with the standalone. But have to figure that the second series will sort out the foibles folks have with him. Anywho watched GotG2 with some of my siblings today. Turns out my younger bro thought Nebula was a boy, and had been a bit confused on the whole "sister" arc of the film.
  3. I picked up Gears of War, Project Gotham Racing 4 and Super Street Fighter IV for the office Xbox 360. (which is technically mine, just I only have Lost Odyssey for it and playing some light competitive/co-op games can be good. I know there's a pie-in-the-sky thing of getting set up with a proper VR system down the line but that's for when the cashflow is very strong).
  4. I know what I'm not reading. I am currently giving Ian M Banks "Culture" series a shot.
  5. Rick & Morty starts off as a bit of a parody of sorts on existing sci-fi, which has dropped a lot since as it became its own thing and I'm not sure if I'd like it to go back to some of the earlier parodying tropes. It was somewhat inventive with some of them (e.g Inception meets Nightmare on Elm Street). As for Fringe it's worth watching just for the fan service of the final series. Always good when shows get to know ahead of time that they're ending. Jon Noble is great. Though if you're only into series 1, which he's good in anyway, I can't really expand on that too much. (and the above clip btw doesn't really give anything away, especially lacking context). Also it has Lance Reddick in it. Preacher S2 its great. And I totally have a new episode to watch today. Sweet.
  6. I picked up the "Beat the Average" on the latest Jumbo Bundle.
  7. I've debated shopping online for glasses. On one hand I kind of like to try them on before hand, but on the other I always feel I'm wearing glasses that don't suit me so it's a bit of a pointless exercise I guess.
  8. I quite liked it, decent pay off and set up the pieces for the final series. Do feel that with us now having the finale that some payoffs were planned then worked back from to flesh out the rest of the series. Slightly bummed that we had an arena and no pay-off for that thing.
  9. Kept my avatar as the best black mage.

  10. Colossal Enjoyable, but not quite what I expected. Kind of feel that it "blew its load" early as it were then kind of span its wheels for a while until it could hit the 90 minute mark and wrap up the film. It's a neat idea kinda squandered on crappy pacing. I think if they'd maybe held off a bit on the "reveal" (even though it's in the trailer, and heck poster too) they'd have helped develop the characters a bit. Some weird changes in behaviour for a couple characters. It wasn't wasted time, and it's otherwise enjoyable just feels the pacing is a bit clunky. YMMV
  11. I have Until Dawn, my sis recently played it with her partner but I assumed it was in a "I watched over his shoulder" type thing, not hat it was MP (also I'm not a great person for horror games, and not sure my younger siblings are either :P). I grab all the PS+ games. So anything since Rocket League rolled out I have. I've seen overcooked about, I'll have a looksy.
  12. So seems the original got taken down, which imo is fine since this Channel 4 version is much better Which reminds me I'm still yet to watch S2 of Humans.
  13. So I recently picked up a second DS4. What are some good two player games to grab for PS4? Ideally short-play stuff (so fighting, racing, etc type games rather than like a full co-op campaign). Mainly to play with my younger teen siblings when they're over. At the moment, through PS+, I have; - Rocket League - LittleBigPlanet 3 - Probably some others. Unfortunately PS Store both on the console and on PC is absolutely wank so I've no idea if I have more games that have local co-op. For example I have Hell Divers but for the life of me I'd have no idea from the product description if it's local multi-player https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-gb/games/helldivers/cid=EP9000-CUSA00231_00-HELLDIVERSMOTG00 Looking through my list (which is labourius) I seem to have: - Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time - Tearaway - Starwhal - Discjam (maybe? it doesn't say "local" like the others) - Badland - Magicka 2 (sweet) "Tiny Troops: Joint Ops" is singleplayer despite the name implying otherwise. Actually I'm maybe not too fucked for range, but still I'm open to recommendations.
  14. I recently picked up a dual-DVD of Night Watch and Day Watch for £2, and a poker kit for £7. I am the last of the big spenders.
  15. https://blog.ubi.com/assassins-creed-final-fantasy-xv-collaboration-revealed-gamescom/ So there's going to be a crossover of sorts between FFXV and AC:Origins with AC stuff rolling out in FFXV from next week for a festival like the chocobo thing.
  16. I like they kinda skipped a shit ton of their weathering side of things, also their blades are really floppy, I'm guessing a cheaper metal since they're making "replaceable" blades.

  18. CDPR are definitely pretty dang golden at the moment. They're very much on a "will buy site unseen" at the moment. Obsidian are pretty good. Their games have flaws, but a lot of heart and care. Unfortunately most studios fall into this: Most current Valve stuff I've little interest in for example, and Bioware have had a severe decline over the years.
  19. A walk through with the Dog that so concerned Tenshi (seems it's just a recruit, much like companions in FO, not always required). Also a dogfight.
  20. FFXV is coming to Windows (a bit of a "no shit" really) Support for 4K, mods, a bunch of the DLC and season pass stuff rolled into it and so on. Also a bunch of Nvidia stuff rolled in that makes me think Nvidia might be bank rolling a bit of this, definitely expect it to come with some of the higher end GPUs. Also some pretty insane system requirements (though now I go to link em, it seems there's no official source on the requirements and now I'm thinking someone is playing silly games). They're also, in a much less "well duh", coming out with a mobile port Which is where their shitty little building game is gonna fuck em over since that's already embedded in searches for "FFXV" on app stores. I'm curious how scaled back it'll be, it seems that it's kinda covering most of the game which'll be insane if so.
  21. Shadow Warrior is free on Steam.
  22. Yeah I'd like to see the return of the evil Morty. One of Ricks dismissive remarks, which also got touched upon again and refreshed in folks mind in 3.01 is that they're not Ricks original family (nor Mortys), and technically for all we know (especially given some of the discrepancies Bird Person brought in) even the "original" family weren't Ricks original family he just waltzed in to their lives and they're 95% close enough. I guess if you were hanging out with a family you knew damn well weren't "technically" your family and you could hope to one of thousands of realities and continue on with a different but same family you'd be a bit desensitised to it all too.
