Yeah "OMG Tablet" comes with "OMG I already own an iPad/Fire/Whatever". And nearly everyone I know with a Wii it's pretty much an occasional thing, or it's guys liek you that get it out to play the Nintendo classics of Zelda n Other M n such. As for the power, yeah I was expecting more the Wii U to be to this gen as Wii is to GCN/PS2. Not to be pretty much on-par or maybe below. I guess we'll have to wait n see. Rumours are good for speculation n such, but ultimately they're still just rumours. The same people that voted in Mario and Zelda to be head on head with each other? Gagging for Zelda n Xenoblade n all that? I'm sure folks here don't care as long as they can play the latest Nintendo franchise title.

What I'm getting at is on a stick where you need to lift it up for reverse there's considerable resistance. Not so much resistance as a brick wall in trying to put it in reverse without doing it properly. What I'm implying is you've got a fucked gearbox, thus the brick wall of resistance is gone, providing only minor resistance where you can pass the stick into reverse, and the car gives off a warning tone that it's fucked.

Much of a muchness. Your'e either pulling on the nob or the shaft. As for Fuchikoma, I've a feeling the lack of resistance isn't a feature and the tone may be a warning sound that the gearbox is mush

I assume they're also waiting to roll out their services for it too. Even if the hardware came out here it'd be pretty slim pickings for content.

Actually it seems like a small price to pay considering the alternative of driving away in 1st then switching to R by accident. It doesn't save hassle - it saves needing a new set of synchro rings, gears, clutch etc if you made a mistake once or twice. As hotheart mentioned through, you've got to lift the stick up to go into reverse anyway, something that's not so simple to do by accident.

Well yeah, that's why I put it in "sources" like so. Wouldn't surprise me if most sources are "hey frank, what do you think the Wii U will be like?" "oi Mike, what do you think will be in the PS4?", etc

I'm able to drive (and have on n off since I was 12, though not for a fair few years now). I just can't legally drive. I've neither the money, nor the pressing need to get a license anyway.

Most likely to do with how the game is made. Also if it moves by roads it know how far, by road, the person is from work (Since the sims move by road). But by a broadcast, line of sight, the sim may be just a couple of units away, but actually be a few miles of road away. edit: as for speed, possibly just to show you. He's in a debug view, I'm sure they'll have a "run these elements slowly so I can see where it's going wrong" control.

Apparently a gear stick in the US is enough to make your car mostly theft proof. So what's with the whole lack of these things in your car?

I might grab a tablet at some point (At the very least I think we'll be getting one for the company later down the line anyway), Kindle Fire is a nice price. Shame about the whole hardware issues and US-onlyiness.

Well not all of it goes on the roads (I'm sure if all the money went on the roads it'd get rather mushy fast), but I'd say it's fair to expect at least some of it to go towards roads repair n such.
